About this bed and breakfast
Welcome to Steelhead Creek Vineyards! We came to Sonoma County 15 years ago, planted a vineyard and started making wine. We love it here and this is our home. It's a beautiful place and we enjoy sharing this piece of heaven with you. We tend to our sheep and goats. We work in the vineyard, and we love living here. Come stay with us. Your casita is completely private and you will have access to all the grounds and trails, as well as all the wildlife and birds. You will be welcome here. It's beautiful and quiet, and we love the serenity and peacefulness that you will experience while staying here.
Your spacious, bright vineyard casita is among the vines on 258 acres about 1.5 hours north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Cities close by (20-45 minutes) include, Calistoga, St Helena, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Kenwood, Glen Ellen, and Healdsburg. You’re surrounded by wineries and great restaurants. All amenities provided. Fully equipped kitchen. Covered outdoor dining with grill. Wildlife sightings can include deer, foxes, wild turkeys, owls, hawks, California quail, and more.

What a lovely property, with vineyard and hill views, sheep and goats. So peaceful. The road to the property is a bit hair-raising the first time (definitely recommend arriving in daylight) but after a trip or two I was comfortable driving it. We would definitely return!

This is our favorite vacation home to stay at for our Anniversary. We celebrated our Anniversary in 2020 here and now again August 2024! The owners were great in every way. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

We loved our stay at the Casita in the vineyard! Thai and Cynthia are friendly and attentive hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is very well stocked and lacked for nothing. The observation deck up on the hill was one of our favorite parts; we spent many evenings up there with a bottle of wine! It was also so nice to spend mornings on the back patio of the Casita with a cup of coffee listening to the sheep and goats. :) The only drawback to being in such a peaceful and idyllic place is that once we got home from our day's excursions, we didn't want to head out anywhere else for the day, but we were quite content to stay in our quiet little vineyard wonderland for the night. :) Thank you Thai and Cynthia, it was a relaxing and gorgeous place to spend part of our CA honeymoon!

We had an amazing time at this property. The home is beautiful with comfortable and clean furniture. The kitchen is well appointed with anything you could need. The bed is comfortable, I slept so well each night. They have a grill, heater and table outside for the perfect dinner over looking the vineyard, with an additional screened in porch if you need an escape from bugs. There is plenty of cute wildlife to watch including rabbits and hummingbirds. It is also a working farm with sheep that make the funniest noises, herding dogs and the sweetest goats. The property owner is very kind and quick to respond to any questions. I could not recommend this property enough! It was the perfect end to our California road trip!

This is our second stay at this property. It is off the grid and we love it!! The owners are wonderful and communicate very well. Once you get to the house, there is so much information about the area such as restaurants and recommendations on activities. The drive is well worth it and really pretty easy to get to.
We hope to return soon!

Beautiful setting in the vineyards. Great walks. Wonderful views of sheep, goats and working dogs on distant hills. Owners were very accomodating, including providing a new blender at our request. One minor issue was the wood fireplace was non-operational due to fire threats in the area. Overall a very worthwhile trip.

Wonderful hosts, very friendly and helpful. Relaxing, secluded. Sat and watched the birds. Close to Calistoga and Santa Rosa but when we went out we just wanted to get back to Steelhead Creek. See you next time.

“I love it here.” The phrase my husband and I uttered multiple times a day during our stay.
The property is positively stunning. From the sky full of stars at night to the sunrise over the vineyard in the morning we didn’t want to leave. Thai and Cynthia are great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our complimentary bottle of wine we found on the counter when we arrived. They were attentive and quick to respond when we needed something. Did I mention we loved it here?
We had plans of several meals out so we could enjoy the many awesome foods California has to offer. Instead we found ourselves stopping at the local grocery store more than once so we could spend more time on property.
We will definitely be coming back. Be sure to read all the info and suggestions Thai and Cynthia share in app and in the binder at the casita. There are many great recommendations offered to make your stay even better.

Absolutely loved our stay!. A wonderful place to get away and relax. Enjoyed spending time on the patio taking in the sounds of nature in the morning and evening. The kitchen was stocked with just enough for what we needed for cooking some meals. If you like to play cards, board games, or build jigsaw puzzles, you will need to bring those with you. A secluded, peaceful and tranquil place to get away and unwind.

This has to be the most perfect VRBO we have ever visited! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine made with the grapes grown right outside the patio and a fully stocked kitchen. We roamed the property, met the sheep, goats, chickens and dogs and spoke with the owners while they worked the farm. Sitting in the middle of truly nowhere and looking over the hills and the vineyards made this such a peaceful and beautiful vacation. Bonus - almost equal distances to Healdsburg, Sonoma and Napa make visiting the wineries a breeze.

The property was so nice and quiet. We stayed in the casita and the size and layout was just awesome. Perfect for a couple and our two pups. Clean, great layout, open with views on all sides. The bed was extremely comfortable! We loved to outdoor space with Mountain View’s and literally steps from the vineyards.

Recently stayed for 5 nights. Property is located on a secluded, one lane driveway about a mile and a half from the main road. If you’re looking for privacy, this is your place. Located on a small vineyard and working farm. Plenty of goats and sheep to keep you entertained. The casita’s amenities were very nice and comfortable. Although the bathroom is a little cramped. Views from the back patio are wonderful.

The Casita is everything we wanted! It is surrounded by vineyards and open space. It’s a beautiful haven to relax. The kitchen is well appointed. Everything was perfect! And Thai and Cynthia are excellent hosts!

My wife and I had a delightful stay at the casita nestled in a vineyard. Surrounded by tranquility and serenity, the location offered a perfect escape. The house was immaculate and equipped with everything one could need, from a fully stocked kitchen to a comfortable bed and pillows. The bonus grill was a great addition.
However, if it's your first visit, I highly recommend arriving during daylight hours as the drive up can be challenging, with a one-way windy road perched on a cliff.
Overall, a fantastic experience, especially for wine enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful retreat.

Beautiful setting of vineyard with surround sound of birds. So relaxing, not sure why we ventured out
Our host was very accommodating with an AC issue that he fixed right away. The Casitas has very comfortable seating and bedding.
The goats, sheep and dogs made it so enjoyable watching herding in mornings.
Having a grill made for a delicious evening meal.
Kitchen is well stock with utensils and seasonings.
Walking the area was perfect for exercise and exploring.
Thank you Thai and Cynthia for 2 wonderful days! H

This was the best experience we've had with Vrbo - the guest house, property, host and amenities were absolutely perfect! The location was beautiful and extremely private, but we were easily able to venture out daily and enjoy the surrounding areas.
The host went above and beyond from complimentary wine and fresh eggs (twice!), to giving a detailed listing of suggested restaurants, day trips and information about the nearby towns. The photos and description truly don't do the beauty of this place justice. We were blown away and had a wonderful stay. :)

In celebration of my husband's 65th birthday, it was perfect. Relaxing, beautiful, peaceful, and breathtaking!
Thank you for opening up your home and sharing. The fresh farm eggs were yummy and greatly appreciated. The wine will be enjoyed with our friends.

The Casita was great, well equipped and the grounds were beautiful! Not a far drive from a grocery store, Calistoga , St. Helena and Napa. I would definitely stay here again. The wine provided by the owners was delicious.

Thai was a great host. Home and property very nice. My wife, I and our two dogs thouroughly enjoyed our stay there. Thai even brought us a dozen farm fresh eggs, a first from a host!
Take note of narrow one lane road. It was interesting navigating the first few times. Other drivers on road very conscientious so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Would stay there again.

We were welcomed with a house cab wine. We were also given an instructions booklet and remotes for the gates (3 of them!) which was extremely helpful in the rain. My husband and I stayed at the property for his 42nd birthday. We thought it was in a great location, close to the wine train and other stops we had planned. I give this property 5 stars. Here are some things you probably want to consider:
The white-knuckling drive up the mountain to the property. It’s a one lane (maybe a little less in some parts) rode densely populated with trees, wildlife and rocks. It’s about a mile and half drive like that. But before that, it’s a windy rode as well, a private rode, you must be super careful! Cars come around the corner fast and scary. If you’re driving at night, good luck! So dangerous, I was super scared. But once your at the property you can relax and enjoy in it’s beautiful views. I would stay here again if I planned to be at the property the whole time as it’s so peaceful and you can walk the vineyards and relax. But if you are planning on doing activities like wine tasting, shopping, etc. this is not an easy place to go and come. It’s like once you’re here you’re here. I loved all the large windows it was such a pretty scene. The owners have done a great job thinking of all the amenities to stock their property: umbrella, walking stick, first aid kit, picnic basket, wine opener, some toiletries, etc. The only TV is in the living room area and it’s a bit small but enjoy the views rather than watch tv. They get their water from a well, you can drink right from the tap and it’s delicious! The bathroom is a bit small, wish they had a full length mirror but the comfy bed made up for that. You won’t be disappointed staying here; the only draw-back is the drive to get here. :/

This was the best VRBO ever. We wanted the wine country experience, and whats better that staying at a vineyard? They gave us some of their wine. we were right next to the vines, and we were provided fresh eggs and homemade zucchini bread!
If I ever return to wine country, I am definitely staying here again.
If anyone is wondering, the AT&T cell service is very good, and they offer fast WIFI.

Great place to relax and getaway, while still close to wineries and fine dining. Thai had a very nice bottle of Steelhead Winery waiting for us at the Casita which was excellent. Casita was immaculate and supplies were perfect.

The Casita was very comfortable and felt like home. The views of the vineyard and surrounding property were stunning. We woke to the sunrise over the vines and watched the sunsets from the patio, with a glass of wine of course. Thai was a gracious host. We will definitely return. If you are looking for quiet seclusion off the beaten path, this is the place.

The Steelhead Creek property is just beautiful! We had some really busy days planned, so we were mostly just there in the morning and evenings, which may have been our only regret, as we didn't really have time to explore more of the property.
The Casita is nestled in among grapevines and the views in every direction were just spectacular, and we were both struck at how quiet the property is. The drive to and from the property is a little tricky (but totally worth it) so be sure to arrive the first time while the sun is out. Thai was super friendly and left us a bottle of wine, which we promptly ordered more of to bring home as soon as we opened it. We had everything we needed, and even the water pressure was really good. Thai took care of the one small request that we did have right away. The location was a perfect home base to explore what both Sonoma and Napa have to offer. My girlfriend and I both agreed that we'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

What a wonderful stay we had at this beautiful Estate Vineyard! Thai was a great host and went above and beyond in making our stay perfect! The scenery is exactly as pictured! Wow!!! We had everything available for grilling and enjoying the evenings with our wine! The travel distance to Calistoga and Sonoma was only 30 minutes which made this a perfect base to see the entire Napa Valley area! We highly recommend this awesome casita! Thanks Thai for a wonderful place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this exceptional VRBO. It is the type of place we were hoping to find. Located in the country, approximately 10-15 minutes from town, there are numerous restaurants, a specialty grocery, and a Safeway located nearby.
Every morning we had breakfast on the beautiful patio overlooking the vineyard and then we headed out to explore Sonoma and Napa counties. The location worked very well for us.
Every night we drank wine and made dinner and couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable, fun place to be. We enjoyed watching the chickens, goats, llama, horse and birds. We also saw deer and turkey. The owners were great. They were very responsive, helpful and a pleasure to visit with.
We hope to return sometime soon and highly recommend this VRBO

Wonderful!
We had an amazing stay at the casita. Thai and Cynthia are wonderful hosts and the location is truly breathtaking. If you’re looking for peace, quiet and beautiful natural surroundings then this is the place to be.
The casita was a true home away from home: well stocked with spices and kitchen wares, an outside grill and plenty of home comforts. We will be back!
