About this villa rental
The house and gardens are in excellent condition throughout and were completely refurbished. Villa Mes Nuits Blanches was constructed in the local style about 40 years ago for a local baker and his family (hence the name). Approximately 5 minutes drive from the centre of the town {Vence} in a semi rural area with lovely panoramic views of the old town and surrounding hills and mountains beyond. The house had been built with a separate apartment on the ground floor which now has been integrated into the villa by internal and external staircases and makes it very suitable for two families sharing {same let} as there are two fully fitted kitchens, one up and one down. The pool is situated in a lovely position with electric covers for safety.

Before we ordered the house, we had a nice correspondence with the owners. The house was large and spacious with nice facilities. The garden and the pool lived up to our expectations. All in all good

Great location. Property was even better than we expected.

Stunning villa, Perfect location!!
When we first arrived at the villa we were amazed at the size, and gorgeous exterior. Upon opening and entering we were blown away by the high quality decor and the detailing in every room. The living room being my favourite room of the house, down to the cleanliness and size. Being a family of 8 it was nice to have some seperate space with the upstairs and downstairs both having kitchen and living areas. The pool and garden areas were just stunning the pictures speak for themselves, even though the pool was a salt water pool it is nothing like the sea, you can barely taste the salt and the temperature of the pool is perfect!! Especially when it is so hot outside.
The location of the villa was great, within 20-30 minutes drive of big towns nice, cannes etc and then 10 mins to the train station to visit the likes of monaco and towns further afield. Even closer you have the smaller less touristy but typical french towns Vence, St Paul De Vence, Tourettes etc - all definitely worth a visit as they are gorgeous. The villa is perfectly located for days out, we took part in canyoning with les geckos at 'Gorges de loup' 30 minutes from the villa, and also took part in lake sports at 'lac de st cassien' an hour away.
All in all, this villa is perfect for whether you want to lay around the pool all day, or explore the gorgeous french riviera, i definitely hope to return one day! Thankyou!

A beautiful property enjoying idyllic location
A superb villa perfectly placed to explore the incomprable cote d'azure. Set in lovely gardens with pool to relax after a busy day visiting St Tropez or Monaco, the spacious accommodation is fully equipped to satisfy your every need, including sky TV if you need a sport fix! Looking forward to our next visit already and would highly recommend it.

Best villa ever!
The owner provided very detailed instructions in advance of my visit and I was absolutely bowled over on arrival as to how beautiful and immaculate this villa is, inside and out. It is only about 30 minutes by car from Nice airport and Vence itself is only about a 5 minutes drive away. I especially loved the views from the gardens and pool area which overlook the beautiful medieval town of Vence. I would definitely recommend this villa to absolutely everyone!

SUPERB VILLA AND LOCATION,!!
Lovely holiday with family and friends, plenty of room in large villa with large gardens and pool. Lots of visits to Vence town for family meals and days out to Nice and Monaco. Definitely will be returning. Owner very helpful with supplying directions from the airport and suggestions of places to visit.

Family holiday in an amazing setting
The clear instructions we were sent made arrival to the property very easy via sat nav. The property was entered via double gates, which were easily shut and safe for children, and ample parking for the three cars we utilised during the stay. The property was clean, and spacious with ideal space for the 8 people in our party. All bedrooms had fans and the main bedroom has a great air conditioning unit, ideal on the hot nights. All the facilities as described in the information given was of a very high standard and we wanted for nothing.
The property was very clean and the linen in the bedrooms was changed after a week which was great, and the gardener popped in to ensure the pool was clean and filters cleaned. Overnight watering of the front garden keeps the grass and plants looking great and fresh even during the hot season. There is also a cleaner for the pool which we used once a day for the floor to get rid of dust or insects.
A washing machine and washing line means we came home with clean clothes and no twenty washes on our return, amazing.
All information provided by the owners prior to our arrival was on time and very detailed and the follow up emails very impressive. Thank you it made my stay so easy.
Due to the location it is so easy to get around, via car or train, or if you ride a bicycle, take it, the roads are amazing and you are right into the base of the alps within 30 mins.
Vence, St Paul de Vence, Tourettes, Mougins, Cannes, Monaco, St Tropez were all visited easily on day trips and we finished in Nice before flying home. Vence is the nearest town and has so many restaurants, shops, markets, you may never need to cook if you so dont want to. Supermarket Le Clerc is also within 10 minutes drive.
If you want a holiday in the Cote D-Azure then stay here, and have the stay of a lifetime.
There is so much to do, Canyoning, Inflatables on a lake, pedaloes, Art Museums, etc etc, and so many restaurants close by with amazing wine. Then at the end of your day you can sit on the balcony or in the lounge and chill while looking over the valley towards St Paul de Vence. There is nothing to dislike - just book it.

Immaculate and superbly situated!
We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday with our two older children and their respective partners, and our two teenagers (who we repeatedly tried to lose/sell but to no avail). The teens loved the wifi and the pool, the older 'lovebirds' appreciated the separate 'apartment' layout, and I appreciated the artistic inspiration!
The area is steeped in art history and you can't visit a gallery in any of the nearby towns without being wowed by signed Chagall's, Picasso's, Monet (Antibes), Paul Signac (St Tropez), Pierre Bonard, Henri Matisse's! Lots of originals and limited edition prints for the art collectors too!
Matisse spent 40 years in Nice from 1917, interrupted only by a 6 yr stay in Vence from 1943 to 1949 where he decorated the Chapelle du Rosier! Check it out if you can - it's very unusual and very close to the villa!
My only regret is that I couldn't fit my easel and paints into my suitcase (easyjet allowance = toiletry bag 'v' painting kit. Vanity won!) However, I managed to take a sketchbook and spent every day sketching during refreshment breaks whilst sight seeing, and family doodles round the pool! I will definitely look to come back with like minded arty folk to fully appreciate the culture and hope to knock out a few paintings to do it justice!
Tips:
Take mosi repellent and bite relief - they love a sneaky nibble on the veranda!
Hire a car! You will struggle to get around otherwise though there seemed to be lots of taxi firms advertised.
Food is expensive in the supermarkets! But there is plenty of choice. We ate out maybe 5 or 6 times, but the kitchen is brilliantly equipped for eating in!
Don't limit yourself to the towns - we went Canyoning* in the Alps (about a 45 minute drive away) and the scenery was breathtaking!
*Canyoning involves getting kitted out in a rubber suit and throwing yourself down waterfalls, and off high ledges into innocent looking pools of doom! As designated photographer for the day I fully recommend it!
Thank you for giving us the best holiday in a long time! We will treasure the memories forever and hope to be allowed back sometime soon!

Our best holiday ever. Great family home suited to two families sharing. With two kitchens and two lounges we were able to take three generations on the same holiday. Great restaurants and the position is perfect for exploring the whole of the cote d'azur

A piece of paradise
This luxury villa is in an idyllic location with everything you could need and more! The villa and the grounds it is situated within is very well maintained. The owner provided a local map along with instructions of how to get from the airport (which were very useful- Thank you) and any key information we would require. We enjoyed visiting St Paul de Vence for a walk around the cobbled streets and of course Vence town for some French cuisine. I would also like to recommend the local bakery just a short drive from the villa for your croissant fix. I would 100% recommend this villa to anyone who was thinking about staying here I am sure you will love it as much as I do! Thank you

An excellent family holiday
my family (6 adults and 5 boys aged between 17 and 8) enjoyed 2 amazing weeks at the villa. The facilities fully lived up to the description and the excellent weather made the pool the central attraction. We managed trips out to nearby beaches and into Nice for the Sunday market. The town of Vence was visited daily to buy breakfast, browse in the market stalls and to celebrate two of the boy's birthdays at the restaurant in the square. We all wished it was within walking distance.

Fantastic villa
The property has a real ’French style’ feel about it. The Pool was a godsend at the end of a hot day, house was equipped with everything you
would need it's also in a quiet setting, not overlooked and has a fantastic view of the mountains.
Ideal location for site seeing from the glamorous sites of Monaco to the rustic town of St Paul De Vence.
Would recommend to anyone.

Fabulous
We've just returned from a wonderful family holiday at Villa Mes Nuits Blanches, Vence, South of France. This property was ideal for us, my wife and I with boisterous brats on the upper level, with my parents in the apartment where they could get some peace and quiet!
The Villa is immaculate throughout, spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for everyone to rattle around. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with spectacular views and large pool.
We fell in love with Vence itself, an ancient hilltop Town with lovely square/boules pitches, lots of great shops and child friendly resturants. As you would expect in France, the quisine was always first class and the kids were safe to run around looking at the Roman artefacts and chasing pidgeons! Access to the Riviera and all it's tourist hotspots is very easy, it's only a twenty minute drive from Nice and less than an hour on the A8 to St Tropez.
So, all in all, I can thouroughly recommend this property, very adaptable accommodation and a great location.

Wonderful Villa for families of all ages.
We had a wonderful time we had at this villa. All the rooms were very comfortable and nicely fitted out. There was plenty of entertainment for the youngsters who spent the hot hours in front of the magnificant TV. All the appliances including hot water and washing machines worked well. As chief executive of laundry my wife was particularly delighted with the extra large washing machine it made light work of large family loads. There were plenty of fridges and of course a nice corner by the pool where we could relax at beer o’clock, a wonderful BBQ. I haven’t even mentioned the wonderful view and fabulous pool. As our son in law summed it all up by saying “I could live here very happily.”
For gourmet food we recommend you try Les Bacchanales near to the Matisse chapel. The village has plenty of good quality restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes. The pizzas at "Clemenceau" were great.
We won’t have to search anymore for our next family holiday in the south of France.

Vence 2010
We had a wonderful week , the villa is spacious and beautifully appointed . It is excellent for two families there is plenty of space especially the two sitting rooms allow privacy and quiet if needed !!The pool is first class huge and we enjoyed endless diving competitions and some hilarious games of pool volleyball. Our only downside was the lack of aircon it really can be very hot at night but otherwise perfect . Brown family

Our best ever holiday
Absolutely beautiful property. Highly recommended. Very clean, spacious and airy. Pool was a great for the children. Location of the villa is ideal - near to the town but far enough out to be totally tranquil. Close to Nice, Cannes, Antibes & Monaco and yet set in a rural peaceful setting. Cant wait to get back next year. We have already booked for 2011 and can't wait to get back. Thanks to Phil and Claire for everything and ensuring our stay was perfect. The gardener Fabien was very helpful, as were Josette and Sophie.
Recommended for: Girls Getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, Families with young Children, two families sharing as two lounges, two kitchens and two Sky boxes.

Excellent holiday
One of the most perfect places I have stayed. The villa is fantastic with lots of room and furnished beautifully with your own pool to laze in. The setting itself is picture perfect, and with Monaco, Nice and the Cote D’Azur in easy reach this truly is a holiday for all the family.
I would highly recommend this property and have already booked for next year!

A Great experience
This was one of the best family holidays we have ever had. The property was fresh and clean and is situated in the most perfect setting. Expensive but worth every penny.
Excellent base for exploring the whole coast between St Tropez and Monoco and into Provence. We even went to Italy for lunch one day {border just an hours drive away}.
Kids in the pool every day. Totally private and peacfull, yet only a few minutes from the centre of Vence or the boulangerie
We have already re-booked our next holiday at Villa Mes Nuits Blanches for the same week in 2008. We can wait to get back
