Serene and chill place to stay. Recommending this to other solo travellers. Loved that it's close to nature and trees. The view was breathtaking. Thanks to Kuya Ado and Ate Vicky for all the help. Super accommodating. They helped me arrange my tour around the island with Kuya Wilmer.
Hope I could go back next time with my family and friends. I am missing Isla the dog too!
All perfect except for the insects, especially at night. Good thing I always have my insect repellent with me.
You can also hear the people from the next room but the caretakers helped me out đ

Peace, sounds of jungle, situation, coolness compared to the coast, dark and quiet at night, the little resto a few hundred meters from the facility. The wooden floors, large windows. A Retreat from the modern world craziness.
A place where the heart and mind is allowed to be at peace.
Not much! perhaps hearing the next door room's conversations which were not really intrusive.......

Quite Haven. I love everything about this place. I like the house concept and greenery everywhere. Itâs what I needed. I like the fact that is very much as organic as it can get. if youâre looking for a quality time to connect with yourself. This place is an ideal location for it. and best of all the staffs are very friendly and accommodating particularly Vicky and her husband they are both very welcoming and kind and animal lover people. and lastly the pets are so cute and so friendly too. I miss them already â Gwapaâ and âDalagaâ As a solo traveller it was very nice experience. Thank you! both for a wonderful few days.
Quite tropical Haven..

Magical, calm, and romance are the words that comes to my mind after this experience.
The drive to the accommodation is stunning - The mountain and sea views are breathtaking, absolutely beautiful!
The house is in the middle of nature. A cafe and a local store are nearby.
Spent so much time there, sitting, eating, laughing and soaking in the fresh mountain air. Will definitely be back.
On sunny days you can go to White Island, explore Camiguin and its soda swimming pools, hot springs, go hiking with the funniest guide Barry!
On rainy days, you will enjoy the spectacular views from the balcony and interact with the great other travellers :)
Vicky and Ado were just the top of everything, so kind, funny, easygoing, caring and always helpful....just like we were part of the family :) ... And not to forget the house dogs and Guapa the house cat, which is great to have around.
Looking forward to see Vicky and Ado again.

Beautiful, spacious property with stunning features. Rooms were a great size for two people and the surrounding nature incredible!
The floor in the bathroom - and part of the room - was always wet and would never dry. It would have been good to have a mop available and more hanging space in the room.

This is the first time we're going out of town after pandemic and booking in this place was really worth it. Staying at this property is one of the best decision we ever made. Our overall stay was really one of a kind since it's quite rare to find a place that's really animal friendly and I must say one of the highlights of staying here would be our interaction with the resident pets - Guapa (Cat) & Isla (Dog) with their other furry friends. Splendid is an understatement describing our stay and this place. We will definitely choose Volcano Houses if we'll have vacation again in Camiguin.
The caretakers Manong Ado and Manang Vicky were so so nice to us as well. đ¤

The houses and rooms are beautiful, the location is awesome, the staff is friendly. Espically liked the sunlit open feel of the spaces in combination with the study hardwood and design used for the build - beautiful place!

The architecture and design of the building is highly appealing. The location is wonderful.
I will highly recommend this to my friends and family. Plus the house dog is so adorable and friendly, I wish I could take her home with me.
The kettle and microwave did not work.
The shower head was not working.
The road really needs to be built, and this site does not have disabled access.

The house is very beautiful! suits my taste and it is a very fresh and unique design. The scenery is nice and the air is clear and obviously not polluted because of the many trees surrounding the house

Amazing and it was one of a kind experience. The house is amazingly designed and constructed with hard wood mahogany and acacia.
The place is so cozy you can relax at any corner of the house. The library has a big hammock where you can lie down and read. The living room is another gem with a unique chandelier and sprawling area with large screen on the wall where you watch your favorite movie on Netflix.
Kitchen is equipped and the workers are very friendly and accommodating. All in all the place is very unique and worth the Instagramming.
I wish I could stay more.
My very short stay.

we didnât make it to the property because no driver would take us. apparently the route to the hotel is too hard and far. the hotel will send you an email to pre-organise your travel to the hotel but this is useless information if you are booking the day of. you cannot get onto the island without a hotel booking so our booking was last minute. I believe it is detrimental that you organise your transfer from the airport/ferry to the hotel prior to arriving or you will need to book elsewhere later on like we did. extremely disappointed and unhappy

Very friendly staff. The owner's sister was also there to check up on us. There were really friendly pets when the staff/owner's sister was there. We heard singing birds in the early morning as well. We had the whole house to ourselves since there were no others who booked that night. No AC, but you don't really need it since it's high up and made of strong wood so the place is cool and it's even foggy early in the morning. Really pleasant stay and would recommend to family, relatives and friends.

just the view
I rang ine of the caretaker named Dodong and informed him that we are going to arrive late due to some delays. He reassured someone will be waiting for us at the place but ended up with no one around. We looked and search around the place and tried to contact Dodong but after many attempts, his phone was already unattended. We asked for the neighboring village and pointed us to another caretaker named Vicky. This whole catastrophe happened for an hour without any idea if we arr going to be catered or not! I was with my family and everybody was so stressed about the incident. To the owner, I don't think you know what has been going on to your property. Everything was a mess. The price was not worth it at all!

Amazing location, really peaceful. Staff are really friendly.
I visited this place back in 2019 as I loved it so much. However it is definitely in need of some modernisation.
1. I think you should build a road. Itâs a nightmare trying to navigate a scooter down the dirt track to the house.
2. Beds are ridiculously uncomfortable. They are literally a piece of plywood with 3 inches of foam on top. You have built an amazing house so why have such crappy beds? Could also do with some more fans so each room has at least one.
3. Shower are really poor. Either too weak or not hot at all. Bathrooms could really do with extractor fans & more regular cleaning. Toilet cistern did not work, we had to manually fill each time we wanted to flush.
4. Everything is a bit dated generally. Curtains, mattresses, towels and filthy. Doors and cupboards are sticking when opening them.
5. Kitchen is under equipped. No sharp knives. Some of the sockets donât work. Could do with some essentials like paper towels, salt, sugar, tea, coffee. You should get a dryer so the towels and sheets can be dried properly - with a humidity they are a little damp and stinky.
6. They were replacing the roof whilst we were in the room. Came back 3 days in a row to debris all over the bed and floor - not ideal.
7. WiFi only works for about an hour in the morning. Not sure if the sim is just not topped up enough?
8. The staff are super friendly and helpful but sometimes the house was occupied with kids which kind of ruined the vibe.
Hopefully you take this on board and make the place great

love how remote the location of the houses are and the buildings themselves are beautiful, all made from wood. The scenery is amazing and the noises from animals and insects at night is incredible. Nice to be back in nature.
When I checked into my room the folding/sliding patio doors that lead from my bedroom outside were open, I tried to close them but with difficulty and ended up getting two guys who struggled themselves but eventually managed. When I returned from dinner that first evening I was in for a shock, I found the doors wide open with a dog in the room and the mosquito net had fallen onto the bed. I thought I was robbed, luckily I hadnât but I was very scared. Being the middle of the night it took a good 20-25 mins to close the patio doors myself as there is no one around to help at that time. When I managed to close the doors I tried to secure the doors and I realised that only one bolt on the three separate doors had a working lock, so it was not secure at all. I didnât not sleep well that night.
I also found large holes in the mosquito net and found myself sleeping with quite a few bugs in the morning. Holes in mosquito nets defeats the point on one.
When I checked in the bathroom floor was also slightly flooded and there was a constant noise from the waterworks of the toilet.
I had complained in the morning but the staffs level of English wasnât too great. I asked to speak to the manager and was told âheâs comingâ. Waited 1.5hrs, he never arrived and wasted my morning. The staff didnât take me seriously at all and at times were laughing. One even said âI think the dog has learnt to open the doorsâ whilst laughing.
I was reluctant to stay for a further night but was given a new room for my second night. That night I asked to speak to the manager again in the morning and the staff said ok. When I asked in the morning if the manager will be here I was told âmaybeâ.
There was no running water the following morning in the new room either, so the toilet didnât flush and no shower available, the first night there was not hot water available either. couldnât even brush my teet that morning.

The view is nice and breathtaking.
The room is not clean enough. So many bugs and no electric fan. We asked for one, we are told we will be provided but nothing came.
I paid for breakfast for 3. But we did not have breakfast for both days. The staff are inconsistent in their answers.
One room that we rented had a clogged comfort room. Very disgusting.
