Perfectly placed in gorgeous West Yorkshire for both city and countryside amenities. Please check F B page for more reviews and offers :) Woodsome Lodge is luxuriously fitted out for a fabulous stay.
Mum or dad got a birthday?... having a catch up with friends?... a girlie pamper weekend?... For only £95pp payable after booking we can offer: Afternoon tea is plentiful and tasty, we can have it delivered with use of a gorgeous crockery set also. Treatments include massage, facials, reiki, reflexology and are just wonderful. A 3 course privately cheffed meal can be arranged at the lodge and is such a treat! (Chef is subject to availability). Add on a cocktail class and meal at Harvey’s bar 7 mins walk away and you have an amazing weekend! :) Please note: we do welcome much quieter, relaxed hen pamper style stays but cannot allow any loud hen party type stays - purely chilled out girlie/friends and family stays only - this is really important to avoid issues during stay. No stag groups sorry. Please bare this in mind when booking. Sleeping max 16 people in comfy beds with luxury bedding, this 5 bed house is spacious and private, with complimentary use of its own fantastic hot tub perfectly accessible from the house and sitting in a huge private garden backing onto Jumble Wood. Within walkable distance the Lodge has a gorgeous family pub serving meals late and a 5* rated cocktail bar/bar kitchen - perfect for groups wanting a night out with no taxis!
It’s a mere 25 mins to Leeds for shopping, 5 mins to gorgeous Kirkburton village with its cafes, boutique shops and restaurants and a short drive to beautiful Holmfirth. There are lots of activities available to enhance your stay!! Fantastic countryside in which to bike, walk, fish, golf... group bookings welcome for all these activities all available within a short drive or literally on the doorstep!
There is secure parking for up to 10 cars on a huge drive and the massive garden is great for children. Well behaved pets are very welcome as long as house rules referring to pets are adhered to. There is a utility room attached to the house for muddy paws and boots etc... We look forward to welcoming you and your group in the future!
Please note that because the Lodge is in an excellent location with all you need on the doorstep it is a residential location and has a few responsibilities: noise has to be kept at normal residential levels at all times to be courteous to our lovely neighbours - this is not the place for a rowdy party or noise - think along the lines of a chilled out vibe! No music is allowed outside at any time, although music indoors at reasonable levels is fine inside :) It is requested that socialising be taken inside at 10pm to be courteous to neighbours; this curfew is important to note before booking. The hot tub is reopened again early in the morning. The hot tub is complimentary to the accommodation and free to use :) This is non-smoking property. Midweek stays are minimum 4 nights in school holidays. We respectfully ask that outdoor socialising be taken inside at 10pm. CCTV monitors outside areas for security.

Lovely, relaxing time… loads of nice walking places near by and a splash land half hour drive away the kids loved…. The scullery was one of the nicest places I’ve eaten (15min drive away) …. Sara (the host) made us feel very welcome… the house itself was lovely, would definitely stay there again. Thank you

The property, amenities and the attention to detail were all excellent. Really good communication from the host both before and during the stay which. Made to feel welcome and perfect for a wholesome hen do weekend! Really great location for Harvey’s and Holmfirth Vineyard. Gorgeous views of the countryside from the property too!

The house was clean and bright with plenty of space and in a good position to visit places round about. With the children's games room, large garden and hot tub all ages were well entertained. The host was brilliant!

Just home from a 3 day stay at Woodsome Lodge. We had a great time celebrating the new year in! The house is lovely & comfortable & was perfect for the 12 of us. It is easy to find & the owner is very helpful if you have any queries. Would definitely book again!

We booked this property for a surprise 50th birthday celebration for a party four families consisting of 8 adults and 6 children. There was so much space for everyone and the children particularly loved the big bedroom, which they all shared.
The area is lovely and we found a public footpath at the top of the cul-de-sac where we could safely take the children on an adventurous walk. The hot tub was great and the garden is nice and secure for children and pets.
Harvey’s restaurant down the road is a must. We used it for both a takeaway and evening meal. The food and atmosphere was amazing there.
The host, Sara is great and responds to messages very quickly. The house is very clean and has everything you need.
We would highly recommend this property for family and groups of friends. We loved it and we would definitely return.

Me and my family stayed at the Woodsome lodge and the experience was just amazing. Location was perfect, the lodge was spotless clean and the beds were very comfortable. Sara was easily accessible and responded promptly whenever I needed. She was very accommodating and welcoming and left us a welcome cake and choc ices upon arrival. Will definitely be coming back to stay for any future events

We had a fantastic stay at Woodsome Lodge for 4 nights over the New Year period. Sara couldn’t have been more helpful and the lovely touches when we arrived only added to this. The house itself was spotless and the lay-out for a group of 6 adults, 5 children and 1 dog was perfect. We used the hot tub every day and so the washing machine and tumble dryer provided was great for all the towels we got through!
The location couldn’t be better with a short stroll to the local pub or to the scrummy Harvey’s restaurant. We also ventured to castle hill, the National coal mining museum (very interesting 140m deep underground tour for only £5 pp) and into town for an escape room…..all journeys taking less than 15 mins by car.
A perfect New Year break for all the family.

Sara has been amazing to communicate with throughout the whole booking process right up to us leaving. Responses to anything were always speedy. The house itself is absolutely stunning and spacious so everyone is comfortable. If they don’t fancy socialising they can slip away into one of the many bedrooms and not be bothered. Everything was spotless on arrival! The hot tub was the perfect place to relax and have a couple of drinks when we arrived. Sara can help recommend catering if you’re in need of anything during your stay. Honestly couldn’t have wished for a better host to put us at ease. Some of us went to Freeklime (boulder climbing) on the Saturday morning and Harvey’s for a meal on the Saturday night before we left. The location was perfect and the little touches on arrival were very much appreciated 🥰 we had the most perfect weekend and it’s ideal for relaxing hen do’s if like us not everyone drinks. Also, can’t remember his name but if you get a chance to talk to the lovely man who shuts the hot tub up at night please do. He had great stories to tell 😊 tips for future stays - take different towels for the hot tub as well as showering and take some flip flops to reduce mess from going in and out. Would love to have an excuse to visit again xxxx

We all had a fantastic time at your property. Everything you could possibly need was at hand. The welcoming cake, biscuits & wine was a lovely touch of class👌🏻. The kids of all ages😉enjoyed the hot tub and Steve who looked after it was a great laugh & full of local knowledge. There are lots of good places to eat within the local area and plenty of places to explore. I definitely would recommend to anyone

What a lovely place! The house is fabulous and very spacious. We were 3 families and had ample room for all. Very clean and everything there as essentials. The hot tub was a bonus, amazing and well looked after. Anything to improve? Absolutely nothing, a superb property in a wonderful area.

Beautiful house, beautiful location and a very relaxing atmosphere. Hosts were brilliant with staying in contact and provided details for us to have catered food in on the day of my partner's birthday. The house was very spacious and exceptionally clean. The hot tub just added to overall bliss of the place and we couldn't have stayed in a better location. We will definitely be visiting again, thanks so much for your hospitality Sara! Xx

Me and my hens stayed here for two nights and I couldn't fault it, so relaxed and in such a good location. The weather was beautiful so we managed to make the most of the hot tub and garden area as well as the short walk to Harvey's where we ate lunch on the Saturday as recommended by the host of the house. The house was clean and tidy and nicely decorated with plenty of room for everything we needed. Thank you for having us!

Myself and my family were celebrating my birthday as I was turning 21 and we wanted a little get away to enjoy the occasion.
Not that we had low expectations walking into the property but we never thought it would be as good as it was. The initial cleanliness of the cottage was immaculate and it felt not lived in. Every room had a all bed mads up and there was no dirt not dust anywhere. Spotless.
Sara provided everything required including cups, toilet roll, pots and pans, cutlery and even supplied a cake and some brownies to welcome us. It was small touches like this that just made the whole stay.
There was simple rules to follow such as noise level which although can be off putting really aren’t an issue. It’s not asking to be silent just to be respectful that you aren’t in a festival and to not use disrespectful language when they have neighbours. At 10PM Steve, one of the neighbours, comes to lock the hot tub and you are asked to make your way in which after a day of games and being in the tub .. we were more than ready to do so. He also chatted and offered some useful history on the cottage and walks available. He truly was amazing.
Games, DVD’s and wifi were all provided to ensure you were never left bored.
There were two pubs down the road about 7 minutes walking distance that we went to and again the staff there are so lovely and welcoming, we had such a laugh. Shops such as aldi and Morrison’s were just past the pub so it’s very local to shops.
Finally I want to say how organised and proper Sara has been. She replies instantly with any questions and sends you every detail required to enjoy your stay and be fully aware of what you are entering into.
I can’t stress enough how amazing the stay has been and we are already planning our next stay. I couldn’t recommend the property enough :)

Had a great weekend in Sara’s home. With 2 teenagers, a baby & 8 adults we had room for everyone and more. Hot tub was thouroughly enjoyed! Anyone booking just to note that there is a property manager who comes at 10pm to close the hot tub & usher you inside (we had missed this in the booking info).

The location was great, in a quiet area but close enough to Leeds for a night out.
The decor was fantastic, and all the facilities up to scratch.
Lovely rooms and bathrooms, and of course we made full use of the hot tub!
