About this cottage rental
The lovely town of Burford occupies a position on the meandering River Windrush. Burford is built on a fairly steep hill, and the view from the top of the hill looking down the High Street to the river is one of the classic panoramas of the Cotswolds. A lovely 4-arched medieval bridge, widened in the 18th century, crosses the Windrush, and though Burford itself does not occupy the northern bank, a walk across the bridge is rewarded by wonderful views across watermeadows to the spire of St. John the Baptist parish church.
152 The Hill has been completed renovated and now offers 5 individual holiday homes, The Lodge is one of them, all five properties can be all be rented if you would like, family Christmas, special occasions, the whole property will sleep up to 23, but you will all have your individual space, please see, 8379755, 6977567, 8379757, 8379754, and please contact us for details.
The Lodge is a two bedroom cottage, with one bathroom with a bath shower, it can sleep up to 4 people, the bedrooms have there own style, the first bedroom has a king size bed, with a window looking out over Burford High Street and over the roofs to the church and the valley. The second bedroom has two single beds. Large open plan living, kitchen, dining area and a sitting room with TV
A communal garden can be found at the back of the property, it is lawned and is available to all guests that are staying at 152 The Hill. When you step outside the property, you are metres away from a newsagent, a butcher, a deli, a chemist, restaurants, pubs, a little further down is the Co-op shop. It is a brilliant place to stay as a base to explore the Cotswolds, with many places to visit.

Beautiful apartment in the centre of Burford.
Kitchen was overall well equipped apart from cleaning spray and no instructions for using appliances. The log burner was great but no matches provided but owners did pop by and apologized for lack of wood etc ..
Apartment was generally really clean apart from a slightly rusty bath bar and slight mould forming on rubber bath mat.
The welcome gifts of homemade bread and cakes and a bottle of champagne AND essentials like milk, butter tea coffee and sugar were unexpected and a lovely surprise.
Parking outside was the only issue if you were unlucky enough to be unable to find a 24 hour space but we were lucky to find one otherwise it's a bit of a struggle to park unless you use the car park at the bottom of the hill.
Overall a great apartment with the added bonus of a peaceful garden behind the apartment which is shared with other residents.
Would definitely recommend it as a base to explore the beautiful Cotswolds.
Plenty of nice friendly pubs too, would recommend the Cotswold arms which has live bands on the weekends.

Really nice cost cottage right in the town but still quiet. Loved it

The property was delightful, very well appointed and in prime location. Everything you need is on the doorstep. Good restaurants and lovely independent shops. We enjoyed our stay: the only drawback is the traffic noise for those in the front bedroom.

Just a short review but my family of 4 had a perfect few nights in The Lodge, while in the area for a family wedding. Great communication from the hosts, a very good location and a perfectly appointed cottage gave everything we needed for an easy, restful stay. The welcome pack items were the gratefully received cherry on the cake. Thank you.

Great location and very cute cottage with nice touches of treats when you arrive. However the owner was not great with communication and few days before when I emailed for checkin instructions received email that it was already booked. We were at the airport flying to Europe from US called and left info and after numerous emails to owner with confirmation recd that we were booked. I’m sure it’s a busy time of season but that all could of been avoided with earlier responses to my emails.

This was a great place to stay to visit the Cotswolds. The apartment was really comfortable and had all you needed. We enjoyed our welcome basket of goodies-thanks ! Being on the Main Street was busy but everything was close. Our host’s instructions were very clear and we had a fabulous stay. We would highly recommend staying here.

A Gem In the Cotswolds
152 High Gate was truly a hidden gem in our travels across the UK. Our host provided a cozy, welcoming cottage that accommodated our family nicely. Burford is a lovely, welcoming community as well. A place we will surely return to.

Perfect family stay
We stayed here for a nearby wedding, and it was perfect- ironing board and iron easily to hand! Fizz, bread, butter and jam as well as homemade cupcakes were a lovely touch, thank you! Easy to unload and load the car and parking no problem. Shops, restaurants etc all in walking distance- just wish we’d had more time to explore.

Fantastic property in a great location. Stayed here for my 50th birthday and had a great time. The property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Parked in the free car park with no issues but it does get busy on weekends. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic!
We were a group of 4 friends staying for the weekend in Burford. The cottage is really comfortable and in a fantastic location on the high street. Only small things to note is that the street is quite noisy with cars and people going past all day so if you want peace and quiet then this probably isn’t for you. We didn’t mind at all, and had a lovely weekend. Would definitely stay here again.

Long weekend away
Fantastic stay at the Lodge. Everything was as described and lovely welcome pack on arrival. Nicely positioned in the village and close to all the sights and sounds but just far enough away to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful drink in the beautiful communal garden. Sally the owner was super responsive and extremely quick. A great vacation all-round.

Beautiful air bnb
Very easy contacting the host and getting access.
Incredible home made jam, bread and cakes for us and a bottle of bubbles- really so lovely- thank you.
It is on the main road through Burford so you do get a bit traffic in the height of holiday season but the ease of access to great cafes, pubs and walks far outweighs this.

Long weekend in Burford
We had a great long weekend staying at The Lodge, 152 The Hill.
It is a perfect spot for a family of four, right in the middle if town, a short walk from shops, pubs and restaurants.
The Lodge was very clean with good sized bedrooms and bathroom.
There was a nice welcome pack of cake, flapjacks, bread and sparkling wine on arrival.
We will definitely stay here again.
Many thanks.

Long weekend in the Cotswolds
The property is lovely, private, clean and the little touches like the bottle of fizz and home made cakes, were a fabulous surprise. Sitting in a great location on Burford high street, it's a few seconds walk to the lovely shops and pubs. The only issue we had was that given the current weather (which is amazing), the bedrooms were far too hot and sleeping was not really possible. I would suggest fans or some internal upstairs air con would really help, albeit accepting that this was very warm weather indeed. I did ask in advance about whether I should bring a fan and was told that the property was cool due to thick walls. I have to say this wasn't really the case and with a small dog we were not able to do what all the other properties did, which was leave their front doors wide open to create fresh air. We still had a lovely time but came home quite tired. :-)
