We had the pleasure of spending a week in this truly charming country house (bastide), wich was purchased by the owner‘s family in 1932. The heritage of colonial furniture is partly complemented by 70s designer furniture, which I liked. The old house offers plenty of space, high ceilings, breathtaking views of the sea and Canoubier Bay from both terraces, the living room, the master bedroom and master bathroom (BTW: Please do not expect refurbished luxurious bathrooms as they are rather simple.) The huge garden could easily acoomodate 2 more cottages. The only thing missing is the pool where there is a fenced concrete pool in the Garden which is unfinished. But doń´t worry the beach is not far :-)

The chateau was charming but from the pictures it was much more impressive. The master bathroom was did not have a toilet and the bidet was not functioning, and the second shower was very small with only a shower curtain enclosure. There were little to no amenities. We were charged for towels per person which was stated in contract but the towels given were old and worn. The host was gracious and attentive and we appreciated his effort, but we felt like the place was not exactly as advertised. We had to tell him we needed toilet paper and paper towels and trash bags and the television in the bedroom was not working initially. Overall the place was quiet , comfortable and in a beautiful area and the host made efforts to help us. We just think the linens should have been included and the amenities should have been better stocked for the price.

We just spent nearly three weeks at the house and loved it! It has an incredible view, perfect location close to town but far enough to be quiet, lovely decor and interesting range of books and the property is large and very relaxing. The owner was next door and happy to help as needed. I was with 4 teens and also had a couple of friends visit and everyone had ample room and the layout also provided nice privacy.

Gorgeous home with sea views and garden
My husband and I spent the month of September holidaying and working at La Sala. A gorgeous and characterful period property rivalled only by the lovely character of the host, Cyril! Sympathetically decorated with antique furnishings, colours and textures. A smart but comfortable sitting room bathed in light at the best time of the day. A handsome entry hall displaying a glorious book collection reflecting the soul of the property and it’s owner. The house is generously proportioned and well equipped for an extended stay. Lovely al fresco dining options on both the front and rear terraces not to mention the large garden. WiFi worked a dream. The property is private and verdant with views of the sea. Cyril was so responsive and friendly throughout our stay. A ten minute stroll to the Place des Lices allows full accessibility to the amenities of St Tropez whilst enjoying peaceful surroundings. The property is more magical in person than the photos can describe. If you are wanting a restful, charming home, full of character and near enough to town but far enough away to escape, look no further.

Lovely stylish house
We had a great time at the house, which is close enough to walk in and out of St Tropez, but far enough away to be peaceful and rural. Comfortable and well equipped, and Cyril was very helpful.
