Needs blackout curtains!

The room was ok
The room wasn't properly cleaned. There was a noise coming from the pipes that woje us up at 2am that kept us up all night .

It's located in a real sweet spot of Rochester and has a beautiful retro vibe will definitely come back
for the size of the room (a class room, refurbished) they could have had a larger table to eat at. Other than that, no complaints. Oh the heater is really loud. Would recommend they switch to mini splits.

It was nice love the bathroom
It was to cold !!!!!!!

I liked the idea of it all. The refurbished school, I looked at all the rooms online before I booked and am still intrigued to try another room in the future.
My room specifically had a HUGE hole in the ceiling (right above the TV and in front of the bed) and I found it to be extremely disconcerting. Also the toilet was literally adjacent to the bed? There was a tiny sheer curtain in between but it was very uncomfortable and awkward. It wasn’t mentioned in the listing. In fact, the listing description states a separate bathroom. The so called “bathroom” had no doors was a shower and tub right next to each other, while the toilet was not. As stated it was next to the window and the bed creating not an ounce of privacy anywhere in the room .
Neither of these things were pictured or clearly described in the description for the room and it genuinely would’ve changed my interest in booking that specific room. Both these things (especially the gross ceiling which I took a pic of) really took away from my trip and genuinely tanked the experience for me and my partner. He didn’t even want to stay. We also didn’t see a single staff member the entire time we were there.

It was GORGEOUS. From the lobby to my room, the layout and decor was amazing. SUCH a cool use of the space.
Despite requesting and receiving confirmation for a 1pm check-in in advance, my room was not ready until almost 2:30pm. Mysterious white stains on the couch. Bed was VERY soft (softer on one side than the other) and was tough on my back.

Lovely decor, a lot of character. Large room. One of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in.

I liked the bed and the faucet hardware
Did NOT expect a big hole in the ceiling that was never mentioned anywhere and my fiance was not too happy with that, not sure what they classify as a mini bar not what I expected, did not have breakfast at the time of our stay did not see the complimentary in room movie library. Internet price says from $189 we paid $300 something it was not really worth that price in my opinion

Very beautiful modern rooms
The loud door that slams and in room 215 needs instructions on how to run the shower you can't see the knobs

The Devore was great, and the staff was always super quick to help us with anything we needed
The room had a very strong and odd scent to it, very nauseating. It was a very pungent and chemically smell. However we went and got some air fresheners and that took care of it.

Great location, beautiful loft, and comfortable bed.
Bathroom was gorgeous, but would have been nice to know ahead of time that in this particular room the cut-outs in the upper wall areas of the bathroom are not glassed-it’s open to the loft. This is not a deterrent, just would be a nice-to-know.

It is beautiful and a really funky space. Large rooms, very comfortable. The decor is fantastic!
I do not think there is room service? And if you are traveling with small children then the loft space presents a danger since it is not enclosed and an older traveler might not be able to access the loft because it requires climbing up a real ladder

Wonderful location, unique building, quiet, and very nice lofts with everything you need. We loved it! Safe area to walk in, and good restaurants close by.

I loved that the place was unique and had character. It was an experience that my family and I talked much about when we first walked into the property. Definitely more interesting than staying at a chain hotel.
The floors were squeaky but that was also a good part of the experience since the room used to be a classroom.

Creative style, exciting re-creation of the space
Shower leaked onto the wood floor a bit; could have used a microwave

Great location near some really super restaurants. Off street parking is great. Nice to have a space larger than a standard hotel room to hang out in. Really funky vibe with old schoolhouse items.
Machine in unit when we arrived that said "do not use in an occupied space" - had to call to have it removed. Carpet in kitchen was soaking wet on one end and was making the wood floor underneath wet also. Had to call to have it removed also. The directions to put the blinds down were not on the "how to get into the space" info I was sent - it was with the receipt- very odd and hard to find.

The location, the stunning decor and the very helpful night manager Tom, who helped us to safely store a bike overnight.
The sheets and towels need to be updated, as full of holes. The bath/shower doesn’t have a shelf or hooks to hold products or towels.
4.1
Downtown location with a car park outside the door
Hassle of having to verify identity and credit card while travelling prior to arrival

Loved the grandeur of the space and building. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was equipped (but fairly minimally so). Free off-street parking a plus. Comfortable place to hang. Nice neighborhood.
The reservation process was annoying (having to send a photo of ID and credit card while on the road). The kitchen could be better equipped. There is no washing machine (although advertised on booking.com at the time of our reservation). The booking listing said "2 separate bedrooms" but really it's an entirely open space; fine for us but perhaps not what everyone is looking for. There is no elevator & a 2 story walk-up, which was ok for us, but this should be mentioned since it would be a hindrance for some.

Really cool setting, love the room! I wish I could have learned more about the history of the school.
The building smelled super smokey like somebody was smoking Marijuana in the room next door.

We love staying at the loft the location is wonderful the staff are great.
For some reason this one time are room wasn’t properly cleaned not sure if it was rushed but one of the staff brought up some clean sheets and spray to clean it up.
