Loved Casa Musa! Relaxing pool side was wonderful, great view. The location was perfect, close to Lucca & the train station, 1/2 hour to the beach. Good grocery store 5 minute drive. Adamo Winery/ olive oil 2 minutes away was great. Mimica was a very responsive contact and Jack and his wife were wonderful hosts. The place really grows on you. Would definitely return and recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Musa - private swimming pool a bonus for teenage kids. Welcome pack of wine and olive oil and pastries on the first day were a pleasant surprise and appreciated. We hope to visit Tuscany again one day !

We had been given great instructions from the owner and so found the property easily. The property was clean on our arrival and there was plenty of information on the local area which was really useful. The view from the house is beautiful and the area is very tranquil and apart from the odd dog barking it was extremely peaceful. Lucca is well worth the visit and not far at all through beautiful countryside. We are a tall family and so two of the three showers were a bit of a squeeze. The third bedroom is above and accessed through the kitchen with the shower room behind the kitchen. The shower is set into the stairs and so almost unusable for a 6 foot plus man. Aside from that, the house is exactly like the photos online. The outside table has tiny ants living in it so whenever you eat at it they come out in force. We just made sure we wiped the table before and after use. The only disappointment really was the pool area which is a bit shabby. The sun loungers we’re very comfortable but needed a good scrub clean and the umbrella is broken and held together with tape. The pool is not deep at all but was fine for swimming. It was a little grubby around the edges and had started to cloud over on the Wednesday of our week break as the cleaning tablet had run out. The whole area could use some TLC. However, that said, we had a wonderful week in this area and will have very fond memories of our time there.

Beautiful small villa near Lucca
We spent a week with our son and his family at this lovely small villa in San Martino in Freddana in July 2022. Mimi was a gracious and helpful host, very responsive to questions and offering suggestions. The weather was very hot during our stay and the pool was great. The bedrooms all have AC and the rest of the house stayed reasonably cold due to the thick walls. Lucca was a 10 minute drive with lots to do and see. We recommend this great little villa!

Stunning house with amazing views
Fantastic house in a stunning location, in fact I am surprised they don’t show more pictures of the view ! Great pool and general grounds around the house to keep the kids occupied. The village and surrounding area is very local which we loved, including often taking chances on the restaurant menus which is part of the adventure. Excellent supermarket, cafe/bar (coffee very good), pizzeria and gelateria.
Lucca is only 15 min drive which is a great little City to visit in the evening. Lido di Camaiore is also close (30mins) for trips to the beach.
Mimi and her Dad looked after us during our stay including leaving pastries some mornings and numerous bottles of wine in the evenings.

Beautiful Casa Musa
We have just come back from a two week break staying at Casa Musa. The villa was beautiful set in idyllic surroundings. It provided everything needed for a perfect family holiday. We visited quite a few areas such as our personal favourite Lucca, we also travelled to Florence, Pisa and Viareggio. Thank you to Mimi and her lovely family for their hospitality and the lovely Tuscan meal which was delicious! A fabulous holiday enjoyed by everyone.

Prima verblijf!

Really lovely house, with gardens, pool and view
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Musa. Mimicha was a great host, replying quickly to any queries and also very generous with surprise gifts, which was hugely appreciated! The kids loved watching the endless supply of lizards and I loved the view. Great gelateria within walking distance was an added bonus.
Tricky ish if you don't drive. The supermarket is walking distance away but along a veery busy road , and there;'s no public transport to Lucca, but we were happy to mainly ralax by the pool and splurge on taxis when we wanted something else.
Very happy to recommend this lovely place.

Lovely Villa and friendly hosts
The property was actually better than I expected all the bedrooms had new ensuite facilities with good air conditioning in the bedrooms.
The kitchen had limited work space but it was fine and everything you needed was there. There was a good washing machine , iron etc if you needed it.
The pool was nice and the owner really friendly and helpful. There is also a lovely ice cream parlour walking distance from the villa and a supermarket nearby. We had a lovely time and I thought it was good value .

Casa Musa villa in San Martin in Freddano
The villa was set in a very quiet location, far enough away from the main road through the village. All that could be heard was the sound of birds and at times a few noisy dogs! After turning into a small lane and negotiating a winding driveway we found the house in a lovely setting. Two bedrooms were en-suite and the third (which was reached by stairs going up from the kitchen) had a separate bathroom leading off the kitchen. The shower in this room would suit a very short person as it had a slanted ceiling! There were a few kitchen/dining/lounge items which we felt could have been provided to improve anyone's stay at the villa, so we spoke to the owner at the end of our 2wks and she was very grateful for our ideas. We were not aware however that our bedding and towels would not be changed after our first week and that if we wanted it doing we would have to pay extra, also extra for a cleaner to come in! We have rented villas quite a few times but never had to do this for ourselves! The pool is good and although not huge, suited us. Provision for outdoor dining was good. Surprisingly, San Martino has a very good supermarket which we made use of and also a few little shops which we could walk to, including a lovely Gelateria. This area of Tuscany gave us the opportunity to visit the surrounding countryside and towns including Lucca, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa. We found our hostess and her parents very amenable and we enjoyed our stay.

A very special place in our hearts!!!
A year has passed and yes we did keep our promise to return to Tuscany, from 27 June to 04 July. Not alone this time, but with the rest of the family...our 2 daughters and my mother in law.
Casa Musa was our first and ONLY choice.
Mimi was awaiting our arrival and once again welcomed us "Home".
When we returned to the Germany last year, my husband and I could not stop talking about the Beautiful house we stayed at. We promised to return someday with the children to share Tuscany with them.
We spent one beautiful week at Casa Musa and once again enjoyed the hospitality. We also once again experienced the beauty of Tuscany and our city visits included Firenze, Lucca, Pisa to name a few. We also visited the Cinque Terre..... simply wonderful!!!!
Caves in the Garafagnana , and a long drive through the Chianti area, spectacular vineyards and olive orchards!!! We indulged ourselves with delightful Italian cuisine and wine. Pity it all had to come to an end… like all good things do!!!
Our children and my mother in law, together with us truly enjoyed this one week. We are looking forward to our next visit.
We thank you for a wonderful time, Casa Musa holds a very special place in our hearts!!!

Simply Fantastic!!!
When we arrived, we were amazed by how wonderful everything looked! The pictures don't do the apartment justice, it looks much better in real life.
Everything was spotlessly clean, and we found a bottle of wine and biscuits as a welcome in the kitchen.
The house is beautifully furnished. It feels like you are stepping back in time and yet has every modern convenience you could require.
The pool was large and the garden area around with sun loungers, all aluminum and very comfortable. the pool it was immaculate and the girls loved swimming in the water.
Our week at Villa Musa finished far to quickly and we spent the evening relaxing on the portico. Villa Musa managed to cocoon me at relax me completely.
The whole family loved Villa Musa and came back home feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Excellent work Villa Musa!
We just booked again and will be back next summer !!!

A wonderful, relaxing time with friends
Three couples from university days and now forty years older shared memories and made new ones during a wonderful week in Tuscany. The pool was perfect for the hot summer days, the house was a relaxing retreat after visits to Carrara and Lucca and it was all made much easier by our host Mimicha. Congratulations to Mimicha on the pre-arrival information, support during the week and the Tuscan home-cooked meal on Wednesday evening. A place to reccomend!

Schönes Haus.Nette Vermieterin.

Further info:
We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday at Casa Musa.
It is situated on a hillside with an uninterrupted
view into the valley and the village of San Martino.
Despite having the owners living "round the back" you
would never have known it; it is very private and
quiet. We did not see the owners except when they
brought a gift of home grown fruit for us. However,
we knew they were there to help out in any way if we
had a problem.
The villa itself is clean and well appointed. Newly
refurbished, it has very good en-suite facilities,
and the kitchen provides all basic needs, with a
microwave, oven, gas hob and a good-sized
fridge/freezer (plus washing machine in the utility
room). One of the air conditioners was a bit
temperamental when we were there but the rooms were
cool and comfortable with shuttered windows.
The pool was clean and there were plenty of sun
loungers around it. The table tennis table and
equipment were a bonus.
The villa is situated in an area where there are
plenty of sights to see such as Pisa, Lucca,
Viareggio on the coast, and lovely valley rides into
the mountains.
Although we made these excursions in our hired car,
the best part of the week was definitely the time we
spent chilling out at the villa.
