Friendly staff, restaurant on site, clean room, large bathroom
Location was convenient but not walking distance to resort amenities like many others in town

This was a modernized Hilton, refreshing, very clean modern lines. It was very relaxing. It was away from downtown Vail which would have been nice to stay as there was a free Bluegrass Festival on. At the same time it was lovely to come back to the serenity of this hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
The laundry only takes quarters and there was no change at the front desk, or at the bar and restaurants. So I had to go around asking the guests. That is not a very nice thing to do to your guests. Why not just add a credit card reader. However I am very grateful there is a washing machine and dryer, so I do not want to complain too much. Having a washer and dryer sealed the deal in staying here.
The restaurants are run independently of the hotel, so on Sunday morning although we were hotel guests we could not get seated for brunch, as there was a queue of outside guests.

The 24 hour convenience store, the lobby decor, adjoining restaurant
I didn't know I wouldn't get Hilton Honors Points because I booked through Booking. Com. Also, I was only booked for one night when I booked two nights. I had to prove my reservation with a hard copy I had printed out.

Clean, spacious room. The hotel's linear personnel is amazing and helpful.
Location is pretty good.
Front desk service needs to be audited by the hotel chain management.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our suite and how comfortable the bedding was. We also really enjoyed that hot tub, pool, and games in the lobby and outside. It was also really convenient that they had a shuttle to anywhere you would like to go! Overall was a great place to stay!

The hotel is in a great location and is one of the few slightly reasonably priced hotels in Vail. The rooms are fine, beds are comfortable and I think you're getting what you expect from a large hotel chain like Hilton.
Beware when booking from Booking.com that Hilton will try to charge twice for their taxes and resort fee. I paid these fees during my booking and was charged them again at the time of my stay. The charge came out of my incidental hold and I was not told about it or given a copy of the bill. I saw the charge on my credit card and since I was staying again a week later asked the front desk at my next stay. Two different employees at two different times tried to convince me I was wrong and that Booking.com would not have charged me a resort fee and I had to pay it separately. This is incorrect. I was charged for the same taxes and fees twice. I was then referred to someone in their billing department to resolve this on my own. TBD.
My other complaint about this hotel is that the cleaning staff starts changing rooms over early (7am) and they're loud. Look, I get it, they're hard working people and it's a big hotel but on both occasions staying here I was woken up by them before 8am talking/ yelling down the hallway and slamming doors.

Location was good. The lobby bar(after a cold, damp concert...it was fantastic!) was really nice.
No breakfast.

The lady at the front desk was amazing. She seemed like the only knowledgable person working at the hotel. I wish I had her name.
As we walked to our room the hallway smelled like wet dog. We get to our room and the floor was completely wet. A fan was in the room trying to 'dry the carpet'.
We reserved a room with 2 queen beds, because we were traveling with my 7 yr old daughter who had a skate competition in Vail. The only other room they could switch us to was a king bed with a bench. This was not acceptable. When I asked the man at the front to just give us our $ back and let us leave he had to get approval.... We had already been there entirely too long - it wasn't our fault the room we reserved wasn't available.. :(.
In short the lady at the front saved us and handled everything. She is fabulous and I am thankful she was there. If she hadn't been there it would have been just ridiculous.
I understand the hotel may have been short staffed. However, when you have 3 people you can't expect them to sleep in 1 king bed and then act like we are bing high maintenance when the room we reserved isn't available. Especially when we just wanted a refund to go elsewhere. It should have been a 5 second conversation - ok great/done..
In short we were able to get a 2bedroom room elsewhere for the same price.. So we are very happy that we were able to leave.
