Our stay at Enza’s place was very nice. If you are looking for a sea view and quiet location this is great. The bus stops very close to the home. There is a wonderful grocery market and delicious restaurant within steps to her home. Montepertuso is high above Positano. To make it to town you either take a sometimes very crowded bus or walk up/down 1,000 steps. It IS a hike to say the least. Very beautiful home with a great kitchen and 2 beautiful bathrooms. Coffee maker, pods and laundry soap were supplied. We would have appreciated another piece of furniture to sit on in the great room. There was only a couch for the 3 of us. Overall we enjoyed our stay there very much!

Enza was amazing from meeting us to help park, to guiding us to the apartment and even helped with luggage. Apartment was spotless and the bathrooms were luxurious. Enza helped with the perfect Zodiac ride down the Amalfi coast and two restaurant reservations with excellent food. Recommend this accommodation to anyone

Amazing hosts!
Alberto and Enza were amazing. So very helpful during check-in and helped with any reservation we requested. We felt like locals in Montepertuso! Apartment is clean and perfect for two couples.

Amazing home in Montepertuso
Property was great for 4 ladies traveling together. Bedrooms were a good size with a king bed in each and adjoining bathrooms. Kitchen area and living room both good size. Home was very nicely furnished thru out. We weren't expecting it to be that far away from Positano but actually relished being away from the crowds in town and enjoyed the village of Montepertuso. The bus stop is close by to get to Positano with no need for a car. Enza was amazing and helpful in giving us advice and recommendations to dine at the local restaurant. I would highly recommend staying here.

This property is as nice as the photos and description. All appliances you need, plenty of room. We had a family of four and we’re very comfortable. The views were amazing. Location was easy as the market and restaurants are an easy short walk away. We stayed from Saturday to Friday and by Thursday the crowds started pouring in. Needless to say it’s much nicer when it isn’t too busy. The bus stop is also easily accessible. Enza recommended Enzo as our driver and he was amazing! Reliable, friendly, accommodating, easy to communicate with. He took us to Pompeii and Napoli. And from and to the airport (even at 2:30am!!!) lots of recommendations from both of things to do. Very nice people and quaint town, relaxing views, great food nearby. Fabulous vacation!

Short break near Positano
Immaculate apartment, well-furnished and really conveniently located to access the local shop, bus stop and steps to walk to Positano. Very thoughtful to supply some french toasts, jam and coffee for our first breakfast. Alberto couldn't have been more helpful.

Perfect!
I don't even know where to start. Enza and Alberto were amazing before we even arrived - giving recommendations of restaurants, shopping, and driving! From the moment we arrived (and our luggage didn't!) they treated us like family! Enza met us and immediately introduced us to everyone at the restaurant (Il Ritrovo) and the grocery store. She repeatedly offered to lend me clothes. She and Alberto communicated with the airport and the couriers to keep us up to date on our luggage. Since it was off season, Enza called every restaurant and store we wanted to go to, to make sure they were open. Which leads me now to Il Ritrovo. We ate at quite a few restaurants and Il Ritrovo had the best food we had in Italy! We kept going back. The owner was so friendly. The servers were amazing. They even made me a special dessert for my birthday, gave us champagne and sang Happy Birthday to me. We stayed there for 5 days and then we were leaving for a few days in Rome - and we did not want to leave. The location was perfect, the apartment was so comfortable, the views were breathtaking. We can't wait to go back.

Already planning a return
The November weather was a bit challenging, but we so enjoyed the apartment and Enza, our host, was so warm and helpful, it was easy to overlook. Traveling with my brother and his wife, we took full advantage of the beauties of Positano and visited Amalfi and Ravello. Enza had lots of suggestions and insight and our days were really fun. It was wonderful to return to the lovely apartment - we cooked ( local market is a treat) the kitchen is fully equipped and we had a terrific dinner at the local ristorante il Ritrivo that was memorable. There’s lots of hiking and walking if that’s your thing, but just appreciating the view from the terrace wii be enough for many. Highly recommended.

Superb accommodation
The property was all that we had hoped for. Very well equipped and clean. Lovely views from the balcony. Would recommend it to friends planning to visit the area. Alberto's greeting on our arrival and information about both the apartment and local services was excellent.

Excellent Stay!
We had a wonderful time while staying in Montepertuso. The apartment's location was perfectly situated near the bus station to go to the town center of Positano. This location provides quiet time away from the high volume of tourists in Positano during the summer, but is close enough to even take a nice walk down the 1000 steps to Positano. There is a little grocery store within a three minute walk from the apartment that provided anything we needed during our stay. I would also recommend dining at the nearby "Il Ritrovo" restaurant, as our dinner was delicious. Alberto was very welcoming and provided us with some good suggestions to help make our stay in Positano even more enjoyable. This was definitely an excellent find and would highly recommend this location.

We love the area and the apartment. Alberto was great every step, helped us with luggage and move in. The apartment is roomy and renovated. Pictures are accurate and current. Will stay back there next time I am in Positano. Grazie Alberto!!

Peaceful Montepertuso Apartment
This apartment is gorgeous, clean and peaceful. Tucked up in the hills behind Positano, it's the perfect location for a quiet stay in Italy, away from the throngs of tourists. To top it all off, it's only a 5 minute walk to the bus (which will take you down to Positano or to nearby villages), a lovely little grocery store (Marrone New Shop) and an incredible restaurant (Il Ritrovo). Alberto, the owner, is a wonderful host - helpful and charming in equal measures. Highly recommend.

Fantastic stay in Positano
It was a five star experience. Alberto greeted us at our car and escorted us into the apartment. It is spacious for 4 people, clean, a great view and balcony that over looks the town.
It's a 1000 stairs to the bottom of Positano but driving or taking the bus is very easy.
Alberto is the perfect host and provided us with all the necessary information to make the most of our trip.
We look forward to coming back.

A Little away from the crowds
House is simply gorgeous and located close enough to Positano but far enough away from the crowds and noise. Alberto the owner greeted us and helped us with luggage. He also set up restaurant reservation at his cousins restaurant just steps from House. Food was great and reasonably priced.. Alberto's went above and beyond the call to make sure our stay was memorable. Nicest place we stayed in our two week European romp

Excellent Location
Very nice property with excellent location away from the crowds of Positano. Owner is very helpful on all queries. We did suggest that he add a chair in the living area as only seating for three now. Overall it is nicely appointed and would recommend it to anyone.

Neat and spacious appartment
Comfortable place for 4 people with big and nice living room. Seems recently renovated and very clean. The local bus stop is 2 min away- convenient to reach center of Positano. Might be complicated to get on the bus during the peak season.

Thank you,

Great, updated house.
Great location in Montepertuso. Close to bus stop, restaurants and grocery store. House is in great condition inside with views of the sea, the town and the cliffs of "The Path of The Gods". We hiked all of the trails in the hills above Positano from the house. The owners were very helpful with showing us where to hike, along with arranging transportation when we needed it. Overall, a wonderful experience!

A special time in Montepertuso
Stayed 3 weeks in Casa Guilia and just loved it. Very clean and comfortable. Alberto and his family are so special and made our stay feel like we were staying with family. I highly recommend this property. Terrace is great especially in the morning with our coffee. There is even a beautiful fig tree right off the terrace. This is a 5 star property.

Awesome apartment in the beautiful city of Positano
We loved our stay in this apartment, it was our first stop on our trip and definitely set the bar high for all the others. Alberto is very helpful and was always quick with answers to any questions we had. The apartment is very comfortable and the location is beautiful. We were able to walk to many places, but the bus stop is right by the apartment. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a local grocery store. The beautiful down of Positano is just a bus ride away, we walked all the way down 1000+ steps our legs were sore the next day but definitely an experience we will always remember. Thank you Alberto for your hospitality, we hope to come back some day!

A little late in writing this review. We spent 3 weeks in Italy and this condo and Positano was the highlight of our trip. We actually added 1 night to our reservation after arriving because it was so great! We would have stayed longer if we could have. Alberto, his wife and family were the best. They took care of us from the beginning to end, brought us figs and other goodies and were just amazing! Even before arriving once we had booked Alberto got in contact with me right away and made sure everything was in place, what service! The condo itself is very clean, has more than enough space, we were two couples each with a large bedroom and our own beautiful bathroom. Large kitchen and livingroom are too. Had all conveniences, equipment and supplies, we made meals and ate at condo a couple of times. The Wi-Fi was excellent and the air conditioning too! From the large balcony you get a view of the sea above the rooftops of the condos below. The condo is situated in Montepertuso which is approximately 1000 steps above Positano. We walked down one time but never tried walking back up! We enjoyed taking the bus down and up which was fun and an adventure in itself! The area where condo is a beautiful, old and secluded small community of condos with a couple of nice restaurants and small grocery store right there! You can pick up any of the necessities you need like wine:-) whenever you needed it, 1 minute walk! Positano itself is a great place with lots of different shops, restaurants etc. Very beautiful place that served as our starting point for visiting via ferry Capri, Amalfi and Revello. We arrived on the Sunday parked our car in designated spot provided by Alberto and didn't touch the car until we left 5 days later!
I recommend Alberto's place with no reservations whatsoever. If you are staying in the Positano region this is the place to stay!! When we go back again to Italy we will definitely be staying here and next time hopefully for longer!
Thanks Alberto to you and your wife for being so nice and generous to us. You made our stay at your condo such an enjoyable experience!

The apartment was very well located near commodities (bus, grocery) and 2 reputated restaurants.
The host was so perfect, taking time to give us all the explanations we needed and more. He made us very good suggestions.
The apartment was very clean and well-maintained and we found anything we needed.
No doubt than we will recommended this apartment to our friends and relatives.

Alberto was a great host - gave us plenty of information on the surrounding area. Apartment was clean and very spacious. Location is close to some fabulous local restaurants and has great views. It is in a residential and non-touristy area, convenient to a small supermarket. The stairs to Positano are not too steep. Descent/ascent takes 20-30 minutes depending on where you are going. Bus/Taxi is also a great option to get down/up the hill. Highly recommend!

Our stay was amazing. Alberto is a great host: he met us upon arrival (even came to find us when we got lost), spent time getting us set up in the apartment, and gave us tips on everything from day trips to local restaurants. When we had further questions, he was always quick to reply. His mom even had some lemonade for us in the fridge when we got there - so sweet!
The apartment was very clean and clearly well cared for. It looks exactly the same as the photos. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed (NOTE: we just cooked breakfast and went out for all other meals.) For dinners, I highly recommend Il Ritrovo, which is in the village square. It is a beautiful spot with an incredible view, great food, and Alberto's cousin works there, which meant we got a very friendly reception - it is worth name dropping.
Although the apt. is not located in the heart of Positano, we liked being a bit off the beaten path. It was quieter and more restful. The walk down the steps into Positano was about 1000 steps (our educated guess). We walked down and took the bus back...would definitely not recommend walking back up unless you are fit, or travelling without children. My girls were fine on the way down, but would have never made it back up again. Also the bus is a fun experience - not to be missed.
Overall, I would recommend this highly, and would definitely stay there again. The only downside is that the view is obstructed by another house right in front. Not a deal breaker by any means - everything else was so wonderful!
Thank you, Alberto and family, for making our stay in your home the best part of our holiday.

I had been looking for a property in Positano for about 3 weeks for our family of 4. While there are several properties to choose from with views and terraces, there were only a couple properties that could come close to what we were looking for- 2 bedroom 2/1 bath with terrace and close to bus stop, grocery stores and restaurants. In fact I think were extremely lucky to find this jewel of a vacation home, whose owner Alberto Barba made every effort to make our stay wonderful and enjoyable. The property is tastefully renovated, with a modern open kitchen with all the amenities you need to cook if you want to stay in. It has air-conditioning(which is a boon in the August heat) and 2 bathrooms, one equipped with a bathtub and one a shower, a luxury in the small village of Montpuertuso.
Alberto is an amazing landlord, he was always prompt with any queries and requests we had -prior to our arrival, as we were travelling all the way from Hong Kong through Rome and Napes to his property. He even helped us with our travel arrangements from Naples. He organised Patrizio who met us in Naples train station and drove us to Positano, an amazing picturesque drive! Alberto met us at our car and even helped with our bags and helped us procure a quick lunch at an amazing Local Restaurant (which belongs to his cousin-amazing food and amazing service) which is just round the corner from the villa. You can't go wrong with this property, Alberto thank you very much for your hospitality and we hope to return one day : )

Lovely, well done apartment in Montepertuso, with a great host Alberto. Spacious with two rooms and two bathrooms, nice open layout with kitchen and living room + balcony with an acceptable view. Wear your runners for the steps down to Positano beach, there are a lot of them, OR take the bus, it is a great way to work off the pasta!

We were very impressed with Alberto our host as well as with his apartment. The apartment was very clean with all amenities and parking was also provided--a big plus for the Amafi coast. Alberto answered all our questions and guided us on what to do there. We would love to come again.

Out of five different places we stayed in Italy, this was our favorite! My group consisted of four men in our late 20s exploring different cities in Italy. This apartment provided us with lots of space to relax and sleep. The view from the balcony alone was worth the (reasonable) price. The apartment is near restaurants, small shops, and the bus stop to get down to the beach. Alberto was beyond helpful getting us to the apartment and pointing out different places to visit during our stay. We felt at home there. The apartment was exceptionally clean and up to date. Having two bathrooms was a huge help for us. This is a great apartment for up to 5 adults and I would recommend it to anyone!

Everyone was wonderful! Alberto communicated so well all the way up to and during our trip. He arranged for Patrizio to pick us up from the airport and deliver us to the apartment. The apartment was clean, spacious and well appointed. The little market nearby made picking up basics easy (just be mindful of the hours!) Restaurant il Ravello (Alberto's cousin) was so amazing we went back a second evening. Do not miss the path of the gods for a hike - and the walk down to Positano (and back) makes you feel a bit better about all the bread and gelato. Only complaint is minor: drip coffee maker so slow! Definitely need a new one for us Americans! Truly a wonderful stay!
2.5 / 5.0
The house was beautiful, comfortable and very spacious -- We loved it! It's a 15 minute bus ride to downtown Positano, but the bus stop is very close. We also enjoyed the nearby convenience store/market and Alberto's family restaurant, just steps from the house. The best part of the stay was Alberto himself. From picking us up at the ferry to making sure our luggage was taken care of - he seemed like an old friend from the second we met. We so appreciated his input and guidance in making our first trip to the area a memorable one.
