The location and the entry to the facility.
It felt like the entry and area set a false expectation of the rooms and rest of the hotel. I felt like I stayed in a cleaner Motel 8.
3.0
staff were friendly and nice. They provided what we needed.
The room was very dirty. The shower and toilette were dirty in a way that both needed a core maintenance due to broken parts, damages tiles and also on the daily basis with hairs on the wall of the shower .

I liked the old school vibe of the hotel. It is a very old building that has been completely remodeled and has an old style feel with modern comfort and amenities.
The only thing I didn't like was the end room air conditioner. The air was too cold when it was running, or it was too warm in the room when it wasn't running. There needed to be a temperature control, but there wasn't.

Main road location, beds comfortable, shower powerful, nice courtyard area, bar staff fabulous, knowledgeable and fun
We were traveling for a car show, asked reception to book a cab for return on the Saturday, were informed that they had a shuttle bus that would transport us so wouldn't need a taxi, told to come down early on Saturday morning to get shuttle. No one was available to take us so a member of staff took us in her own vehicle and dropped us off at the car park ,I stressed to her that we would need picking up from this point later on as we didn't know the area, she assured us that there was a male staff member on later and was all arranged, after the event finished a little early, I rang the hotel to request an earlier pick up, three times the phone was put down on me before I finally spoke to a male staff member who told me they would have to speak to management later as this was not authorized and they couldn't help us.This was incredibly scary as we were stranded in a strange country with no way to get back, We finally found somewhere open who very kindly called us a taxi and even walked us to meet it.When I raised my issue with reception staff the next day they were not interested and dismissive. Incredibly disappointing place and bad attitude, will be contacting Doubletree direct.

Breakfast at Zalmans.
Hotel laid out weird. We were not the only people searching for their room. Buttons on elevator confusing. Who has a basement, lower level (which is the main floor), and 3rd floor.

The unit was nice and roomy. There was a refrigerator that eventually got our water and sodas cold,
The lighting outside was mild and we could get to the bathroom at night with calm, outside lighting.
The unit was not provided with linens and towels for our third person
We went to the desk to find out where the ice machine was and 20 minutes later we were still looking for it - eventually the linen delivery man took us to it.
The refrigerator was warm and not cooling, we eventually moved it away from the cabinet and left the cabinet door open
The sofa bed had a very heavy metal coffee table in front of it. I took 3 of us to move it out of the way so we could use the bed.

Had to pay for coffee and I don't like the coffee in the room
So coffee would have been great

Didn't have breakfast, the location was good.
The crib size pillows on a king size bed and the pillows need to be replaced with something more Kingsley.

This is the third time we've chosen this hotel for a stay, and each time we have been perfectly satisfied. The parking lot is spacious, located at the back of the hotel, with a convenient entry (using a key) from the rear. Overall, everything about the hotel - from the staff, the cleanliness, the room comfort to the bar, and more small things - is excellent. While there's no room service, there is a restaurant (offering breakfast and lunch) on the ground floor and snacks available at the reception.
But what truly stands out is the extraordinary staff - from housekeeping to maintenance, the receptionists, and notably, Sean Hughes and Marisol Sanchez (the Director of Rooms), who all perform their roles to absolute perfection.
This year, our arrival was disrupted by some intense storms, but the entire staff's response was impeccable. We rented a spacious and spotless suite, complete with a sofa sufficient for a third person, and an additional King room with a balcony for two relatives (who stayed for one night), and honestly, everything was just perfect.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at the hotel!
Finding anything negative to write about this place is challenging... Check out our positive review first: overall, we adore this hotel, especially all the staff members who always maintain an upbeat and professional demeanor. It's clear that good leadership fosters great teams. If there's anything worth mentioning about the hotel: they currently do not have USB-C ports (!) (though they might install these soon), but honestly, when compared to everything else, it's just "For information".
Also, maybe worth noting for some travelers, there's no room service.. However, as mentioned earlier: they do have a bar, plus a reception with snacks (at anytime) and a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. So you're well catered for. Plus, the coffee machines in the rooms are more than satisfactory.
One additional note: the hotel is especially set up for hosting weddings, so during the weekends, you might encounter some noise in the corridors. But then again, I've never stayed in a "super quiet" hotel. All in all, the positives far outweigh any minor inconveniences.

Location was perfect and the rooms were very clean and satisfactory. The breakfast at the restaurant was just so so and the service was extremely slow. The non functional EV charger was an issue which caused us to have to find a charger to get back home.
We chose this hotel due to the proximity to the place we needed to be the next day and because it had an EV charger on site. When we arrived we were told that the EV charger was non functional due to some construction around it. As we were then unable to charge our vehicle over night, we were forced to go out of our way and spend extra time going home the next evening in order to find an EV charger. This was very disappointing to us.

Room was clean, quiet throughout the night.
The bed was a little firm for my liking.
