The balcony, the pool, the location, the easy check-in and check-out

Our stay was rather disappointing, especially considering the amount of money we spent on this 3-night stay ($1,875.95). This was a two-bedroom apartment advertised as being part of “the upscale Sunrise Suites Resort”. The suites are anything but upscale. The apartment is especially minimalist, missing many of the usual items provided in vacation rental units. Examples: tiny kitchen with no pantry or shelving available; no Keurig type coffee machine; no dishcloths; kitchen GFI outlets broken or non-functional; only one extra blanket in the unit (between 2 bedrooms); furniture was very shoddy; mattress on bed spongy & misshapen; unable to use dishwasher due to rubber seal pieces coming apart; no washer/dryer in the unit; the main bathroom shower is very hard to work; etc.
Vacasa refers to their standards of “high cleanliness and maintenance values”, but we found the unit was so dirty that we kept footwear on whenever we were walking in the unit. The tile, grouting and faucets in the main bathroom are dirty and appear to be moldy (we took pictures), and a major reason for the poor rating.
The apartments were only a few hundred yards from the island airport’s main runway, with landings and takeoffs throughout the day. Thankfully, these stopped around 10pm.
We were led to believe the description that everything in this unit will “add to an atmosphere of luxury and total relaxation”. Unfortunately, this was not our experience.

It had 2 bathrooms.
Dated, missing caulk, one burner didn't work. The pool/hot tub didn't open until 10am. TV remotes all need new batteries.

Kitchen tiles broken through out. This was also in a previous view. I wish I didn't book this place. Definitely not worth the money spent. Very outdated. Paint would go a long way. I've had to stay in not so good places, because of being so exhausted on our travel. They were cheaper and Definitely nicer. Just a place to lay my head for awhile.

We loved that we were able to get away from the busy Duvall Street area to the quieter side of Key West by staying at Sunset Suites.
The kitchen was a bit dated and the floor tile was cracked but we didn’t really cook any meals while we were there so it didn’t negatively impact our stay. Just had limited items if you planned to make some meals.

Everything was very clean. Outdated but well maintained. Beds were comfortable and having 1 parking space was very helpful. I would come again.

The bed in the master bedroom was not made. The mattress was old and not good quality. I expected moore for over $400 a night!
