The patio and dining room overlook the flight path to Gillespie field, where you can see restored WWI and WWII aircraft constantly flying by.
The neighborhood and street are very quiet and extremely safe. At night you just hear the crickets outside and in the morning you have a serenade of bird calls.
Master bedroom w/bath:
This luxurious bedroom (with attached bathroom) is the largest room in a spacious 1200+ sq. ft. house that we call “The Gillespie House”.
The Lavender room has a brand new spring-coil king-sized bed, lavender bedding, nightstands, antique desk, chair, a closet, and two small cabinets to store your stuff. It has an alarm clock with USB jacks to charge your Smartphone.
The private bathroom is new, clean, fully stocked, has a Jacuzzi bathtub, and even the towels are lavender.
Bedroom 2:
The Turquoise Room is the farthest away of the 3 bedrooms for guests in the house. It has a brand new spring-coil king-sized bed, and an alarm clock with USB jacks to charge your Smartphone.
Bedroom 3:
The White Room is the smallest of the 3 bedrooms for guests in the house. It has a brand new spring-coil queen-sized bed, and an alarm clock with USB jacks to charge your Smartphone.
The kitchen is large and features a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, 4-burner stove, full-sized oven, toaster-oven, toaster, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, cutlery, pans, pots, wine opener, can opener, salt/pepper, paper towels, etc. The island in the middle even has USB jacks to charge your phone. The full-sized refrigerator comes pre-stocked with bottled water and fresh Starbucks coffee beans.
We provide everything from cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, trash bags, dish-washing detergent etc.
Each bedroom and the living room has a 32-inch TV with Firestick so you can connect to your streaming service.
The rooms and the entire house have Wi-Fi. We recently bumped up the speed of the Internet to over 30Mbps!
For our business guests, we also offer wireless access to a laser printer and scanner.
Guest access
Guests have 1 parking space and plenty of street parking. There is a washer/dryer on the premises. Detergent and dryer sheets provided.

Getting around
Shopping: Less than 5 minutes away are the shopping malls and restaurants in Santee and fun places like the Santee drive-in and Parkway Bowl. Food options include Mexican as well as lots of different ethnic foods from Japanese to Lebanese.
Driving: Easy access to everywhere from I-8 or I-52, just down the hill.
Parking: You are allotted one parking space on the property but have plenty of street parking for a second car.
Transit: There is a bus stop within 10 minutes walk. Keep in mind that San Diego’s public transportation system is terrible. You are far better off renting a car at the local Enterprise car rental place for approx

Hiiden gem in sunny San Diego for cororate offsites!
This place is like a hidden gem in San Diego. Away from the craziness and traffic of downtown, yet I can be anywhere from La Jolla to Downtown, to the biotech distract in 20 to 30 min because 3 of the major freeways are 4 min away. Our team even got a chance to hit the beach for a sunset walk after a tough meeting. It was only 30 min away. I was blown away that both the water and air were in the 70's at the end of Oct, you do not see that at our HQ in San Francisco.
The huge living room was perfect for company meetings and we didn't even use one of the 3 bedrooms. The speed of the Wi-Fi made doing business easy!
We will be back for our next off-site in beautiful Sunny San Diego!

Get away to the mountains but stay close to San Diego central
Stayed here with my extended family. 7 of us enjoyed an extended stay in this wonderful house. Huge living room, dining area, and patio that overlooks the local private airfield. BBQed and drank daquis into the night while watching the WWII restored airplanes doing a mini flight show for us. Mega comfy living room leather couch that opens up to an L-shaped queen-sized sleeper for 2-3 kids. Lots of bathrooms so we could all get ready comfortably. Beds were huge and very and comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. Loved the back patio area. there is a huge trail system in the back and amazing hiking a 10 min walk away from the house. Quiet, relaxed neighborhood. So much outdoor toys and fun for the kids. Glad we found this great home (away from home).

Our group had a wonderful stay at what the call "Gillespie House". The name comes from Gillespie Field, a private little airport in the eastern suburbs of San Diego.
We had a great time watching the restored WWII aircraft land on the runaway. it is just close enough to see them, but far enough not to hear them.
The house was big (3 bed, 2 bath) and man what a kitchen.
Perfect for our family and our friend's family. With a table for 8 in the liniing room and on the patio table, we were able to all fit.
The kitchen was big enough for both families to cook and we loved the 4 burner BBQ.
Best was that is was only a 30-min drive to the La Jolla Shores, and all the other beaches.
We had a great stay.

Up on a hill so it’s very secluded and offers tons of privacy and room
My friends and I stayed at the Gillespie House recently and were truly pleased. Not sure why it was named that way, we asked the host and were told about the airport nearby. It was fun to watch the old WWII planes landing. Anyway, it’s neat that they incorporated the name. There are 3 bedrooms, each named after a different color and it’s cool because the linens are all color-coordinated as well. Perfect for knowing what belongs where. The scenery outside is simply breathtaking and there is a grill outside on the patio. We cooked outside and because the kitchen has all the essentials we only had to worry about buying our food, not tons of spices, etc.
The house is up on a hill so it’s very secluded and offers tons of privacy. There’s even dedicated parking for the unit on the driveway. Because of the hill, you get a 360 of San Diego. Hosts were gracious and amicable.
