About this cottage rental
The First Floor apartment has a very spacious kitchen and a huge living/dining area, fabulous for large groups. There is a large balcony off the main bedroom with table and chairs - perfect for breakfast overlooking the sea. There is also a separate garden area out to the front of the property for the sole use of the first floor guests with teak garden furniture and BBQ.
The furnishings in both apartments have been tastefully chosen to reflect the bright modern space and most importantly they are extremely comfortable.
The apartment is well equipped and we have tried to think of everything you will need to make your holiday as relaxing as possible. The views overlooking the Camel Estuary are fantastic and with the tide constantly changing you could sit for hours enjoying the vista across the sea. Beau Vista really must be one of the best places to stay in Padstow. The apartments have full central heating and this is included in the price as well as the lovely cotton bed linen and towels. Please bring your own beach towels.

The outside of the property was badly in need of redecoration and lots small niggles in side e.g door handles stiff or falling off chipped plates, dirty windows very few mismatched wine glasses.
But good linen lots of space inside and out.

This was our second stay at this property and we hope to stay again. It's very spacious and offers absolutely stunning views of the estuary, the old railway bridge and across to Rock. It is well located for everythig the area has to offer and is only a few minutes walk to the Camel Trail and on to the centre of lovely Padstow (steep hill on the way back!).
It would benefit from a 'deep clean' but all the main areas and linens were spotless and everything worked; there was nothing to concern us.
The property itself is rather tired and has massive potential for updating but this is reflected in the price; if this potential is fully realised it would almost certainly price itself out of our range.
Parking is tight but manageable. We have only stayed in the upper apartment and are aware that noise travels easily between the two levels. Information sent in advance and that provided at the property (eg regarding rubbish collections) differ and need updating.
The letting agents, Cornish Seaview Cottages Ltd., are very friendly, helpful and eager to assist; excellent personal service which we would contrast with some larger organisations we have dealt with.
Overall: highly recommended provided the slight compromises above are understood. We hope to be back again!

We all had a very enjoyable stay in this well appointed, spacious, clean apartment. The views from the large lounge windows and balcony over the Camel Estuary with the changing tides and weather were a highlight. The location was good as we were able to walk into Padstow a great advantage as parking in the town at busy times would have been difficult. The proximity to Tesco for shopping was a bonus. There was a good choice of places to eat out at reasonable cost locally. There were many beautiful beaches nearby and places of interest. The town was busy but friendly with lots of attractive features and lovely walks.
Our only slight criticisms were that the parking was a bit tight and the outside appearance e.g. paintwork, garden, garden furniture, looked a bit uncared for.
Cornish Seaview Cottages were very efficient handling the booking, providing information and making personal contact just before the holiday. We knew who to contact in case of any problems encountered.

Wonderful views and location, interior needs updating
Starting with the good things about the property:
1) The location is unbeatable. High up so you get great views of the estuary, quiet and a short pleasant walk into town (10 mins). The views from the living room and the master bedroom are also incredible, panoramic and unobstructed, really gives it that wow factor.
2) The apartment is very large and the kitchen is well equipped, it is comfortable enough to feel a bit like a home from home.
The bad things about the property are as follows:
3) The interior is very outdated and tired out in many places. Drawers are hanging off furniture and doorknobs are loose/falling off, the sofas seem old and bathrooms tired. It seems as though owners are relying on the views to sell the property, taking those away it really is unremarkable on the inside.
4) The master bedroom has unfortunately no blackout curtains, making it very uncomfortable to sleep at night due to due night lights from next door flooding in, and waking up very early in summer due to the sun coming in. We thought that this wasn't acceptable that this hasn't been considered for a bedroom with so many windows.
5) The house was not thoroughly cleaned on our arrival, we found that the bin in the living room had lots of toenail clippings in it from the previous tenant. Very unpleasant to see.
I can imagine that this place is even more expensive in a peak season and so for that reason I think the interior could be improved to make it more value for money.

We have come to Beau Vista for at least 8 years. It has the best view! Also Good restaurants in walk
We love our visits to Beau Vista. We think the property could do with a bit of updating such as the kitchen especially the cooker. Also the bed in the main room isn’t particularly comfortable and the lighting in the sitting room not great for reading. However the price is good and it is generally very comfortable with good dishwasher, washing machine , tumble dryer etc and a great shower which you can move as opposed to a fixed head where you have to wash your hair whether you want to or not! We also like a separate kitchen as opposed to the general trend to have it in your sitting room. It is a beautiful location and you would find it hard to better that view! 10 minutes down to a marvellous selection of restaurants and 20 minutes back up the hill to work off a few of those calories! The parking could be easier but it’s fine. I understand it’s going to be made into 2 houses and we look forward to hopefully visit it next year and see the result!

Room with a view
Spacious property, the lounge/diner was bright and comfortable, with amazing views of the estuary.
Would have been extremely useful if we realised that there was extra parking space in addition to those mentioned. Overall good time had by all.

A wonderful family holiday.
To return to Beau Vista again but with all our family including 4 Grandchildren has been wonderful.
To have both apartments meant all 16 of us were catered for not only adequately but beautifully.
The outdoor space allowed for intergenerational games of football, sunbathing (we went in April!)
And just chilling and chatting.
Thankyou Beau Vista for these wonderful memories.

Great view - lots of space and a good location - what more could you need when visiting Padstow
6 of us hired the house for a long weekend in January - It was great to have Padstow to ourselves. We ate out in Padstow every night.

Fantastic views , good size for a family.
Beau vista first floor was a good space with fantastic views don't think we even put the T.v on, not really a down side but being the cook I would have preferred a more up to date kitchen. Would definitely return to beau vista👍🏻

Very good
This was a wonderful spacious apartment with the most fantastic view. Clean and well presented but in some areas i.e. the kitchen it needed some modernisation. However I would certainly stay again and would recommend it.

Fabulous location, good apartment
Good property, very clean, though a little dated in some rooms, overall very adequate and well equipped. Brilliant views from the rear of the property. Good value.

Super stay!
We loved Beau Vista first floor apartment for its location, views and spaciousness. It was well equipped, spotlessly clean and reasonably priced. To bring it up to 5stars, I would put mattress toppers on all the beds, as all the guests staying found them to be very hard. I would also replace the table mats with all woven ones, which won't wear and discolour , and some of the bedroom furniture let the apartment down by its cheap appearance. I am nitpicking here! We would definitely return to this apartment.
