About this house rental
Our ‘treehouse’ sits on the Baskerville ridge in the famous wine region of the Swan Valley, a 45-minute drive from Perth and thirty minutes from the airport.
The property is 12 acres of Australian bush, with a viewing platform that sits at tree-top level and looks northerly down to the coastal plain. You will see flocks of birds and an occasional mob of kangaroos, get back to nature and unplug.
Wineries, breweries, restaurants, parks and other attractions are located nearby (read on).
The outside entertainment area consists of a heated outdoor Jacuzzi (hot tub), kitchen, barbecue, double sided fireplace. There is a pot-belly stove inside, your winter get-away awaits.
Family-friendly, swings, trampoline and a zip line (use at your own peril) ensure plenty of outdoor entertainment, often missed with busy city life. You may also walk into our local bush and follow an equestrian trail to a small pond and seasonal stream.
Sandalfords, Lamont’s, Houghtons, Upper Reach and other wineries or local breweries like the Feral and Mash are at your doorstep. The property is driving distance to the State Equestrian Center, John Forrest National Park, Belvoir Ampitheatre, Bells rapids (Avon Descent), Whiteman Park, Caversham Wildlife Park, Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm, Margaret River Chocolate Factory, mini-golf at the Oasis and other attractions. Get out and enjoy all the valley has to offer and then come home and relax in our hot spa and unwind.
We know you will love to get with nature in our treehouse. Tea, coffee and basic amenities are provided.
The semi-rural feel to this bit of bush land is sure to charm. It is secluded, yet offers easy access to local attractions in the Swan Valley. The sizes of the properties in our neighborhood range from 10 to 18 acres, which allows for plenty of space and unique views for each home.
We do not live on the premises but please phone or e-mail me if the matter is urgent. We also have a friend who lives nearby who can assist you.
We have had to put cameras at the front door, facing our driveway/ shed, gate and utility room to monitor extra guests as we have had issues with extra people at the property.
The cameras are not in any way intrusive to your privacy.
Please do not invite other people to our home. We have a 10 guest maximum allowed on the property.
Any extra people noted arriving will be a breech of house rules.
Please enjoy the Spa, it is currently at 38 degrees, we just ask our guests to shower before hand as any creams or oils affects the water quality.
We apologise, but if the spa requires draining, cleaning, refilling and re-balancing a $200 fee will be charged, please ensure guests remove any bodily creams and oils to avoid this fee.
If enjoying a beverage in the spa, please only use plastic cups provided.
OUR DECK IS JARAH PLEASE DO NOT SHIFT FURNITURE AS WE WILL BE REQUIRED TO CHARGE IF THE DECK NEEDS SANDING AND OILING.
Cleaning the house is a massive task, please leave it is you found it.

This is our second stay at this property. It is an amazing block with endless hours of fun for the kids. The zip line, creek, waterfall, trampoline and spa were hugely popular with our kids. The actual house is quite basic / not luxurious but great for kids. There have been updates made to the kitchen since our last stay which makes it much more user friendly. Would be better if the middle room had bunks instead of two singles so the door closes properly and there was more space, and reverse cycle needed too in there, but I’m sure those updates are probably in the pipeline.
Spectacular view!!
