About this villa rental
Villa Cortina is an impressive rural hideaway with stunning panoramic views set in beautiful countryside, well stocked with flowers and shrubs in very large landscaped gardens, including a good-sized pool, putting green and table tennis. It is situated only minutes from the bustling market town of Loule, with tourist attractions, shops/pharmacies etc., and the world famous resorts of Quinta do Lago and Vilamoura with their fabulous sandy beaches. The villa is WiFi enabled and has three double bedrooms, all with superb views, three bathrooms, a large living room, a newly fitted kitchen and a large new flat-screen Panasonic TV. Air-conditioning is included to the bedrooms for comfort. The villa benefits from an alarm system for your peace of mind for when you go exploring the local restaurants and nightlife! The gardens and grounds are maintained to a high standard by our team of gardeners. The ever popular putting green, and table tennis area, amidst hard and soft landscaping, offer entertainment for our active and not so active guests. There is an outside bar adjacent to the putting green which we call 'hole 19' where a cool drink awaits the players. The slight breeze is so nice on a very hot day and the terrace with umbrella provides respite from the midday sun. Time to top up your tan safely! The swallows swoop in low over the pool taking insects in flight and are wonderful to watch during the day. The sparkling lights on the horizon as dusk falls are mesmerising as they flicker and bob in the night air. Cortina is truly a magical escape from the daily routine back home and one we shall continue to enjoy for many more years to come.

As a family of 6 we had a fabulous week in Villa Cortina which sits on an enormous plot inland from the coast. The Villa is a great size with a really large comfortable lounge/dining area and a very well equipped kitchen & utility. There are 2 bedrooms and a large bathroom on the first floor with a master bedroom & en suite on the ground floor. There is a third bathroom with shower also on the ground floor. Everything worked so well - the all important Wi-Fi was excellent and the showers were powerful and hot. We enjoyed watching a bit of the Olympics on the tv which has every channel you can think of.
The real beauty of the place is the outside space - ping pong, darts (in the outside bar area) and the putting green were great fun. The pool is deep and large. The BBQ was used every night as we ate under the stars. There are loads of supermarkets nearby and Loulé is a lovely little town to visit. The coastline is a little over-developed in places but there are some beautiful little beaches to be found. A Car is absolutely essential.
The villa is away from everything and the perfect place to chill out in the sun.

The house is nestled along a hill and offers incredible views and beautiful silence. The pool was perfect and the extras (table tennis & putting green) kept our child busy. The kitchen was well equipped. In addition the home was close to the beach and other activities. The communication with David and Bill were impeccable. Thank you for providing the ultimate relaxation experience!

Wow! What an oasis! Tranquil location. Close enough to shops but far enough away to have peace. We will definitely rebook this Villa towards the end on 2023.

Loved our stay here, beautiful views and breeze in the hills above the algarve coast. Very peaceful spot and vast plot of land with plentiful seating and dining areas. Close to Loule which has a fab market and some excellent local restaurants. Bathrooms and kitchen were particularly new and modern.
Would definitely recommend.

We had a fabulous week at Villa Cortina. The pool was just perfect for the 6 of us and the surrounding grounds of the Villa are huge. Plenty of room for sporting activities including the putting green and table tennis already there. The Villa is really comfortable and provides everything you need for a perfect family holiday. We would definitely recommend Villa Cortina!

We had a lovely 2 weeks at Villa Cortina. The property was very clean and well equipped. It was lovely having the maid come and change the bedding during our stay. The gardens have many different places to sit and enjoy the view. Communication with the owner was excellent. We would definitely return.

Villa is beautiful, everything that you would ever need. Perfect in every way.
Excellent communication with the owner. We took two small dogs and a teenage. Beautiful location, no neighbours near by.

Summer 2020 Getaway
We stayed at the villa for five weeks during summer 2020 and it was a great stay. David was very helpful with the coronavirus travel uncertainty. The villa was spacious with a beautiful garden in a tranquil countryside location - and the kids loved the pool!

We spent two weeks at Villa Cortina and had a very pleasant stay.
Everything worked, the location is peaceful and within easy reach of
supermarkets and beaches and right in the center of the Algarve so you can easily explore the Eastern and Western Algarve.

There was plenty of seating inside and outside so no fighting over sun loungers or comfortable seats. A car is really essential as it is a drive away to the nearest supermarket but only about 10 mins. It's also, realistically, a 15-20 minute drive to most restaurants. The villa was really clean on arrival and there was a maid service every few days which was a pleasant surprise and therefore we were provided with clean towels regularly. We did have one small issue whilst at the property but a quick call to the manager and this was sorted out promptly.We would not hesitate to return and would definitely recommend it others.

Lovely Holiday
This property is in a quiet location with magnificent views. It has a good size swimming pool and other facilities, including min golf and table tennis. The Villa is kept clean and tidy by a maid who comes twice a week and the grounds and swimming pool are also maintained weekly. Nearby is Vilamoura, which has a variety of restaurants and an impressive marina. Would stay there again and recommend to friends.

Family Holiday at Villa Cortina.
We had a fantastic holiday. The villa had everything we needed and more. The pool was enjoyed by our whole family (our two boys aged 9 and 6 had a great time). The table tennis and mini golf area were also well used. The villa itself was well equipped and we were able to cook and eat in comfort while taking in the beautiful view. The information at the villa about the local area was also much appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend this villa.

Highly impressive retreat
Lovely villa set in the hills above Parragil with fabulous eastern views. Clean, spacious and plenty of relaxation space.
Had a wonderful 10 days at the Cortina and really felt ‘away from it all’ whilst only 10 minutes from the supermarket.
Kitchen was well equipped cutlery wise but the addition of pantry items such as salt, pepper, oils etc and oven trays would have been welcome. Main seating area in lounge could do with replacing.
Otherwise fabulous. Would highly recommend a stay at the villa and the communication with David before and after has been first class.

Paradise in Portugal
Our week stay at villa cortina was truly unforgettable. The views from the villa are magnificent. 25min from Faro airport with easy access to the motorway which is very convenient to visit all the Algarve amazing beaches. Spacious and meticulously clean, large bedrooms all with splendid views of either the garden or beautiful countryside/sea. The outdoor space is large yet very private, the nearest house was a farm far enough away that we never felt overlooked and all we could hear was the sound of birds and occasional cock-a-doodle-doo from a rooster, heavenly! There was plenty to do and see, nearest beach is 20mins drive, or if wish to relax at the villa there is a stunning pool, addictive putting green, darts, table tennis, outdoor barbecue area. We will definitely be back!

superb holiday destination
Splendid property away from the maddening crowd but close to everything Beautiful finished villa in excellent taste and all most modern
mod coms. Very cleverly laid out and beautiful views all-round.
Wonderful laid out gardens with self irrigation on time clock and wonderful garden furniture. I made a very small comment about the sun loungers to the owner who had delivered brand new ones the next day. A wonderful experience and we will be booking again for next year.

You can't get better!
The location and view are quite simply magical. My family and I have been staying at Villa Cortina since 1997. We take three to four weeks a year.
It sits high with outstanding views across Loule, the coast and beyond, and it is therefore very private and very peaceful.
The house and gardens have been improved enormously over the years with the overall feeling of home rather than just another holiday let.
Avoid the glitz of Vale do Lobo and other areas, they are not a patch on this!
It is perfect for my sister and me, but equally for larger families with children. I have recommended it to many of my friends whose sentiments are the same.

Wonderful property in a wonderful spot
We have stayed at the Villa Cortina quite a few times now, and return each year to enjoy its comforts and its peaceful location.
The villa is light and airy and comfortably furnished. There's everything you need in the kitchen. Outside the villa, down beside the pool, and in the spacious gardens, there are tables and chairs and sunbeds aplenty. There's a fine working BBQ, and huge parasols for shade when eating by the pool.
The villa is wonderfully situated in a quiet rural area and is surrounded by olive groves.There are great views looking down the valley towards the coast, twinkling lights and the lighthouse flashing at night. There is very little traffic here, occasionally we've seen a shepherd with a herd of sheep and goats on the lane.
Loule is a 10 minute drive away, large Continente supermarket there. Almancil is 20 minutes drive, we like the Apolonia supermarket here and there are plenty of restaurants around Almancil and closer to Val de Lobo on the coast. The nearest village, Parragil, is just two minutes down the road and boasts a corner shop for everyday essentials too.
