even in winter the property is lovely with space to walk around and a lot of history. the rooms have fireplaces and it’s very cozy.

Breakfast was delicious. Effort made to accommodate changes in set menu. Server very pleasant. Location was lovely and off the beaten path. Room was cozy and spacious enough. Communication ahead of time was very helpful.
Uneven pathways could use better lighting. Parking could use lines. Not enough space when we returned from dinner and it was very dark so hard to see where to park.

As we drove up to the property we were impressed with it's look.
When we went up to the front door for the property to check in, it was all being remodeled. We were greeted by a large dog barking scarily at us. The rooms door would not close and therefore the lock would not work either. The bathroom tub was rusted from what looked like years of a dripping faucet, the faucet was still dripping. I don't know about any of the other bedrooms but the "jefferson" looked as if it had not been remodeled and was not in any state to be used by any guests. An old building is what we expected, but not one in the shape this one was and for the $ they were charging for the rental. The owner said he was booked up and could not give us another room but offered us a bottle of wine. I told him we would not be staying at the Inn and Tavern at Meander and requested that he find us other accommodations, because we did not know where we were. He did find a place for us to stay about 5 minutes down the road, which was very nice, so what could have been a horrible night, turned into a pleasant one, although not at the Inn and Tavern at Meander.

Staff were attentive (particularly Tyler, host) and dinner meals were excellent. Property attractive from a distance
Property and grounds were not well maintained. Furniture in Queens cottage was worn, stained, and poorly decorated/furnished. Appeared to have too few staff to meet guests needs. There was no "tavern" or drinks available accept at dinner so BYOB. There really weren't walking trails and there were they were well kept ... I asked about this. Owner/investors need to upgrade property.

The Inn at Meander is a magical place, it is beautiful, full of history and charm and the location is perfect. The food prepared by chef Jeane itslef is worth the trip but everything about the experience was amazing. We'll definitley go back in Fall and Winter, but if you leave nearby I definitely recommend a dinner there or a weekend gateway.

Breakfast was very good and staff very attentive. Loved the history of the property and the proximity to Montpelier and Monticello.
Bed was uncomfortable and needs to be updated.

It’s an amazing piece of property. You can feel the history when you walk in. The dining area allows for comfortable indoor and outdoor table seating as well as picnic style seating with waiter service located on their wonderful lawn. The lawn is situated such that all outdoor dining areas you are able to view the amazing sunset over the Shenandoah mountain range. The bedrooms are spacious well designed and comfortable. I would recommend they improve the directional signs for the trail walk.
There’s really nothing that I didn’t like about the property. Like I mentioned above, The trail walk needs to be better Marc particularly the entrance from the driveway and a sign directing you to the cornfield. I wasn’t sure to follow the property perimeter on the inside or outside of the fence and ended up on the inside of the fence in the brush area and got lost. But I found my way back. I would also recommend that you add some coasters to protect your wooden furniture and maybe doing a trail map of people could carry with them.

Excellent food, caring people and lovely house.
You are here to take your time. Meaning the efficiency is not the best point

The staff at The Inn was so thoughtful and caring. We would definitely encourage guests to order a dinner while staying at the Inn as Jenae (General Manager) is an excellent chef. The staff was what made our stay so nice.

We loved every aspect of our stay. We were wholly impressed with the staff, and the accommodations. The dinner was nothing short of fantastic. We enjoyed our visit so much that we are planning a return visit in the fall. I cannot recommend this place more highly! I’m only sorry that we hadn’t discovered this B&B sooner!
I didn’t like that our stay had to come to an end…

Our hosts were warm and friendly. We were arriving after hours and were there to greet us and get us anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend the Inn and look forward to returning for a longer stay.

The inn and tavern were excellent. Jenae was more than welcoming and made us feel at home. Bowdie was helpful too. :) The suite exceeded our expectations and our stay was very comfortable. The atmosphere was quaint and relaxing making for a perfect getaway weekend. Breakfast was delicious as was our dinners at the tavern. We enjoyed conversing with the other guests. We would definitely recommend Meander to our friends.
Absolutely nothing. Keep up the great work! Your property was very accommodating.

super nice staff, wonderful food and very comfy bed

The food is locally sourced and fresh. The staff and inn keepers accommodated our meals requests and prepared food outside their regular menu.
Given the age of the manor, the rooms require some maintenance

The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely kind and courteous.
The location is wonderful and the place has so much potential.
The cottage smelled like mold and lacked ventilation.
The gas fireplace didn’t work. The windows were covered with dead flies.
The bed sheets were stained.
The main house needs so much maintenance. Too many items to list.

Breakfast was great.
The only good part of the stay
Poor lighting, no tv, no air circulation, beds were good
