About this house rental

Thanks for viewing our listing! We have lots of things to do right here at the property, and we love families! We have a high chair and a Pak 'n Play with a good mattress, along with books and games for kids. In the summertime we have a pontoon boat for rent* as well as pedal boats, and kayaks that come with the rental along with cornhole, horseshoes, and more.

We are in residence upstairs, but your space is completely private with a separate entrance and a locked door on the stairs.

The lake is your backyard, with an easy walk down to the cove, and the entire lower level of our home has been renovated to accommodate guests.

We have a private dock in a secluded cove. You can rent our 24-foot pontoon boat for $225 a day during season (May through mid-September, please check for availability as we also rent it to other area cabins).

Enjoy a large great room with vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace, a theater room, pool table, dart board, dining area and a small kitchenette. There is more seating outside on a huge covered patio, with a grill, dining table and chairs. Large backyard leads down to the cove. We have kayaks, a bonfire pit, corn hole and horseshoes.

THINGS TO NOTE:
We are in residence upstairs, but you will have complete privacy with a separate entrance and a locked door on the stairs to the upper level. We frequently never meet or even see our guests.

The "kitchenette" is a small former wet bar that has been outfitted with a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, convection burner, crock pot and griddle. There is no oven or stove, but there is a gas grill outside with a side burner for pasta, rice, or anything you would cook on a stove.

Lake Nottely is a TVA "working" lake, which means there is a big draw-down in the Fall. Our cove is usually full from mid-April through September. They begin to drop the water after Labor Day.

We have a washer and dryer upstairs you are welcome to use. We plan to install one downstairs eventually, hopefully by next year.

Unfortunately, we can't accept pets, but Nottely Oaks Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is approximately a mile down the road. They will happily board your furry friends, and release them for daytime adventures, to be returned later on. If you're interested in this option, just look them up. I would happily post their website and phone number, but VRBO won't let me.

Margie and Doug are excellent hosts. We enjoyed our weekend away from home and would definitely like to return. We all enjoyed spending time on the boat and morning coffee on the patio. The kids really liked the darts, pool table and movie room.

Loved this place. For all the amenities there, you can’t beat the price! The hosts were very nice and Doug helped my husband while he was fixing a leaking brake line. The kitchenette is small but well stocked. We had a Coleman stove so we did some of our cooking outside. We are already looking at when we can return!

We made a last-minute booking and the owners were very accommodating to make sure we had everything we need. The home was perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children). We had a great time on the pontoon boat. The owners are very nice people and we are blessed to have found them.

We had a wonderful time at this location. It was a little tuff to find at first in the dark. We enjoyed the movie theater the most it was a comfortable spot to rest and enjoy the peace. The owners where very helpful with all the amenities. Will definitely be going back with the family and spouse in the summer to enjoy the boat they have on the property.

This was my second stay at this beautiful home. The host is the most accommodating person. I brought my 8 month old granddaughter and they made sure she had everything she needed for the stay, I can’t recommend staying with them highly enough! If your thinking about staying here DO IT!!

Can’t say enough about how accommodating and attentive the hosts were to insure the best stay possible. The accommodations were sparkling clean, spacious and more than adequate. All the little thoughtful touches throughout didn’t go unnoticed. The use of the boat and the fresh lake water swimming was the highlight of the week. We have passed this gem of a rental spot on to all we know and we’ll definitely be back. Reserve it now before it’s no longer Georgia’s best kept secret.

The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. We brought our boat and was able to use their dock and Doug brought my husband to and from lake access. I can’t drive the boat or his truck so that helped so much. We are planning another trip for next year. You can’t go wrong with this rental.

We had a great stay - we loved renting the pontoon boat, using the kayaks, and that the outdoor patio had room for us to keep our inflatable paddle boards stored when we weren't using them. When it rained, we had the pool table and movie room (along with books and games) to entertain us. We had never rented a space in someone's home so we weren't sure what to expect but Doug and Margie were the perfect hosts - they were there when you needed them but invisible otherwise. We will definitely return. Thank you Doug and Margie!

My daughter and I rented this property for the week and it was amazing! The hosts were welcoming and gracious, but never intrusive. The living space was much larger than expected and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of outdoor space for eating or just lounging by the lake. Loved the rainy day amenities like the movie room, pool table, darts, and covered patio. Easy drive to numerous hiking opportunities. Will definitely rent here again!

The property is a lower level apartment in a private home, but we were never disturbed by noise above us. Our host was wonderful. Living space was large and comfortable. Bedrooms were nice size. It took about 15-20 minutes to get to any place to dine or shop. Wish that was closer. Otherwise, it was a very nice trip.

My mom and I booked on short notice when we decided to go to Blairsville. The accommodations were really nice. We enjoyed our stay! Margie and Doug were great communicators. We hope to get back sometime again when the weather is warmer. It is a great place for a family or group of friends. There are so many choices for entertainment.
