Loved the tropical setting and close beach and trolley access. The rental was a great value and the hostess was easy to communicate with. The house has a perfect layout for our group. The washer and dryer were a huge plus.
The guest bathroom shower didn't drain properly. We had to keep plunging it. The sleeper sofa could be more comfortable. The pool was too cool to enjoy.

Nice, private and quiet area.
Perfect for me . I love it.

Walk to the beach and to get to the ocean is way too long if you have difficulty to walk. We thought the "private beach" was right there. The sofa bed mattress needs to be replaced.

This is my first time ever writing a bad review , however it is my duty letting others know how Booking.com and the management team handled this situation.
Unfortunately we scheduled a trip to Sarasota without knowing there will be a storm heading our way. By the time we found out we reached out to Booking.com as well as the management team to try to reschedule our trip, knowing that the projected path of the storm included the whole west coast. The answer we first got was that there was nothing going on in the area, so , basically we were not able to change dates. We, at this point, were not looking for a refund but the possibility of keeping the reservation for a different time, but since Sarasota was not on the direct path they were not allowed us to that courtesy.
Unfortunately we made it to the property without knowing what was happening there, Booking.com or the management team never reached out to inform us that the county had shut off running water even though this information was released the previous day, was on TV, social media and spread to everyone that owns or managed a property in the affected areas. We got stuck in a property with no running water, no access out of the island just because Booking.com and the property management team never forwarded this life saving information. We could have found a different place to stay with the basic services if Booking or the team would have been responsible but they choose not to.
Maintenance on the property didn't meet our expectations either and a few gallons of water would have made a huge difference. Dealing with booking.com and their team, especially Gabriella has been our worst experience ever with a short rental company .We will never use it again.

it was a quiet location close to many restaurants
the bedding was old, light bulbs missing, not enough toilet paper, no refund for one night not used with adequate notification

The location was excellent! Very clean and comfortable house.
Garbage man and landscaper came the first morning we were there when we were trying to sleep. That was not a big deal though

Property was poorly maintained. Owner had excuse for everything that was broken down. If she couldn’t afford to maintain ( although she was making enough money off the property) she shouldn’t be renting .
Cockroaches, broken toilet, broken slider, dated property, air conditioner so noisy hard to sleep. Owner was non compliant with all requests. Had pest control in the day before our arrival and did not disclose that until we complained of multiple roach sitings in bedrooms and kitchen.
Don’t know how we could have damaged this property since it was so rundown

Pleasant Hosts that gave great restaurant recommendations

Paradise! An absolutely wonderful place to spend a week at the beach. All the comforts of home. Well cleaned upon arrival. Nothing can beat stepping out your bedroom sliding door into your very own tropical pool area. We enjoyed the birds visiting us everyday as we enjoyed having the pool all to ourselves. Would definitely return if it ever becomes available.
Crossing the busy road to get to the beach was a little scary. Other than that, we loved everything.

The location and size of the villa. Having a pool right off your room is amazing

Wonderful location, very quiet and one block from trolley stop.

We did not expect nor receive breakfast. We cooked our own meals.
Coffee maker needs replacement. The pot does not fit the machine and caused unnecessary and hot spills.

Great location, a short walk to the beach. Nice private pool. They have a wagon, umbrella, and chairs for the beach. Nice to have a washer/dryer that I could throw in quick load of laundry in the evening. Mia is very responsive on any concerns we had.
The master bedroom was warmer then the remainder of the house. There is a ceiling fan in the room, but a regular fan in the room would’ve been nice. Not a deal breaker by no means just more of a preference!! When we first arrived there was a smell of urine in the main bath but we sprayed air freshener and it seemed to go away.

Great place & location. Just needs a little update.
Trying to get ahold of the owner. Doesn't respond same day as they are out of the county.

The unit itself was clean but it was very outdated. It had plenty of towels but didn’t have enough wash cloths.
The pool in our opinion was not clean. It had a bunch of leaves on the bottom of the pool and stuff floating on top of the water and when we called about it she told us that the pool only gets cleaned on Friday and she didn’t send anyone to check it so we we had to clean the pool ourselves everyday before we got in it. We was not happy about that!

Property conveniently located with access to bay and ocean
Beach patrol from Alohi Kai and the neighboring facility kept asking us to move. The lease listing provided beach access but once we got there we were requested to move. This happened to others who were accessing from derby bay. It was an unnecessary frustration and should be corrected.

Awesome in every respect!!!
Nothing, everything was perfect

nice area, beach amenities
Pool was green until 2 days prior to leaving, master bath drained very slowly.

Location was good. Pool was good. Plenty of room.
The whole place needs a remodel. Colors, carpet, and tile are outdated. The electric system has problems including dangerous plugs, goofy placed light switches and cords. One toilet chain was held together by a twisty tie that broke. A chair leg came off when we were just sitting down on the chair.

Private setting on quiet street
Interior is very dated and dark, furniture old and uncomfortable.
1.0
the furniture was very uncomfortable very dated, there were bugs and construction going on right next door and across from us constantly from the time we arrived we were not told we had to share the grill that was right in front of our bedroom or were we told we had to share a very small pool with others, we had guests for a couple of weeks they left to get a hotel because of the terrible beds ! I felt like I threw money out the window.also no television in the spare rooms alaround a bad experience.

The location was perfect!. Beautiful place. Definitely enjoyed our stay!
The front door was a little tricky to lock, but it did lock.

The location was very lovely. I used to own a condo in Siesta Key so I was familiar with the location when I selected the place.
The owners could spend more money on the essentials as well as the amenities! Half of the electrical outlets did not function. There were ants and cockroaches, so the owners apparently did not use a pest control service. There was barely a trickle of water in the sink in the master bath. There were no light bulbs in the lamps. The mattresses were old and lumpy. Television chanels were limited. WiFi signal was weak and inadequate. I was overcharged for an extra night- instead of $250, I was charged $790!!! Unfortunately, this substandard property has caused me to have a low opinion of Booking.com!

loved the location and close proximity to the beach. the pool was great for the kids.
It was a bit dark and the lighting was weird

Can't beat the location and the setting around the property. quiet beautiful dead end right across the street from SK beach. The place is spacious and clean, the host is very responsive. I bounced around a few airbnb and this is a true gem. Highly recommended!

THe location to the beach and the onsite pool were awesome.
There were bugs everywhere. We picked them up from bedrooms and bathrooms all week.

1. I like that the owner provided us new beach chairs & umbrella when I asked if they're available there.
2. The house is large, looks nice inside & has nice view of the bay.
3. The house has a nice kitchen, washing & drying machine.
4. Good supply of towels.
5. Close to beach
1. We arrived at 11:30 pm & it took us about 20 minutes to look for the house number. We called & nobody responded. I know it's later but it was scary as we thought we got scammed & have no place to stay over night. We couldn't find the house number in the dark because the house number is not in front of the house but on the side & it is covered in the dark. I wish the owner put the house number in front of the house instead on the side.
2. The house looks old, messy & dirty in front. At the right corner in front of the house there is some old water pooled on the cement with an old rotten beach chair & fishing rods on top. Plants cover the entrance into the house. I believe that's the reason why our two 4 & 10 year old daughters got multiple mosquito bites all over their body, under the eyes, ears, neck, hands & legs. They have to wear long pants & long sleeves inside the house to avoid mosquito bite. My 10 year old daughter didn't want to go inside the house when it gets dark outside as she scared of getting mosquito bites.
3. There are worms inside the house. My husband & I picked up in average 5 worms a day inside the house. These worms would curl their body & pretend to die when you touch them. I believe they're harmless but they look disgusting inside the house, especially inside the bathroom & bedroom. We stayed at this house 6 nights. I'm just so afraid that the worm would go into our bed. In my last night staying in the house I got a nightmare about the worm as I picked them up so many times.
4. One chair in the dining room got a broken leg. I imagine an elderly sit on & get fall, that wouldn't a nice picture.
5. The house doesn't have a good smell, especially the common bathroom. The owner doesn't charge cleaning fee & maybe that's why the house doesn't get cleaned properly. I have to avoid using that bathroom the whole time we stay in the house.

Location: in a cute little cul-de-sac located right by the bay.
Beach is across the street you have to walk through private properties and go through a busy street.
Numerous things- this post is misleading when reading the listing it sounds like you are located right on the beach- no it’s a good walk away you have to cross a busy street. The backyard is shared with 2 other houses. The pool was very unkept and two days before we left someone came to clean it. The grill was old and rusted and did not have propane.
The house was very dirty- especially the bathroom which has mold. One of the bathrooms vent is messed up so be prepared to open up a window. One of the doors to a linen closet in the bathroom is broken as well as a door in one of the bedrooms.
The shower drains do not work
There were no batteries in any of the remotes and one of the TVs did not work.
We found tons of dog hair (I know it’s dog friendly house but try to clean up a bit)
We had centipedes everywhere from the bathroom to the bed.
There were tons of roaches in the bedroom with the twin beds.
The window in that same room has a whole above it.
There were multiple furniture items that were broken
One of the oven knobs was missing
The fishing poles that were provided were all broken
Side note: I do not know if the house had bed bugs but multiple people that were in the house had small little tiny bites (could also be mosquitoes) but do not look like it to me.
