About this apartment rental
The apartment is very very central, and has been renovated in Feb 2018. It’s a minute walk from the beach and all the best eateries, these are where the locals themselves go and so proof that they have the most fresh and best quality food. In addition in this area the "tapas" (local food specialities) are free with every drink, even a tiny glass of cold beer will give you a free tapa, a delicious and cheap way of eating out.
Almuñecar is in the Costa Tropical which has a micro climate with average of 325 days a year sunshine.
Behind our building begins the Old Town with its narrow streets, white houses with flower pots and hidden squares with benches where to seat and relax, there are many beaches nearby too that are ideal for relaxing, sunbathing or dining.
Almunecar is also of great cultural and historical interest, with many local sites to visit like its castle, roman and fenitian ruins and aqueducts. Also its got a botanical park and a bird park plus a superb night life.
Also many local activities such as PADI, diving, horseriding, sailing, swimming, walking, birdwatching, skiing, and golf. Please do a search of Almuñecar for more activities.
The public transport is very good the buses are frequent and there is a bus station in Almunecar with fast coaches to all parts of Spain. Granada is less than hour away by bus and less by car, and the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevadas a little over an hours drive. Malaga town and airport one hour by bus and less by car.
The apartment comprises:
Three bedrooms and a sunny terrace with garden furniture, it also has a large living room with a flat screen TV and DVD player, a dining room table that sits 8 persons, a kitchen complete with all you might need and even crockery for a special occasion.
The bathroom has a bath, shower, WC, a bidet shower and a basin, also plenty of drawers and shelves where to place your things.
Aside from these there is a patio with a washing machine and washing basin and a couple of lines to hang your clothes to dry. There is also an entrance hall.
The bedrooms have all their wardrobes and beds, all the bedrooms can be prepared either as large double beds or as 2 single beds (this is our default if no specifications).
The building has 2 elevators and its entrance hall is very big with marble every where, very cool in a hot day.
There is air conditioning.

We have tiered the price of this 3 bedroom apartment to make it affordable for those who only need 1 bedroom.
Due to Homeaway system for prices being based in the number of persons coming, and not the number of bedrooms required we have to explain the following:
Two persons price is for 1 bedroom.
Three persons price is for 2 bedrooms.
Five persons price is for 3 bedrooms.
This is because we are charged ourselves for the preparation of extra rooms, linens, towels ( launderette bills), and utility bills ( heating or cooling the extra rooms).
So if you are 2 persons but not a couple, you need to put 3 persons to get the second bedroom prepared. Thanks for your understanding.

The description states that apartment comprises, "Three bedrooms and a sunny terrace ...". This may change in some months but in Feb-March, the apt does NOT have a sunny terrace. It is a cold, fully shaded balcony overlooking a busy street. The sun did get on the balcony for maybe 45 minutes around 11:30am-12:15ish. The apt itself was fine. Definitely a great location. It would be small for 6 people but totally suitable for 2-4 people.

If you like to be in the middle of the bars and restaurants then you will love this property, beach is at the end of the street. Fabulous terrace to sit and relax, comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe space, only thing I would improve on is to have air conditioning in the bedrooms however there are fans, we loved it here

The place was even more beautiful than the pictures! Wonderful art everywhere, a lot of space and a beautiful common area and balcony. In walking distance of beautiful restaurants and the market, as well as beaches. The closest entry point to a beach is one made of rocks, but if you walk a little in either direction, you can find sand. The rocks themselves are beautiful though and you might get lost collecting some of the colourful rocks :)

The apartment is situated in a great location. With the beach and the old town with in a block. Plenty of amenities are located close by. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped to cook an entire meal. The only area that could use some addressing is the reception book. If the owners give more details to the use of amenities it would be helpful. It sounds as if there is a property management change recently and the book needs to be updated to reflect that.

Super spot by the beach
A wonderful apartment with a great deck. Amazing that in a small space there were five beds that were perfect for us. Great living room in which to watch the Women's World Cup and relax, deck to sit and read, bedrooms to sleep. Super location. Great restaurants and gelato nearby. 7 minute walk to bus station to go explore. We totally loved this place.

Charmante Wohnung zentral gelegen
Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und hat einem grossen möblierten Balkon zur Strasse. Der Strand ist um die Ecke, die Bars / Restaurants liegen direkt vor der Haustür. Zentraler geht es nicht. Man sollte demnach beachten, dass man direkt am lauten spanischen Leben teil nimmt. Uns hat es sehr gefallen. Der Kontakt mit Carmen, der Vermieterin, ist sehr freundlich. Wenn wir wieder in Almuñecar sind, mieten wir gern wieder diese Wohnung.

Appartement was verzorgd en schoon, handig dat sleutel in sleutelbox lag, het ligt aan weg waar sochtends vroeg al veel bedrijvigheid was...
Uitzicht op weg.
Ligt in wooncomplex dus niet geschikt voor luidruchtig gezelschap..
Positief Loopafstand restaurants en strand. Leuke tijd gehad.

Semester i Almunecar
Vi är mycket nöjda med vistelsen i Almunecar. Almunecar som stad är toppen! Läget på lägenheten var väldigt central och mycket nära stranden. Almunecar är en mycket bra semesterort, vi kan varmt rekommendera alla att åka hit! Det enda negativa med lägenheten var att det var väldigt lyhört från gatan i vissa utav rummen, i övrigt hade lägenheten en mycket bra planlösning och allt som behövdes fanns i lägenheten.

Excellent location & well provided tasteful place!
The property was just renovated! we got to enjoy all the new perks like the beautiful floor tiles, and we liked very much the wall murals. The terrace was a great place where to have breakfast and we LOVED the location, with terraced restaurants and bars, the old town and the beach all very nearby.
I definitely would recommend it.

Trevlig lägenhet och fint bemötande!
En trevlig bostad med nära gångavstånd till stranden, gamla stadsdelen och butiker.
Rymligt och väl möblerat! Vi var fem vuxna och en baby som bodde i lägenheten och det fungerade väldigt bra. Det var rent och fint, sängarna bäddade och hyresvärdarna var mycket tillmötesgående med att ordna så att vi kunde få nyckel trots att vi anlände mitt i natten. Köket var väl utrustat, så också badrummet.
Stort matsalsbord och bekväma soffor. En rymlig balkong gjorde frukostarna och kvällsumgänget till en härlig upplevelse.
På det hela taget är vi mycket nöjda!

Central and well equipped
We had a lovely stay in this apartment in Almunecar. It is located in the town and yet a stones throw from a beautiful beach.
The apartment was clean and well equipped and felt like a home from home not just a sterile holiday rental.
It is also above an ice cream shop which couldn't have been more exciting for our daughters.
I would recommend this apartment for a stay in Almunecar.

From the start communication was fantastic. It is a great seaside town that has much to offer and we found other affangments.
Upon arrival major construction was in the lobby with no elevator working. The smell of burnt concrete and dust was all the way up the stair well. Plus the noise was over the top. We walked by 3 days in a row past the lobby as we stayed near and each day the lobby was in construction.
The apartment was the owners mothers apatment and it still has 50 year old furniture. My wife 1st sat in a chair that the seat fell through and her arm was pinched by the leaves of 50 year old table as it was not secure.
Pictures are misleading. Dining table is cramped up against the living room furniture that was possibly the most uncomfortable we have experienced.
3rd floor patio looks inviting as well, except furniture was old and some of it splinter and set aside to not use. Because of road below the dirt and dust on furniture that you can use was not inviting. Picture frames are old and one was hanging that looked like it had fallen to the floor a few times. On side table an old clock with no hands sat next to a bunch if other old items. Drapes in living room were dirty from the dust and grime that comes up from the street. The security blinds that are on every window were filthy, I wiped my fingers across and they were black from dust. My wife walked out just heart broke.
Walked into bathroom and a used bar of soap was in the tub. Tom the owner stated they placed 25k Euro of Improvments and I could not tell where that was applied except for the low level sofa that literally has 4x4 wood legs.
In communication with Tom expressing my feelings of the apartment his own words were. "You are paying ** Euros per night for the apartment, I think your expectations are unrealistic"
This is grandma's apartment that they want to rent when they are not occupying it. I use this and similar sites because we like the comfort of a home. Every other place we have visited the home is well appointed and set up much better
We found a very nice place just blocks away within minutes and transferred our bags. The cost was actually lower and facility was clean and neat.
My last comment to Tom was I felt I was owed some sort of refund. Never got a reply back.
