I hosted a home party for friends and family and we loved the room.

The unit is between the Outrigger hotel and the Army Museum and is directly on the beach. The views are fabulous. The unit comes equipped with two starter packs of coffee (one regular and one decaf), soap, shampoo, trash bags and laundry detergent- all of the basic stuff you would find in a hotel. Overall, the unit is spacious. That said, although the unit is supposed to hold 6 people, it is somewhat cramped with that many people. The unit would be perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. The second bedroom (2 twin beds) is immediately off of the living room but a foldable divider can be used for more privacy. The master bedroom also has a good view and can be closed off from the rest of the unit. The Wi-Fi and water pressure are good. If you have a rental car during your stay, there is a charge for parking of about $42/day. Although the building itself is over 60 years old, it is well maintained and the unit has been updated.

We had a great stay! Easy access to the beach and rentals. We enjoyed the swimming and paddle boarding right outside the building, tons of turtles just hanging out. Very special, more private beach location (our vibe), but easy walking distance to the busier beaches and shopping.

This place has amazing views off the balcony! It’s clean and lots of room. Large kitchen. Very enjoyable stay!

We loved our stay ! Truly. We traveled with our two teen kids and stayed for 8 nights. You really are right on the beach.
The condo -The views from the balconies were just amazing. The condo was clean, well cared for and was plenty of space for our family of 4. The 2nd bedroom is in the living room, with a room divider to close it off. The living room, when the divider was closed, didn't feel small and worked fine. The couch/chairs in living room were comfortable. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen was nice and roomy. We loved having 2 bathrooms, and washer/dryer! Water pressure in showers was awesome! The balconies were just amazing. We spent most nights, after sunset, hanging on the front balcony, listening to the waves crash onto the shore. The building provides, and replenishes, some items for you. Trash bags, laundry soap, dishwasher pods, dish soap and toilet paper. Parking is $35 a day, underground.
The area - We loved the area. You can walk everywhere! There is so much around you. Anything you might want to do or need. The Steak Shake, in the building on the beach front was so good. Loads of shopping and eating, both very upscale or more affordable is within walking distance. Renting chairs/umbrella on the beachside (in building) was awesome. You can also rent surf boards, get lessons, rent kayaks, snorkel gear and more. The beach is rocky, but so inviting and warm. Friday night fireworks was great. We had a few small things come up, which were addressed right away, and Mike, the manager, was more than friendly and right on top of things.
Overall-We loved it! We just loved the location, building, and being right on the beach. The staff was wonderful, friendly and attentive. Just pack your bags and GO!

The property was everything it was supposed to be. The views were spectactular and the condo was very clean. The only thing we could have suggested was a few more pots and pans, maybe some nonstick pans as well.

This unit is spectacular. Full ocean views everywhere you look. Access to the beach is great, just a few steps away. Unit was updated and clean. We cook a lot so we would have like the kitchen to have more cookware, but we managed. We would definitely visit this unit again.

Beautiful location
Right on beach. In walking distance to stores and restaurants. We found out there were entertainers and artist near the Royal Shopping mall at night. Had a great time when we went. The tours we scheduled picked us up within a block and a half of the building. You left the back of the building and you were in the ocean. Beautiful views. The front office staff were very friendly and helpful. When we asked questions of anyone they were very helpful. Would stay again if we went to O’hau
Only problem we had was getting our trash picked up. Sometimes they forgot to pick it up.

Great Experience
Perfect location - right on the beach with amazing views. The furniture / amenities in the property are all relatively new. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Background: Over the past several years, I have used VRBO many times to reserve my stays at Castle Shore Waikiki in various units throughout the building. Usually I communicate directly with the unit owner or a management company. Unit #500 is managed directly by Castle Shore Resorts so they took over the booking.
Positives: The view was spectacular! No question. Great sunsets, directly on swimming beach and very close to restaurants and shopping. We felt very safe there. The Castle Shore employees were friendly, helpful and professional. Because the rental was being managed by the resort, amenities such as soaps, trash bags, toilet paper, etc were provided on an as needed basis by calling the front desk. Water pressure in the showers, toilets, sinks and washing machine was very strong.
Negatives (in my opinion): The inside of the unit looked NOTHING like the photos shown in their material. To my knowledge, the photos still have not been updated. I called the front desk immediately to express my disappointment and my feeling that the unit had been misrepresented. I also felt that I had been overcharged. The unit appeared to me to be very bland, no colorful bedding, furnishings or decorations. The furnishings seemed to me to be what one would expect in a two star hotel. Other than the pull outs, the beds are all twin size which can be pushed together for a queen. Because I did not want to be held responsible for prior damage, I called the front desk the first three days as I discovered issues, one of which was severe water damage in the ‘sunroom’ (shown as a colorful bedroom in photos). I stopped reporting my findings because I felt like I was becoming a pest even though there were still little things like fan/AC remotes not working properly, loose toilet paper holder and loose handle on the only frying pan. Chaise lounge in photos on side lanai have been replaced with six very uncomfortable straight back iron chairs with no cushions. Also the side lanai and the front lanai are not connected so are not ‘wraparound’.
Summary: I would encourage Castle Shore to thoroughly go through the unit to check, tighten and repair prior to guests arrival, update the photos on all their rental sites to accurately reflect the inside unit and fully disclose problems in the unit that are pending repairs. We did have a good time and the outside views outweighed the inside unit issues but I still wish I had been given accurate info.

Location is perfect. Property is AT the beach -- NOT "near" the beach. Panoramic view of Waikiki Beach and the sound of crashing surf. Balconies allow you to sit outside and take in the beauty. Sliding doors all over, so you can have the ocean air throughout. The BUILDING is older, but this unit is 100% modern remodeled, and perfectly positioned at the end of the building overlooking the water. Also, I loved the high-pressure showers, which we have not been able to have here in California for a long time.

The condo was great although a little tired, the carpet and couch could do with a clean. The position was excellent, the view was amazing, proximity to everything was good, especially the beach. I would definitely stay in this Condo again. Louise from Sydney
