We needed a place to sleep mostly and do a little work late evening. The Wi-Fi was slooooow. Beds comfortable enough, coffee maker, and dishes provided. Lots of towels. Body wash in the shower was watered down, but everything functioned. Little TV and a sofa too.

I enjoyed my time and look forward to coming back.
It is a short (midwest bias) drive to the sand dunes and we even made our way to Mesa Verde and Sante Fe, it's a good half way point for a lot of travel.
The shower needs work as it won't create a bath as the drain wont close and if you take a shower half of your water still comes out of the tub spout.
Im worried about the water quality as the Goat cabin has a built in filter on their sink but cabin 6 doesn't.
Also spiders claimed every open bag of snacks we had.
Leave a bag open? Spiders.
Sit on the couch? Spiders in your shirt.
Open the woodfire stove in the GOAT cabin? Unleash a horde of spiders into the kitchen.
While this looks like a really negative review I really enjoyed my time here and would gladly do so again.

place is clean and cute. beds are comfy. location is great. only con was they fo not have airconditioning. it gets hot at night We followed instructions on how to keep the room cool but did not really work One night the temp was at 82F inside. windows were open. and on our first full day, we had a problem with the water. We had to take a bath using icy water.

We did not like that it was more of a motel setup with no air conditioning. I left a day early. Beautiful scenery well furnished, very clean. Just over priced for the room.

Summary:
1) Good enough if you aren’t picky
2) Terrible customer service by Vacasa
My family of five plus our dog stayed here for four nights in early July. We were able to book it just a few days before our trip.
This two bedroom kitchenette is fine if you just need a place to sleep while enjoying the area and you didn’t plan ahead long enough to have better options. The biggest highlight of our stay was that the woman washing towels was very friendly and helpful when I approached her with a question. The kitchen has working appliances and plenty of cookware, utensils, and plates. I found the bed to be comfortable.
Otherwise…
This is misleadingly advertised as a cabin nestled in nature. It is NOT a cabin. It is an overpriced kitchenette in a rundown motor lodge. It should be rented as a motel room, not a VRBO.
The decor, bathroom, and security are seriously outdated. They provide one metal key that you access from a lock box by the door. None of these things bother me if the price is right, but they charge too much for what you get. This is not a place where you want to hang out and relax, especially if you have five or six in your party. But we were busy every day experiencing the spectacular area, so we were only in the kitchenette in the morning and at night.
Our stay ended up being fine overall. But I was shocked by the horrible customer service by Vacasa.
Initial email communication about check in was fine. But when we had concerns the first night about the property, I tried to contact Vacasa.
* There is no onsite host, office, or customer service.
* The two phone numbers they provide inform you that they are experiencing delays.
* I tried to email Lea, the “front-desk agent for Vacasa in the Southwest Colorado area.” Earlier that day when I had emailed her to add a pet to our party, she responded in 6 minutes that she would charge the fee to our card on file. But when I emailed her my concerns about the room, it took her 36 hours and a reminder email to reply, “I will pass this along to the management and see what she can do for you.” Five hours later I emailed that nobody had contacted me yet, but I never heard back from Lea.
* Their text agent provided inaccurate information, telling me they wouldn’t refill the shower gel dispenser, but that “you can buy from the nearest market.”
I was surprised that Vacasa was so unresponsive.

As soon as I stepped into the cabin I was reminded of the lake cabin that belonged to my grandparents. It wasn’t the same layout but had the same feeling from my childhood. It was comfortable enough. I would choose to stay again. The price was reasonable. One suggestion is to put a mirror on the wall above the desk so someone can be getting ready there when someone else is occupying the bathroom.

Perfect spot to stay for the mountains
South fork is situated at the cross roads between the San Luis Valley, wolf Creek and the San Juan Mountains. We stayed there Memorial Day weekend at hiked several days in the mountains - the cabin was perfect - and a quiet and comfortable place to rest.

The room was clean, plenty of towels, etc. close to restaurants, ski shops, grocery stores, and wolf creek ski area. Access to the room was easy.

The bathroom window was very drafty. Perhaps some plastic covering would help.

Have stayed here at least half a dozen times. It’s usually the best deal in town. Very nice big rooms with new super comfortable beds. Everything is there to prepare meals and always very clean.

Our group stayed for a hunting trip so didn’t spend much time in the room. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean and as advertised. Would definitely stay again!

This is not a cabin or condo. It is a (mildly) renovated 1960s motor lodge kitchenette unit. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen functional with a small desk and a love seat to watch TV. Adequate for three guys who spent most of their time fishing. The unit was close to grocery, gas, liquor store restaurants and fly shop.
However, for a VRBO / VACASA property, I was disappointed with a few things:
- both communal hot tubs were dirty and inoperable
- no A/C in the units
- the bedroom windows look like the original 1960s windows and were difficult to open and close (the window by the front door is new).
- tiles on the bathroom floor are cracked
- the metal carpet molding in the kitchen is missing a section and it was easy to scratch your foot on the exposed metal edge.
- there were two (old and worn) gas grills to shared use by all the units. The one we used did not cook evenly
- only a few of the units had seats outside under the awning
Just a few hundred bucks spent on little things per unit would make these accomodations 5-star

We stayed here for 5 days with our family of 5. There was plenty of room for us all. The beds are comfortable and the water pressure is great! Both things that are very important to us! It’s the perfect place to stay if you will be out adventuring everyday like we were.
