We enjoyed our stay in the historical cottage. The home was clean and there were access to a lot of amenities in both the kitchen and bathroom (spices, shampoos/conditioners). Host was easy to get a hold of and answered any questions quickly. We loved the view off the front patio. Given good weather, we were able to eat meals and relax on the patio, watch the planes land, etc. We would definitely like to rent again the next time we are in Kent.

Old school house that is updated but still brings one back to the 1930s. Thank you for sharing such a special place.

We stayed in this home for a week for a general area vacation. It’s in a great central location to downtown / Mt. Rainier etc. Restaurants and shopping are close as well. The house is cute with a lot of charm. It was clean and well stocked, and the homeowner was very friendly and responsive. The massage chair is other worldly after a long day out! We would definitely stay here again!

The home was just as beautiful as posted. It is an older home with lots of charm and beautiful grounds. Lovely views of the city and mountains. Lots of privacy and easy drive into Seattle. We would definitely stay here again.

Normally I don't leave a bad review but I had to for this one so it doesn't happen to anyone else.Online the pictures look great who ever took those pictures did a awesome job. But sadly once you get to the house is not in a good neighborhood to start with, when you walk up to the doors the cameras say a message "You are currently being recorded" every time you walk past it. When you walk inside it smells like a cat litter box or something of assorts. There was a dirty rolled up carpet in the driveway where you park, a random tire in the front yard, hair in the bathrooms floor/tub, the refrigerator was dirty. Just all a round not a good stay couldn't feel comfortable because of the house and the area. When we left she wanted to charge us more money which later we found out was for a dog fee that we did forget to add when we completed the registration for the stay when you go to pay for it"that was our bad and we did pay her" she was really rude about it especially when we told her about the cleanliness of the house which she then accused our dog of peeing on the rug which she didn't and complained about our dog shedding which she did do a little bit when we where there. When I looked for a house I looked for a pet friendly so if there is bhair, that is part of having dogs. Out of all of the houses we have stayed at this by far the worst one and am sad to even be writing about it.

The host was perfect in every way. The house is a flawless example of a pacific northwest mid-century home. What an absolutely lovely, historic place.

It's even more beautiful than the pictures, and more spacious than it looks in photos. We appreciated so many luxurious touches--the world's softest towels and sheets, ultra comfortable beds, sharp knives for cooking and a very well-stocked kitchen. Our kids loved playing the games from the cabinet, and the views were truly beautiful.

We enjoyed staying here, wonderful view of the valley and sunsets, Comfortable rooms. Only thing that was bothersome was the sugar ants in the kitchen. Other than that, would definitely stay here again.

Great view!
Nice place to stay, had a few issues, nothing major. Nothing to call the host about, but worth noting.
* You should bring your own towels, the towels are very thin and don't dry well, and are still wet 24 hours later.
* Shower is very small, so if you are a big person like me, you will struggle.
* Found a beer bottle behind the couch, that's why the lower rating on cleanliness.
* The neighborhood is ok, saw several halfway houses near by, so make sure to lock the doors, we did not have any issues.
* The host is very nice, no complaints there.
Overall a nice house in a convenient location. Could use a few upgrades, but it was very cute.

Wonderful Property
We were here for 5 weeks for the birth of our Granddaughter. It is a Great Location...Close to grocery shopping and restaurants. The beds are very comfortable. The house is very clean and spacious. Cindy was a wonderful hostess and very available in a timely manner if she is needed. The built in dressers in all of the bedrooms was so nice to put stuff away for toddlers. The view is beautiful and it was nice to have the working barbecue. I think anyone would enjoy staying in this quaint older home.It is well stocked with plenty of shampoo and conditioner. There was even laundry soap down in the laundry area. Quiet neighborhood. It was perfect for us! Thank you for everything Cindy! Gayle from Calif.

Clean and comfy.
Cindy's place was perfect. A very well maintained old home with cute decor and comfy beds.
We didn't get to use the front patio & bbq, but it did have a great view at night with all the city lights. Next time we will.
The upstairs does get a little warm during the day, but cools off during the night.
Cindy is very responsive and answers any questions you may have.
Thanks Cindy!

Beautiful home!
Located 30 min from airport and easy to find in GPS. Older 1930 home with lots of character, beautifully decorated, clean and well stocked. Appliances are very nice and easy to use. No ac but fans in all bedrooms and in living room are. Dining room is spacious to fit 8 people. Deck has nice views and parking is comfortable for at least 2 cars next to house. Steps to deck were being replaced as we came in but fixed them after. Yard is not very manicured but Roses, lavender and succulents are beautiful. Area is not the best for walking but supermarket is close driving distance. Good stay with all are basic needs covered in this charming place.

Old but quaint
Home is very old but has character, bedrooms could definitely use some decor on the walls, it felt very plain but overall it’s a cute house. Location is ok, neighborhood has very steep streets. Cindy was quick to respond to my questions. Heads up, the housekeeper shows up at 10:50 so be ready to exit by 11:00!

Worked great for extended stay with kids.
Bedding, bathrooms towels, and kitchen posts, and, dishes and silverware were great along with the washer and dryer. Needs towel racks for upper bathroom AND GET RID OF OUTLET SAFETY FEATURE, PLUS MAKE ALL ELECTRICAL OUTLETS THE THREE PRONG type. It was great to have the coffee maker, washer, dryer, microwave, and excellent appliance's and top quality towels. Minor bummer was having the yard clean up being done while we were still there. Overall tough with the kids and all the place worked great for us. A plus was that there were many cooking spices etc. left that we used and an ample supply of paper towels, very welcome.. The only minor complaint is that I had to fix the storage shelves for the pots and pans. The floors were creaky in AM, sometimes good. There were a couple of warmer days and the kids a banded the upstairs rooms and made beds in front of the TV. Overall we we were very happy with the house.

Great house!
This was a perfect house for what we needed for the week. It sleeps a lot of people or gives a few (we had 4) space to spread out. It was great to have a kitchen (had everything we needed), washer and dryer, comfortable beds, and TV with extra things like Amazon and YouTube. Coming from the south, I was a little surprised when I realized there was no central AC, but between provided tower fans and keeping the windows open, we were fine. The owner was very responsive and helpful with any questions or problems we had. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Charming house with nice views.
We had a very nice stay. Cindy was very responsive to communication. We had a minor issue with the water, Cindy worked hard to get it resolved quickly. The home is convenient to access with easy access to public transportation and grocery stores, etc. Like most places in Seattle, the home doesn’t have air conditioning, but there are fans throughout the house. Unless you are there during a rare Seattle area heatwave, like we were, the fans are more than adequate. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent this house again.

Loved this charming home
Loved this very charming home, with all the comforts of home. There is deck on the front of the house where we sat each evening and enjoyed the beautiful view. On a clear day you can see Mt. Rainer from Kent. Any communications we had with Cindy, she was very attentive to our needs. My family absolutely loved this home!!! When in the Seattle area again, we will be staying here!!

Wonderful property with plenty of ammenities
The property was perfect for our trip to Seattle. 5 adults and 1 child easily had enough room in this house. House has newly updated kitchen, plenty of seating in the dinning and living room. The newly attached front deck with the patio table and chairs were perfect for drinking coffee in the morning. The views are great from the hill. House was easy to get to from the airport and within 15 minute drive to the link, sounder is less than a mile down the hill. Would recommend this property to anyone.
