Fantastic location, ideal for those who are looking for a quiet stay at the heart of Tuscany, with wonderful service, the breakfast, the restaurant, and all the amenities.

The pool at Badia di Pomio was an absolute gem. Surrounded by lush greenery and captivating landscapes, it provided the perfect oasis for relaxation and tranquility. Whether we were unwinding by the poolside with a refreshing drink or taking a refreshing dip on a sunny day, the serene ambiance added an extra layer of serenity to our stay. The pool area was immaculately maintained, and we couldn't resist spending ample time there, soaking in the breathtaking views and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It truly was a highlight of our experience at Badia di Pomio.

Our experience was 5-star. The property is relaxing, intimate and extremely well maintained. The staff is incredibly kind, engaging and exudes a passion for hospitality that puts to shame the Park Hyatt’s, 4 Seasons and Ritz Carlton’s of the world. The food and wine are outstanding, especially the breakfast and dinner. The food and beverage options you get by the pool are also fantastic.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. Other than I hope it never becomes too busy because selfishly I would want to have the whole place to ourselves. Even though other guests were staying there, you always felt like you had the place to yourself. It’s hard to describe, but once you stay here you’ll know exactly what I mean.

The property was faultless, the staff we incredible and the resort was the perfect place to unwind.

A little bit of paradise on the hills and just 15 min drive to Arezzo. The interior is understated modern elegance and tastefully done and in keeping with the history of the building. Lovely pool area and all the staff were very professional and helpful.

An exceptional experience worthy of a 5-star hotel, the room and the restaurant are perfect, the calm is so relaxing, the staff is very caring, dedication to Mario who deserves the term "Super Mario", we will come back to enjoy the Badia Di Pomaio.

What was not to like? The property was one of the most beautiful places that I’ve ever seen and experienced. Everything was meticulous, and made even more special by how lovely and accommodating every single staff member was. if I could give this more than 10 stars, I would.
would be shocked if anyone finds anything negative

Perfectly designed for a pleasant stay. An oasis for rest, eat, think and enjoy memorable time!.
We stay for three nights. Near Arezzo, this cozy hotel has the perfect combination of a good restaurant, charming people taking care of you without excess, the finest rural ambience, quietness, best wine selection…
a must
saying good bye ;)

The entire experience was imaging. One of the top hotels in Tuscany. Beautiful architecture and design in historic property; room was extremely well thought out and convenient; great facilities; excellent breakfast and very good restaurant; very quiet location but convenient to Arezzo.
Literally nothing.

Beautifully manicured grounds, lovely view, a handsome contemporary renovation, spacious bathroom facilities.
As odd as it may sound, the guests were stiff and remote, in contrast to the cheerful, helpful staff.

This hotel is incredible. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful with anything you need during your stay. We only had dinner in the hotel once and they offered some great recommendations for restaurants in town, as well as booking us a taxi to take us there and pick us up.
Our room was beautiful and large, with a very comfortable bed and very clean. It also smelled amazing! The grounds themselves are stunning and it's a perfect place to watch the sunset with a good glass of red in your hand. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and they always seem to time it perfectly for when you are having breakfast / at dinner. Breakfast was very good. They provided us with a jar of honey on our departure which I thought was a lovely touch.
Whilst all the staff members were very helpful, I feel like the hotel could do with one more member of wait staff. We often had to go searching for staff to order something. This also meant that service by the pool was often quite slow.
I also would have really enjoyed a more casual lunch menu. Whilst all of the food was delicious, I just wanted to have a casual simple green salad / caprese for lunch instead of a smoke filled dome with burrata and 3 vine tomatoes when sitting around a pool!

This hotel is incredible! The location on the hills overlooking Arezzo is magic, with the best sunsets. The attention to detail is superb, from artisanal ceramic dishes, to freshly picked flowers, everything was absolutely delightful!
The staff is friendly and professional, they really care for the customers and make you feel special. They are very attentive but with the perfect balance of respecting your privacy.
The restaurant has an amazing chef that won a Michelin star. We had two nights a tasting menu and was exceptional! Thoroughly recommend it!
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like besides having to say goodbye!

What a wonderful place. Modern, boutiquish, designerish. Comfortable, clean. Well managed and extremely competent, friendly and motivated team. Don’t go there…we want the place exclusively for ourselves… 😉!

What is not to like about this wonderful place. From the moment you approach the location the scenery is breathtaking. The property is beautifully designed, so much attention to detail in the most sophisticated way. The staff was really friendly and very accommodating, from Marco the Sommelier that handled every single one of our meals with knowledge and care to Nadia with her fun remarks and great suggestions for what to do locally, to Davide in the reception. We truly wished we had booked more days at this property. The near by Arezzo is charming and it’s unique vintage and antique market really worth a visit in the first Sunday of every month. I already miss the passion fruit Aperol Spritz’s in the garden overlooking the landscape.

Everything about Badia di Pomaio is exceptional - from the grounds and our room to the food and the attention to detail. But perhaps the best thing about our stay was the staff - in particular, Mario and Nadia, who were so incredibly kind, attentive and warm (Mario always recommended fantastic wine!). The front desk staff were also phenomenal. They planned and arranged for a car, a scenic lunch in nearby Pienza and a winery visit for my partner's birthday. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement.
We spent a week at the property and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. The wine, cocktail and food offerings are quite robust (and delicious) and there was more than enough to do on-site to keep you occupied. The grounds, stunning and tranquil, are perched up above Arezzo just far enough to provide absolute peace and quiet without feeling too rural. This afforded us the luxury of popping down to 'town' for a meal, and similarly, we were within quite close proximity of other tourist destinations (Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona) for day trips.
Our stay made for the perfect honeymoon. We can't recommend it highly enough.
Nothing, everything was excellent.

Really beautiful boutique hotel (14 rooms) in a tastefully renovated 17th century monastery located in the hills outside Arezzo. Compliments to the architect! Great breakfast with a good variety of choices. Lunch and dinner also great food but the menu could provide a bit more variety when staying longer. Loved the wine recommendations - they have a pretty well sorted cellar. Service was impeccable at all times.
Just a few really minor things: there could be a few more signs on the tiny, steep road going up there, it's a bit hard to find the first time. And I find it a bit odd to charge for extras at breakfast, either it's included or not - guests paying 600+ EUR a night would likely not notice if it's 20 EUR more, but being charged a couple bucks extra for eggs benedict is weird in such a hotel. Another little pet peeve of mine was the light in the room which could only be turned on and off more or less as a whole.

Nice former monastery, renovated very recently. Was impressed by the decór and by the combination of colors. Every piece of decór is design and artisanal.
The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is great and the selection of wines is frankly impressive. The pool has a stunning view over the city and the valley and the water is always comfortably warm.
Additional complements go to the orthopedic mattresses. Truly great place to relax and recharge.

Really nothing!

The property is very nice, especially the outside area. Very beautiful. Restaurant is delicious and staff very friendly.
The choice of furniture by the pool and the room decoration could be improved, it has too much a Swedish taste. It would be perfect outside of that.

Badia Di Pomaio is an old abbey converted into a beautiful, serene boutique hotel at the highest point looking over Arezzo.
Attention to details, exquisite taste, beautiful landscape, and amazing service welcome you to this special property.
Everyone at the hotel goes out of his or her way to make your stay memorable one.
Thank you Mario, Davide, Francesca, and Elena for your warm and genuine hospitality!

Magnificent in so many ways. I wish I never had to leave. The staff - Mario, Nadia, Davide, and everyone else - make you feel so comfortable.
There is absolutely nothing to dislike. I can’t wait to return!

We have stayed in many beautiful hotels, but Badia di Pomaio really outdid them all. The accommodation itself is warm, modern and peaceful. The restaurant is very creative, using as much local produce as possible. Due to covid-19, there was no breakfast buffet, but they solved that beautifully with offering local specialities at your table. The staff is amazing, they will do anything for you. They are all dedicated, passionate and caring, from housekeeping to reception, to waitering and chefs!
Thank you all of you at Pomaio for an exceptional holiday, we hope to come back soon!
