The place is great, Monique is a kind and helpful host, rooms are very nice and spacious, the boat is very well laid out, and has a top deck where you can sit in the summer. It is located in the city center of old Rotterdam with parking, restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We have stayed there twice and look forward to come back.

Beautiful location
Great place to stay with family
We really enjoyed our visit

Location. The boat. Monique is very nice. The whole overall experience was great.

The location was brillant. Right in the centre of the city. It was totally unique accommodation.
A boat built in the 1930s and not much has changed in the wheelhouse where we stayed
Nothing really but just to say if your mobility is in any way impaired. This is not the place for you. Its small tight spaces with a climb down into bathroom. I'm 6 foot and my head was almost hitting roof so not for anyone 6'2 or more

The houseboat was great, totally loved the experience. Location was perfect for us, near Maritime Museum.
Loved everything, but you should be into staying on a boat with a cozy bedroom and climbing down a little ladder to the bathroom.
4.6
Absolutely charming little houseboat in a great location -- a unique experience! It was nice to have a sunny separate seating/ dining area up on deck. The bedrooms below deck were so cozy, and the decor had an old-school charm. Potential guests should be aware that to get to the bathroom, you have to climb down a short ladder. I thought this was part of the charm, but older people with mobility issues may find this aspect of the houseboat a bit challenging.
I would only suggest that the TV be oriented directly in front of the loveseat/sofa, for more comfortable viewing.

spacious, really nice owner and just a good overall place

The good environment, we have so nice stay in the boat! It’s so cool that we love it!
There’s no big problem

What a delightful place. Very central location, and the host was incredibly helpful. Cozy, comfortable. The host provided cooking essentials such as oil. Also tea, coffee. All cooking facilities provided.
Despite being very central, it was peaceful and I spent three very restful nights here.
Handy as well for the water taxis, which I would highly recommend.
If you have mobility problems, this may not be suitable, however one would not expect a houseboat to be fully accessible. Be aware that this will not be suitable if you cannot climb down the ladder to the bathroom. I repeat however that this should be assumed in a houseboat. However, having met the host in person I'm sure she would be happy to talk through before you commit.

Absolute top location in the middle of the historic port of Rotterdam.
Everything can be reached on foot.
Water taxi stop in the immediate vicinity.
Not recommended for older people or physically restricted people. Anyone who has booked the steering house should know:
The toilet and the shower are very difficult to reach. You have to crawl backwards through a kitchen cupboard and climb a steep ladder to reach the bathroom. Blue spots on the shin inclusive. For young adventurers, certainly just the thing.

A perfect host who gave us a great welcome, showing us the features of our accommodation and answering our questions fully.
We really enjoyed staying in the traditional "owner's" quarters which are a generous size, beautiful polished timber throughout and excellently furnished.
Of course the bathroom is what you expect on a boat - a bit tricky to get into ...
The location is excellent - in the very centre of Rotterdam and so many sights and eateries within walking distance.
Nothing - We loved it all

Monique is a great host and makes you feel welcome from the first minute. The boat is exceptional. What a cosy place! A comfy living room under deck and a great outdoor terrace where you can enjoy the sights of the city. Everything in walking distance. We had a great stay!

it was a very unique place and in such a fabulous location. The host was very kind and welcoming. I would love to stay here again!

Everything was fantastic! The beds were comfy and everything we needed. Patio deck was nice to sit on. Host was wonderful. Would highly recommended
All was great

We had the superior apartment. it was the perfect size for our group of six. The outside lounge is awesome. You can have a nice swim in the canal there. Beds were comfortable and everything well equipped. Very kind host. The location couldn‘t be better.

perfect location , great host and a really special time - loved the easy going nature of Monique and her special way of making us fell welcome and at home - will definitely come back
nothing - everything was perfect!!

Cental location. Works nice for larger groups.
The bathroom in the smaller unit needs some flexibility.
4.6
The owner was laid back and friendly but also very professional in giving checking in instructions and expectations.
Nothing really, a great host and property
4.6
Everything! It met our expectations and beyond!
On hot days the temperature grows high really quickly even with the fans available inside the cabin but our host made her best to accommodate us
4.6
I had the captain’s quarters. very quirky and small. but very comfortable.
great location for city and water taxis. watching the water traffic.
wouldn’t have been ok if I couldn’t get up and down ladders.
4.6
Location was great, very roomy accommodation. Lovely showers and comfy beds if a little narrow. Kitchen was well equipped.
Some areas looked a little tired, sofa has seen better days. Fridge needs replacing as door is loose and thermostat is on the way out. Tv didn't work very well.
Bedding wasn't the best.
4.6
The characterful original features, the sense of history, the modern conventional additions in the kitchen area, the superb water pressure & temperature, the magnificent location & Monique's local knowledge. I would stay again in a heartbeat & recommend to anybody without hesitation.
Nothing at all
4.6
Amazing activities near by, vessel 11 for dinner and watching the hotTugs. Slept very well on the boat.

We loved our stay here! Clean and very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The location was great, walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and Rotterdam attractions. It was a 10 minute walk to the waterbus to Kinderdjike. Monique was a wonderful host, fun to talk with and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again. I liked that coffee, tea, salt, pepper and olive oil were available for our use, toiletries, too. We also enjoyed watching the canal activity.
We stayed in the middle section of the boat which had 2 bedrooms and baths and a great seating area up top to sit and watch the world go by. The living and dining areas were comfortable with enough seating for 2 couples or a family with children.
Nothing
4.6
Excellent location, proactive owner of the place who lived in the end of the boat as well. And just an overall great experience living on a houseboat with a "rooftop" where one could enjoy a drink with a view.
Nothing comes to mind. Taxi's generally found it although some couldnt or wouldnt that not a big problem due to the good location of the boat!
4.6
Stayed there for a weekend with our family (2 kids of 7 and 9) and we loved it. The location was exceptional in the center of Rotterdam, the owner really friendly and helpful. What made it so special was the charm of living in a boat, we loved it! Everything we needed was there.
