About this villa rental
From a family summer home to an American film set!
Il Limoneto degli Angeli offers its guests an ancient eighteenth-century tenement, modernly renovated, equipped with an enchanting lemon garden, with a panoramic view of the town of Minori and the Mediterranean Sea. The interiors are furnished with artistic Vietri majolica floors, and are equipped with all the necessary comforts for a relaxing stay.
Our beloved garden is home to timeless calm, authentic scents and the magic of the Amalfi Coast thanks to its renowned lemons cultivated with love and dedication by our family for 20 years. Sitting and relaxing in the garden, pampered by the silence of nature and the evocative panorama, will be for our guests a pure and authentic way to fully enjoy their Amalfi experience.
In March 2019 we dealt with a group of "special" guests, welcoming an entire film crew that chose the Limoneto as a set in which to set the film "In Keaton's lemon garden". This ambitious project, centered on a tormented love story between two different cultures in the shadow of our lemons, will be nominated for 2 of the most important independent overseas festivals!
Il Limoneto can be reached on foot in just a few minutes from the town center. On the Minori seafront there is the main bus stop and the port where the ferries leave: our guests can explore the whole Coast by land and by sea! Public transport is also well connected with Sorrento, Salerno, Naples and Pompeii.
The entrance road to Limoneto is located at a local panoramic bus / shuttle stop in service for the whole day.
Minori is a strategic choice for a stay on the Amalfi Coast: it is in its full center and retains the charm of authenticity not contaminated by tourist overcrowding. Small and picturesque, it is also renowned as the "City of Taste" for the excellence of catering and local gastronomic proposals.

We loved the garden at Limoneto. It was so relaxing to sit under the lemon trees and look out at the Mediterranean Sea. It seem to be a bit of a hike up the hill, but once we discovered the secret stairs going down, it only took five minutes to get to the beach. It’s advisable to take the Golf Cart service up the hill though. There are lots of stairs leading to the villa, but by the third day, we were used to the stairs and actually enjoyed the exercise. Mario is a great host and provided lots of useful contacts for a day of voting and for drivers. This is a lovely property owned by a lovely family.

We had a lovely stay in the house. The lemon garden is a dream. The host is very welcoming and helpful. Despite our late arrival we were greated with cake. Very enjoyable.

This gorgeous property exceeded our expectations! We immediately fell in love! Mario and his family were the most gracious hosts. Every single time I sent Mario a message to ask questions, I received a response in minutes. The lemon grove on the property was beautiful and it smelled so lovely. My teenage daughter fell in love with the property’s cat, Eduardo. I seriously considered sending my husband and two teenage daughters back to the US and staying a couple of weeks alone at the property because it broke my heart to have to leave this amazing place.

Amazing views, clean, stocked with items for meals and coffee/tea. Greeted at the home by the family along with homemade limoncello from their own lemons. This drink was fantastic! They helped us with a porter and taxi service. Used What’s app which was convenient. Hospitality was amazing! Everyone should visit! Wonderful family.

Located on the side of a hill, overlooking Minori and the sea is this gorgeous little apartment with a grand terrace.
We spent 12 days here, mornings on the terrace eating breakfast and evening drinks before dinner. Hosts were welcoming and available and full of surprises. The village small and we soon were on buon giorno greetings with the locals. Great restaurants and pastry cafes and ferry access to all the other Amalfi coast towns made visiting the area easy. Coffee, tea and staples were complimentary at the Limonata. So made Day 1 easy to settle in. Loved it to bits.

We had a wonderful stay here. Minori is a perfect base for a family holiday on the amalfi coast- far less busy and touristy than amalfi itself, with good restaurants and bars and a legendary cake shop. The welcome we received from Mario and his family at Limoneto degli angeli was delightful -and the house itself is very comfortable and cool - especially welcome on a hot day. We loved being able to sit on the shady terrace under the lemons during the hottest parts of the day, with its stunning sea view. perfect.

If you have spent hours pouring over where to stay in the Amalfi coast like we did, searching for a little slice of heaven to take your family to, then Villa Limoneta is it. Words fail to describe the beauty and magic of this place.
We are seasoned travellers (travelling with 2 kids under 9 and one senior) accustomed to luxury and/or humble stays. The home was humble but very much loved which you could easily see by the attention and care paid by the host. You have every modern amenity (even a/c and washer that you don’t typically expect to see in Italy and it was the perfect location / town to see everything on the coast without the tourist crowds.
We arrived and were warmly greeted by the Hosts (Mario and family) with gifts. Communication was always prompt, informative and friendly and the apartment was very clean with comfortable beds and adequate space.
I should mention the stairs; for older seniors in the heat wave we experienced (36) it may be a bit of a challenge but the kids and us loved it and the pay off at the top was well worth it. This villa is set high on top of the mountainside amidst an ancient lemon tree grove with views of the ocean. To say it is surreal is an understatement. Every chance we got, we had wine with lemons hanging over our heads, scenting the ocean breeze. Just incredible.
My little girl nicknamed this villa Lemontopia; I second that and add heaven. We will surely be back. Grazie mille Mario and Family!

The location is perfect! Mario and his family were gracious hosts. They are generous and so incredibly helpful. The house is on the stairs to Ravello, the lemon trees are so beautiful, and the view is breathtaking. We visited other towns, but Minori is where the real charm is. If we ever find ourselves back in Minori, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!

Wow! We were welcomed with open arms and loved the home baked goods. We even received a personal trip to the grocery store. The property is so charming with many thoughtful touches throughout. Perfect location, close to the stairs to Ravello, lemon walk to Maiori, the beach and many delicious restaurants. The lemon garden overlooking the town and coast was a perfect way to start and end each day. Minori’s quieter port makes it the best place to ferry hop along the coast. We are looking forward to our return…soon. Gene & Claudia

We had a great stay here. Mario and his family were so friendly and welcoming. The house is comfy and clean. Although the two twin bedrooms are small, our adult children and dad (granddad) managed just fine.
Definitely take a taxi to the house (to the stairs directed by host). The house is a short distance from the town centre, which makes for pleasant walk after dinner etc, but would have been difficult to drag luggage if we had arrived on the ferry.
The garden at the house makes the stay even more enjoyable. As did the homemade lemonade and other welcoming treats from the host.
And really don’t miss the outdoor shower. It is truly refreshing after a long day of walking and swimming and eating.

Our family had an amazing week stay at the limitato house. The house has everything you need and I cannot say enough about the hospitality Mario and his family showed us. We were gifted with a can of tomatoes from their garden, spaghetti, olive oil, cofee, cakes, and they brought us some homemade limoncello. The lemon garden is beautiful and our kids enjoyed picking the lemons to make fresh lemonade. In the afternoons we would sit out in the garden overlooking the amazing coast!
Minori is a wonderful city and staying at the limitato house made our vacation amazing! Thank you Mario

Fantastic apartment in the quiet town of Minori. Great location with easy access to paths, trails, ferries and public transportation. Practically in the middle of the Amalfi Coast, it was easy and quick to get to Positano and Salerno, and everything in between....and up. Minori lacks the " tourists" making a nice quiet place without lines and noise. Perfect place to relax and recharge. Mario and his family were the best hosts we have met.

We really enjoyed our stay at the limoneto and Minori. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, Mario's father even picked us upfrom the bus station. They welcomed us with homemade lemonade and fruits and vegetables from their garden. One evening, when we came home, we found delicous cakes on our doorsteps. The
appartment has everything you need to cook and relax. The absolute Highlight ist the terrace with the lemontrees and a wonderful view over the sea. We even enjoyed walking up the stairs after eating in one of the very good restaurants. So we all had wonderful holidays and are already dreaming of coming back again!

Limoneto was a fabulous place to stay for our family vacation. The 5 of us stayed their for 2 weeks, and while we left for a bit to visit family in Avellino, we used our Minori home base to relax and go off on day trips. We met both Mario and his family, wonderful people who made us feel at home. The house was exactly what we were looking for--a wonderful patio to enjoy morning coffee and an evening drink for the end of the day. The rooms were clean and inviting, we even took advantage of the outdoor shower on a few occasions. The downtown Minori area had enough to meet our needs, yet feel like the small town that it is. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't return someday.

We had a delightful stay at Limoneto Degli Angeli. We were given thorough, clear travel directions and a friendly welcome over Whatsapp from our host Mario. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Mea and Ludovica, mother and sister of Mario. The place had everything we needed, including beach and bath towels and cooking supplies. Most importantly, we were in awe of the beautiful lemon garden.
Mario kept in touch throughout our stay, helping us with everything we needed and answering any questions we had. We were also left a guide to the house's history and recommendations for food in the area, put together by Mario himself.
Minori is a great place to experience the quiet beauty of the Amalfi coast while still experiencing so much culture and food. Staying at Limoneto degli Angeli was a uniquely wonderful experience. Mario and his family were the friendliest hosts and we felt so well cared for. We were even brought fresh croissants for breakfast by Mea. We strongly recommend staying at Limoneto!

Beautiful space
If you want to sip your tea under a ceiling of lemons hanging from their trees, and walk into the wonderful town of Minori for fabulous meals (at restaurants recommended by the host), then this is the place for you.

Beautiful views of Minori
Lovely old property located above Minori accessed by steps which definitely keep you fit. Lovely terrace (shared) with stunning lemon trees and seating to enjoy views particularly In warmer days . Sadly it was too chilly during our April stay to benefit from this in the evenings but we did take advantage on our last morning enjoying family time there .The house inside is quite small for 2 adults and 2 large teenage boys - I would say there is too much furniture to enjoy the space. The front door brings you straight into main bedroom which was strange . The room is nice but there is no black-out curtain which meant the outside light shone into the room which made falling asleep difficult if you are not used to light . The bathroom is very small and dated and shower quite restrictive but it was ok for our short stay . The hosts are onsite and very welcoming and pleasant and on our last day they kindly brought us croissants and some homemade limoncello which were delicious . The house is a great location for exploring Amalfi and we loved Minouri with its lovely bars and restaurants and not as crowded as other places on Amalfi .

Charming lemon grove terrace overlooking Minori
We had a wonderful stay at "Il Limoneto." It was our 1st visit to the Amalfi Coast, and we could not have gotten luckier with the accommodation. Minori is a smaller, quainter town compared to Positano, and being at the heart of where the lemons are grown, it just felt perfect. Our host, Mario, took amazing care of us, even staying in tight communication when we hit a landslide en route and helping us navigate alternative routes. He made excellent recommendations on where to eat and what to do (we highly recommend Sal de Riso - we traveled 2 more weeks in Italy and never found better pizza and pastries). Being able to have coffee and a nightcap each evening on the veranda within the lemon grove was priceless. It was amazing. If we come back, we would stay there again.

A magical place to stay, beneath the lemon trees. Walking in was like coming home, we didn’t want to leave the breathtaking view or the tranquility of just being there.

Loved our stay in the Limoneto
We had a wonderful stay in Mario’s place- the lemon garden was magical, Minori charming and still authentic. Mario really went out if his way to ensure we had a great stay. We enjoyed meeting his parents and even got to experience the lemon harvest. Location was perfect for us, and we even managed to persuade the kids to walk up twice to Ravello. Highly recommended!

Minori Paradise
The host welcomed us with a lemon salad and a friendly smile. Mario helped us with travel arrangements and was always communicating before and during or stay. On departure the hosts met us with coffee and crescents. The location was perfect - far enough from the village to feel private and to appreciate the stairs to the Villages of Minori and Ravello.

Lemon Garden on Minori
Our three nights in Minori were wonderful. Our hosts met us and transported us up to the flat. It was beautifully appointed, clean and spacious. They gave us a tour of their gardens which overlook the sea.
We walked the trail from Minori to Ravello, a highlight of our entire trip! We found Minori to be peaceful and wonderful for strolling around before and after dinner!
We would definitely stay again. Much thanks to our very kind hosts.

Our Wonderful Stay at Limonetto
We had a wonderful stay here. Mario had great communication before we arrived. When we did arrive we were met by Mario’s parents who showed us where to park for €10 a day (just round the corner). We then went and spent time with Marios parents in the apartment. They showed us around the lemon garden, showed us round the apartment and where everything was kept. The greeted us with home made lemonade and also let us try some typical Italian lemon salad. We met them a few times throughout our stay and they were so loving and kind. Couldn’t fault the place. There are lots of steps but this is typical for the Amalfi Coast. We walked to the next town Maiori and spent a day at the beach there (although there is one in Minori also). We took the bus to Amalfi, (10-15mins) and the from there, took the bus to Ravello (15mins) total cost €2.20. We then walked down from Ravello to Minori and the path literally went past Limonetto front door. It was gorgeous views. One night we cooked dinner and ate out on the terrace, it was lovely! Very peaceful place and would stay at Limonetto again.

Worth the climb!
We spent three nights in this special place. The home is airy, clean and comfortable. The lemon garden is magical. It was so relaxing to sit in this beautiful place and enjoy a glass of wine while looking at the Mediterranean. We could even hear the waves high above town. The house is close to the beach, shops and restaurants in town, but you'll have to climb a lot of steps to get there - and back. However, it's a great way to work off all of the delicious food you'll be eating while you're there. We really liked that Minori isn't as crowded with tourists as the other towns, and its location makes it easy to visit those towns by ferry -- or by a 1,000+ steps climb to beautiful Ravello. Just a quick mention that the lemon garden and outdoor area is shared with the guests in the next apartment. This wasn't an issue for us at all, but might be for some people. Mario was great to communicate with -- answered lots of questions before and during our stay. While we didn't meet Mario in person, his lovely parents met us at check-in and helped with our bags, and on our last morning, they brought us delicious pastries, gave us a bag of their beautiful lemons, and drove us and our luggage to the ferry. It was a memorable visit in a beautiful place with friendly people.

Lemon heaven
The property was lovely! The master bedroom was nicely furnished. The second bedroom was small with bunk beds but worked fine for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked and had new appliances. Living room was comfortable and bathroom had all we needed but we enjoyed the outdoor shower most days. A/C worked well. The apartment was renovated from an old bakery and the renovation left aspects visible. It was really a great apartment. But the best part was the lemon grove that covered the patio! We enjoyed the picnic table and swing chair and wish we had more days to sit among the lemons!

Sweet Lemon Terrace Villa
We stayed the entire month of April 2019 in this lovely villa with an extraordinary lemon terrace. We really loved this place and would go back anytime! It has two bedroom and a full kitchen and large living area. You have to climb quite a few stairs to get up to the great view this place has (with a few wires in the way) but it is quiet and the neighbors are very nice. Mario and his family were very kind to us during our whole stay. Mario picked us up when we arrived and drove us up the hill as far as possible and then helped us with our luggage up the stairs. His parents gave us artichokes from their garden, a cake for Easter, and even their own homemade lemoncello! Mario also arranged for our transfer to the Naples airport when it was time to go. They are truly super hosts! We did have a few issues with lighting in the kitchen and bathroom. It can be dim when trying to cook or to shave. The Amalfi Coast is probably the most beautiful coast on earth and we loved exploring it. Ravello is an hour’s climb up about 1000 stairs from right next to the villa, but well worth it! We loved Minori because it is not as touristy as some of the other towns on the Amalfi coast, but is a little gem. It is great to catch the little city minibus up to the tower and then walk the Lemon Trail over to Maiori. Not difficult and really beautiful views! We also appreciated that it was fairly easy to get to other amazing spots by public transportation such as the incredible church in Amalfi, Positano by boat, the wonderful ceramics town of Vietri sul Mare, Salerno and its incredible duomo and castle, the Greek archeological site of Paestum, Pompeii, Herculeneum, and of course Napoli. Yes, the busses can be crowded and so much so that a couple of times the bus just passed by without stopping because it was so full. Yes, the winding road along the cliffs of Amalfi can be frustratingly full of cars. Yes, the Italians drive a bit crazy. But, on the whole, it was a wonderful experience and one we would highly recommend. And, if you like fancy pastries, well, Minori is the place for you becaise Italy’s most famous pastry chef, Sal de Riso, is from Minori and has a restaurant there. Also, we loved a couple of other restaurants in Minori: Giardinniello for great food, especially the pizza, and a place the locals and visitors both love is La Botte. We loved our month in Minori and we hope you can experience the Amalfi magic for yourself.

L'interno dell'appartamento è spazioso, pulito e ben arredato.

Beautiful property with amazing views
A few friends and I (there were five of us total) stayed here for a weekend in June while studying abroad in Rome. The owners were very friendly, and even drove us from the bus stop to the house. The house itself affords great views over the ocean and the surrounding mountains, and is a ten minute walk from the beach. In order to reach the house, you have to climb a lot of stairs, but I felt that the stairs actually added to the character of the place; it felt like you were walking down a secret path to a little slice of heaven. However, by far the best feature of the house is the lemon garden, which is reminiscent of a fairy tale. The entire thing is incredibly peaceful and charming, and I would readily recommend this house to anyone looking for the perfect idyllic Amalfi getaway.
