Slice of Americana, forgotten, tucked in the hills of Middle Tennessee. Amenities as promised - lake view WIFI easy parking. Nature. There are dining options within 5-10 miles.
Forlorn accommodations. It's for a good cause - the place is a foster home facility, and admits it needs a spruce-up. Hope the fix ups are completed soon. Unfortunately, not much walking around the property ... it's all up and down.

Beautiful location on a lake in TN hills.
All in our party had full sized refrigerators, but us - we had a college dorm size. And, the bathroom fan was annoyingly loud; also better lighting in the bathroom would be welcome.

Great view of the lake. Very quiet and clean.
Not a great breakfast.

Setting was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and modern.
The drive up the hill was a little scary. There was no housekeeping service, but im sure if we needed anything like towels, staff would have been very responsive.

What a special place! So beautiful and peaceful. This was much more than a place to spend a night. It was a chance to really rest, heal, and be in an incredible natural environment. The staff was very helpful. The room was very clean. My only regret is that I didn't book time to be there longer. If I can return again at some point I will.

The location was beautiful. Staff was very friendly.
Bathroom fan was noisy. Balconies and other outside areas could use some paint.

The Retreat Campus was beautiful. The grounds were well groomed.
The room was clean and adequate.
Our biggest complaint was that the description on Booking.com did not match what the retreat center staff was telling us. When we brought this to the staff's attention - no one seemed to care. In our confirmation note it said " You can cancel for free until 4 days before arrival. You'll be charged the total price of the reservation if you cancel in the 4 days before arrival. " The Retreat Center called us and told us that their cancellation policy was 8 days before arrival and wanted to charge our credit card on that day. Also, on our Booking.com confirmation note is said
"Dinner $20 per person, per night". When I asked about it, the staff didn't know anything about it -- and they were not interested in investigating any of the advertised discrepancies.
The staff then called us again to remind us about their policies and to find out our time of arrival. We were driving and wanted to be flexible and not locked into a specific time range. They were very persistent -- and so we finally provided a time. Overall - we received 4+ calls from the staff before our stay reminding us of policies, etc.
We stayed during off-season, so there was only one other car in the parking lot. It was quiet in the evening -- which was great until we were suddenly awakened in the morning by the people above us very loudly walking around. They obviously had a lot of vacant rooms, so why put someone above us?
We probably will not stay there again.

Location was beautiful. Bed was very comfortable. Hot water and shower were great.
Email conformation said dinner would be available at $20 per person, there was no dinner. Choices for dinner anywhere close were very limited. We had to change from a suite to a room to get working WiFi. We paid for a suite. Very little in the kitchen , dishes etc. Difficult to prepare a meal.
