About this cottage rental
The Jagahüttn is hidden in the Rhineland-Palatinate part of the Hunsrück in the romantic Dhron Valley, a side valley of the Moselle, not far from the wine towns of Trittenheim and Neumagen-Dhron and in an elevated position above the picturesque town of Gräfendhron, the former widow's seat of the Counts zu Hunolstein.
Formerly built as a massive hunting lodge and completely renovated in 2018 according to modern standards, today it offers a rustic atmosphere for relaxing days in the middle of nature.
The guest has a wonderful view of the forested slopes of the Dhron Valley and enjoys the tranquility and amenities of a secluded location right on the edge of the forest.
An intimate hideaway for undisturbed togetherness or up to 4 people offers an ideal starting point for hikes and culinary delights in the Moselle-Franconian region.
The Jagahüttn offers cozy and alpine-style living pleasure on 60 square meters for up to 4 people. A real hunting lodge that still serves as the starting point for hunting trips into the surrounding forests and was completely renovated in 2018.
It consists of a living room with a fireplace and a seating area that opens into the spacious kitchen. The bathroom with shower, bathtub and toilet as well as the double bedroom and the bedroom floor are separate. In front of the Jagahüttn - and the building all around - a 25 sqm terrace offers fabulous views of the Dhron Valley.
The equipment is high quality, but rustic and nostalgic and includes a stove, underfloor heating, satellite TV, stereo, microwave, fully automatic coffee machine, dishwasher, convection oven with ceramic hob.
Living room (18 sqm) with kitchen (6 sqm)
The rustic living room is the largest room in the Jagahüttn, very bright thanks to several windows and offers a view across the terrace to the surrounding wooded slopes of the romantic Dhron valley. A seating area invites you to linger. The open rustic solid wood kitchen offers a fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, fully automatic coffee machine and convection oven with ceramic hob. The kitchen is fully equipped. A stove provides cozy warmth and romantic fire play not only on cold days.
Bedroom (12 qm)
The comfortable and cozy bedroom is accessible from the living room at ground level and is equipped with a large double bed and a 5-door wardrobe. A large window allows a view of the outside area.
Sleeping loft (6 qm)
The very cozy sleeping loft is located directly above the bathroom and can be reached from the living room via a ladder. It offers two full beds, but with a limited height. Ideal for children who want to have their own realm, but also suitable for adults.
Bathroom (6 sqm)
The small but nice bathroom offers everything that makes both sexes' hearts beat faster. A large glass rain shower and next to the toilet and vanity, a foot bath to relax. A small window lets the sunlight play on the wall in the morning.
terrace
Directly in front of the Jagahüttn, a 25 square meter terrace offers a wonderful vantage point from which the view over the valley can sweep. It invites you to sit, eat, drink, sunbathe and chill out. The evening sun is excellent to enjoy there.
It is fully equipped with seating, dining table, parasol and sun loungers.
Outside
In front of the Jagahütte there is a sheltered place with a barbecue area. Local specialties such as game sausages or idaroberstein steaks can be prepared on the wooden swivel grill.

Stayed for 3 nights at the Jagahüttn! Really nice location at the edge of the small village, right at the forest! Had a wonderful time! The cabin itself is really nicely looked after, had a nice feeling and is spacious. The location is great for outdoor adventures and hiking. Great stay!

If you like uncomfortable seats, dirty smelling beds and spiders this is the place for you, we booked for six nights and left in a hurry after one, we had to pay for a second place to stay.

Very well equiped house. Good location in the forest, close to a restaurant. Good communication with the owner. Very quiet.

Beautiful hideaway.
A beautifully restored property in a quiet location. Cleanest rental home I have ever visited - spotless! Interesting decor (if you don't mind animal skins/hunting memorabilia) as it was originally built as a hunting lodge as per description. I wish we had stayed longer and have already recommended it to our friends in Germany for a short break. Thomas is a friendly, welcoming and non-intrusive host, with great communication. PS loved the doorbell!!! 5*+++

Urig und trotzdem modern! Tolles Haus in schöner Umgebung!
Gerne wieder!
