Welcome to The Light House.

The Light House is the closest house to the working Burnett Heads Light house.
Views of the ocean or harbour from every window in the house.
Discover the pristine coastline of Burnett Heads and Mon Repos, with intriguing turtles, whales and the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.

This well-maintained home is the typical Queenslander with closed in verandahs (sleep-outs), and a large, central lounge.

It was the old pilot stations' house, moved with logs to this prime location back in the 30's.

There are 4 bedrooms and a 2-way bathroom, with a claw-foot bath and seperate shower. The toilet is separate.

The 2 queen, and 2 single beds are very comfortable, as is the leather lounge suite.

Ceiling fans are throughout, and sea breezes are too pleasant to bother with air-con.

The fully fenced yard is large enough to park your boat and car, and keep your dog happy and secure.

Outdoor pets welcome and pets may sleep in the laundry at night.

Lockable single shed.

Great fishing and swimming from the rock walls and private beach.

Excellent boating and fishing in river or out to the reef.

A short 700m walk to local Supermarket, shops, PO, pub and club.

Playgrounds and skate bowl in adjacent parks for the kids.

The property would have been totally amazing but for the heat. Airconditioning would make this property the perfect place to holiday, but its just too hot in the Summer months. Everything else was spot on!!

We have never stayed in a more meticulously clean property. It had everything we needed for our short stay with the kids and our 2 small dogs. Quiet and picturesque area and hope to come again in the cooler months!

We found the property overpriced for a family holiday. With no air con (no matter what the description says - the sea breezes don’t really cool the bedrooms) no WIFI, no linen, and no standard inclusions, like coffee, tea, laundry powder (which we could have brought, rather than buy), it was not a good value stay.

Ideal get away from it all, quiet in location, large garden for the bigger dogs, lots of walks, although shops are limited they excellent, the Bakery is especially good. Richard

Great location walking distance to everything. Big well fenced yard for our young dog. A park across the street with a free electric BBQ where we had several breakfasts enjoying the sun rise and breeze. Lots of friendly dog walkers to have a chat to. This is our second stay and will return again.

For the fishing/ boating people, this place is perfect as you can park your boat nice and secured. Also great pressure water with a tap supplied. Everything was only a stones throw away which was nice.

Good clean property in quiet area close to ocean and river access. As advertised - secure yard for the dog. Would highly recommend a stay if you are looking for a peaceful getaway that is a good base for a Bundaberg escape.

We had a great stay in this comfy old beach house. Everything we needed was there except sheets, pillow slips and towels. Right across the road from marina and park. Easy walk to shops and pub. We had a relaxing visit here and highly recommend

We enjoyed our stay and the house was in a great location. We love a house with character and this house certainly had it. The yard is great for the dogs and The house was spacious and not too hot with the sea breeze. Only thing is as the bedrooms were a bit warm at night when it was still so Aircon would make it much more comfortable at night but during the colder months it would be perfect. The toilet is not in the bathroom but in the laundry so if you don’t close the door to the yard (which we didn’t to let in some air for the dogs) you may get a nice toad surprise in the middle of the night - maybe a screen door would be beneficial? Overall it was a really enjoyable stay and we will be back for sure.

Great little place with plenty of room for 6. Wonderful to have a lock up garage to keep the trailer. Lots of extras that we were not expecting (dart board, basket balls to use at the basket ball court just over the road, games, little paddle boards etc). Excellent location, close to shops, private little beach, walking paths, parks. Everything you could ask for if you are looking to escape the city. The locals even get together in main street every Thursday for an open mic /music jam night - brilliant!!

What a place!

What a place!

Wow, what a great place to stay! Tracey and Ross you are amazing hosts with a beautiful holiday house. The house was perfect for our little family and dog. It was super clean and had everything you could possibly need. Location was amazing. Kids loved the park right across from the house, great walking tracks all around and that sunset..wow. Burnett Heads is a lovely little fishing town, especially those who love all things ocean. Highly recommend the lighthouse house to stay. Thanks Tracey and Ross.

House was in a great position for walking our dog. The yard was fully fenced and the dog had the run of the yard. Our dog was allowed to sleep in the laundry at night which was good but she also likes sleeping in the car. The house is about 10 minutes (walking the dog) walk into town, with a good selection of casual eating options. The house is neat, clean and value for money. Will return soon.

We enjoyed our stay as a family of 6. There was plenty of room for everyone in the house. Even though it only had one bathroom, the toilet was separate and that was handy. The location is great. Burnett Heads is a small, quiet beachside town, and the kids loved having a little more freedom to explore independently. It was fabulous for the dogs also, we could walk them as far as we liked, with paths either up or down the coast, then we could leave them securely in the fully fenced yard. We would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back again for sure.
