Guests are very welcome to entertain family and friends whilst staying.
All clean linen and towels are provided and we will take of the replacement linen. There is no cleaning fee, however if you can do the dishes or put the dishwasher on before checking out; we will do rest.
Open-plan living area:
The kitchen includes a dishwasher and a side-by-side fridge/freezer. The cooking facilities are a bench-top oven, microwave, electric fry pan and a 2-zone electric induction hobs. There is a hooded BBQ 6 burner (with a side cooker) for those who love to cook outside. The lounge has comfortable recliners, an LED TV, stereo system, chrome-cast and DVD player. There are games, puzzles, books and movies suitable for all ages. There is a heat pump/air conditioner for winter and summer comfort.
Other areas:
There is an integral single garage and off-street parking. The laundry is in the garage with a washing machine, dryer and ironing board etc.
Wheelchair friendly - the unit is easily accessible via the ranch-sliders, doors and hallways. The kitchen and bathroom have been designed with wheelchair accessibility. All internal door openings are at least 30 inches wide, with the openings from the kitchen and lounge to the hallway being 34 inches wide.
Security: there is an outside sensory camera on the host side facing the joint driveway area for both properties (host and guest), to assist with vehicle security. No other cameras are placed inside or outside in the guest area or guest apartment.

A home away from home. Kitted out with so much more than expected from the pantry, fridge, disabled bathroom, to the tranqiility of the location.
The hosts were so accomodating.
Loved our time here.

This is one of the most wheelchair accessible places I've stayed. It's in a great location, nice and close to a cycle path, plus it has a nice friendly helpful owner.

One of the best we have stayed at. Very clean, excellent facilities, clear instructions from owner, lovely little touches like avocados from own tree and jasmine in bathroom for our stay. Added bonus of being totally accessible for anyone with a disability (not tokenistic saying they are when actually not) and handy to Napier and easy to get to Hastings. Highly recommend.

Nice and quiet, out of the way if the hustle and bustle but close enough to get to IronMaori event with short trip up motorway. Homely and clean, large modern bathroom, internal garage, well stocked kitchen and wardrobes with extra blankets and towels. Marika the host was welcoming and friendly. Great stay!!

Our family of five enjoyed a great stay at Napier Retreat in December! The place was clean, comfy and spacious. The pantry and fridge were well stocked, and we also had fresh lemons and avocados from the garden. Bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed and comfortable with every detail taken care of. Our hostess Marika was absolutely great, and very helpful! We highly recommend Napier Retreat for your next visit to Hawke’s Bay!

We had an amazing long weekend away. Napier Retreat is centrally located and this gave us the opportunity to plan our day trips properly around the various tourist attractions. The host was bery welcoming, friendly and just fantastic. She had the unit nice and warm, lights were on and the front door was left unlocked upon arrival.
The Host recommended some local attractions, sent me a e-mail with links of all the tourist attractions. There was also a lot of brochures inside the unit left for our perusal.
Napier Retreat is very well equipped with everything your own home has and more.
From games, books, movies there was never ample to do inside the unit too.
The convenience of the laundry was also a huge benefit.
We had the opportunity of experiencing Hawkes Bay and surroundings, break away from city life, and truly enjoyed our stay in every way.
I will highly recommend Napier Retreat to anyone planning a trip in the Hawkes Bay vaccinity.

Perfect quiet getaway in Napier
Located a short drive south of Napier it is conveniently located yet far enough to be properly quiet and relaxing.
Hosts were great and responsive, yet respected our privacy despite living right next door.
Incredibly well equipped, everything we could wish for was available. By far the best Bach we've ever booked so far.
