Well needless to say we ended up leaving 3 hours after we got there. I wish I could post pictures. I think only thing that was done after the last stay of people of the 4th of July. They only changed the beds and put out clean towels. When we first got there we went to check the inside out. The place was absolutely disgusting, it had bed bug and roaches. This house should be condemned. Also I would advise when you post picture of the place to post pictures of the surroundings of the property. All the pistures that was posted were fake.

We stayed at this house over the 4th of July weekend. When we arrived, the area right outside of the house had tall grass and several pieces of trash outside. Assessing more of the outside, the grill was mostly rusted, some of the outdoor patio furniture was torn and unsteady, and there were areas in the yard with several pieces of animal feces.Upon entry into the house, the first thing we noticed was the storm door handle was broken. To our surprise, the furniture in the sun room mirrored the outdoor furniture with rips and holes rendering them unsafe to sit. Exploring further, the bathrooms were filthy. There were dead bugs in the window seal, a few embedded in the rugs with stains, and tubs and showers were not clean. Unfortunately, we had to clean them ourselves with bleach and other cleaning products to sanitize them. Additionally, the downstairs bathroom leaked water which extended into the hallway outside.Furthermore, we were unable to control the thermostat ourselves. We had to contact the owner and ask him to reduce the temperature from his end. Another concern to address was the occupancy. It was listed that the home accommodated up to 15 people to which we had 12 in our reservation. We did not have enough towels for everyone so the owner suggested that we wash and reuse amongst ourselves. However, the laundry facilities in the home required money to even access. We understood it was an older home, but it was not at all well-kept. This was far from the guest experience we hoped for especially given the rate to reserve.

Location rating is only because of condition of neighborhood, otherwise would be a 5-star
House has some minor problems (i.e. upstairs bathroom drain clogged).
Communication with owner never happened, no need. Rating requires entry.
House has many levels, many of them only 2-3 inches. Proved to be a problem for me due to age (80+) and restricted mobility.

There was plenty of room for everyone in our party to have space to chill and relax. The property is located on an unpaved dirt road, with abandoned and rusted vehicles, and roosters to serenade you all day. The home is not wheelchair accessible and the first levels (there are many weird steps and stairs on the "ground" floor) have tripping hazards. Pay close attention to the transitions between rooms and the ground floor toilet requires a step up to access. The cleaning could have been better. The beds were rather uncomfortable (maybe I'm just old). Also, keep the gate closed... there's bears out in them thar woods.

Nice space for everyone to spread out. House had room for everyone but a little difficult for my elderly guests to move freely from room to room due to floors having uneven areas that would be a tripping hazard for them.

The house is located in a very sketchy location and on a dirt road with mud holes...don't take a clean car. We were a little concerned with our safety. The house is full of tripping hazards. The kitchen is not very well equipped and the range had some issues...be careful with that. The toaster did not work.

I booked the home as a farewell trip for my brother he’s in the navy and going over seas. Neighborhood was a lil off but it wasn’t anything we weren’t used to. The house is at the end of the road fenced in and private. Once we parked and got out we went inside and looked around, everything looked nice and clean, found our beds and took our stuff inside. My mom noticed a book sitting on the table and started reading it and was shocked to read that someone was living with us but we never heard anything or saw anyone not once. They may not have been there or were just extra quiet, either way it didn’t stop us from having a good time. Extra beds came in handy for if we didn’t want to sleep in the beds. The only other thing we didn’t like was the floors upstairs they need to be replace asap the room I was in with my kids the floor sinks in some spots and is to high in other. Other than that the house was perfect, definitely would book again if we ever go back to Charleston.

I have to say pulling down the road looked a little sketchy, but the house is at the end of the road sits by itself and the inside was lovely. The only complaint I have is that the alarm went off every time the maintenance man that lived on the property left the house in the morning early. It was very loud and woke me up every day, but it is close to the beach which was very convenient and it sleeps several people and we had a large crowd so it was perfect. Definitely would stay there again. Yeah, and I was very friendly when one of the children touched the alarm and we got in touch with him to make sure everything was OK

The Sol Legre! James Island, South Carolina 2022
It was a Great Time and a Sol Legre Experience Never to forget 😆😉! My daughters took 4th Place at NYAA Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC for Champion Force Cheer and we came here to celebrate and the house and Location was Perfect. The Central Air worked great. Plenty of room for our large group of family. Area for the kids & the adults to hang! After having Soaked up all the Sun and fun for 4 days we forgot a sweatshirt bought from folly beach...No Worries we contacted the property owner and worked it out!! We would definitely come back and stay again. Until the next time! 🤙

Did it’s job, but wouldn’t book again.
The house did its job. Our entire family stayed here for a Navy event. We all fit & no one was on top of each other. The yard was nice & allowed the kids a good space to run around and play. The patio tables & outdoor grilling area were great & we took advantage of both since the weather was nice.
As far as cleanliness, it’s rough. The house definitely needs more attention paid to it, not to mention we’re pretty sure there’s no way it would pass on electrical code with the cords/wires running everywhere.
So all in all, it did it’s job. We were all able to stay under one roof together. But we wouldn’t book again.

Thanksgiving with the family
The house was big and spacious and clean and in a good location.
The neighborhood wasn’t the greatest.
Check in was at 3 but we couldn’t get in until 7. That was the only issue we had.

Underwhelming
We usually book a stay for less than 10 people but this year we brought along our grandparents and needed more room. From the photos it appeared to be plenty of space. But the photos were slightly misleading and that could be chalked up to my own interpretation of where the rooms and bathrooms were located. When we first approached the address it seemed kind of sketchy, but we pressed on. My first issue with the property was that there isn’t as much space as we thought. At most I would say the home is fit for 12 to 14 people or less. The pull out beds were very dirty and there was no bedding for them. The upstairs pull out left pieces of patent leather bits everywhere and was very dirty (stains possibly from urine and other liquid spills on the slither of foam mattress top) It’s really a small couch with a foam mattress top both upstairs and downstairs in the den. Would not be suitable for anyone over 5’ tall and desperately needs cleaning. Although, there is a $395 cleaning fee included in the price, within 5 minutes the bottoms of all the children’s socks were completely black. The shower in the bathroom with the washer and dryer doesn’t have much water pressure. There was also an odd smell coming from the kitchen sink, I’m assuming the garbage disposal. Most hosts will keep an extra supply of toiletries such as toilet paper, etc, of which there was none and we had to purchase more during our 4 day stay. The beds are covered with sheets and a very very thin blanket, I would suggest packing your own bedding when planning to stay here, the vents are on the ceiling and blow towards the beds but adjusting the temperature would cause the house to be too hot during the day so we closed the vents and froze throughout the night (this is the downstairs bedroom that’s located by the den off of the kitchen) in other rooms it wasn’t as cold. The pots and pans were plenty but not suitable for cooking for a big group of people. We ended up purchasing pots and foil pans to feed the group and then packing them up to bring back home with the rest of our luggage. There were a lot of steps which isn’t a huge problem but can be kind of dangerous for small kids. We actually enjoyed our time together and just overlooked some of the problems we had with the stay but would not book here again. We actually didn’t end up reaching out to the property manager at all but gave 5 stars because their info was posted several places in case it was needed.

Peace and serenity
The room and space was just what we needed. I really enjoyed having my family all together. We had a great time outside in the yard. All the amenities you need for a great time.

Great for the price
Great for the price, it's an older house and the neighborhood is a little run down but still seemed safe and the location is great. Plenty of room for our large family to spread out. Property was also clean and cool.

Iffy neighborhood and mold like smell
Our stay at this house was fair. There were plenty of rooms and the property manager was easy to get in touch with. However the neighboor hood was iffy. Also we all left with a sneeze and cough along with sinus issues due to the mold like smell.

Nice house, rural neighborhood
Lots of room is a dated house, We would stay again.

Good for a big group, with some quirks
Great place for gathering up extended family without breaking the bank. Plenty of bedroom and common area space. But with this location you have to drive to the beach or nearby attractions. But it is an old house with quirks -- steps up and down from one addition to another -- and the upstairs bedrooms get hot in the heat of the day due to insufficient AC airflow. Earlier comments about cleanliness must have been addressed. Place was spotless and linens well prepared for our arrival. Have these in mind when you come here and you will be satisfied with your stay.

Nice house, not nice area
Very comfortable home with plenty of bathrooms and beds. Fully stocked with kitchen appliances and bath towels. The only complaint I have is the pictures do not show a good idea of the neighborhood. It was very very run down and down a dirt road with chickens all around.
6.0
Location was good. Showed up and the property was musty and still dirty from the previous stay.
Average, to below average. Sleeping 14 in this house is a stretch to say the least. Also there was legitimately a dead, flattened frog in the down stairs bathroom near the vending machine. (barely under the carpet in front of the shower). Location is great, 10 minute drive down to Folly which was great. Definitely needs a more thorough cleaning before guests arrive, this would make this stay slightly above average. Also, I don't think this place sleeps 14 comfortably, had to buy an air mattress to sleep 14.
Backyard: glass all in the grass and the umbrella's were left up and are broken. Overall it was an average stay.

SEWE Weekend
House was very, very clean. Entering the driveway was a little questionable, but once at the house it was very enjoyable. Lovely spacious back yard with a great privacy fence. Enough room for all of us to not be on top of each other. Although is was a short weekend enough memories were made for a lifetime. Wonderful Property Management team as well.

Not What Expected
Review #24818569 “NEW-Charleston Home Close to Beach & Boat Landing!”
★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
I hate to write a poor review; however, this home disappointed in many levels. We read the first review and understood that previous guests had some complaints. We also traveled with seniors and young children. Curbside: The home was run down and seemed to be next to a sewer. Inside: The railing was not fixed. The home was not clean; it was questionable if the sheets were washed, there was dirty underwear under a bed, a pill under another. Everything had a fine layer of dust making one of our members have allergy related issues. While looking for a broom we opened up the supply room which was a huge mess. Items were piled from floor to ceiling making it impossible to even get the vacuum cleaner without items falling. An exacto blade was on a window railing that my four-year old niece picked up and accidentally cut herself with. She needed to be taken to get stitches...all the above, made us nervous and always on cautionary mode.
The kitchen: greasy countertop, bottom cupboards had pots, pans, and cookware shoved in and unorganized causing confusion and a waste of time when cooking for large groups.
Shower (in the back)- not draining, however the CEO/property manager came out and fixed the shower.
AC- cold downstairs and hot upstairs. We were not able to reach the property manager that night. The following day the property manager resolved this issue.
Washing Machines: Confusing. It looked like it was pay to use, but we concluded the owners must have purchased them at a laundromat. We were able to use the change in the machine after we figured out how to reuse the quarters. The policy stated we needed to wash and dry the towels before we left. We found this inconvenient for us as we still needed to use the towels in the morning but also clean up and leave by a certain time. There was some confusion on leaving time as the email stated one time and a printout at the house stated another.
One of the greatest disappointments was the UNCLEAR cancellation policy. We booked the home and after reflection decided it wasn’t a good fit for us. As we booked, there were options for receiving payment back if a cancellation was made at least two weeks before. When I called to cancel with Evolve/VRBO, the property manager informed me that there there is a NO REFUND policy, at all, except in extreme cases. We still request a retribution.

I wanted to love this property but was meet with a few disappointments: air didn’t work upstairs
The pictures were beautiful but when we arrived it was a little underwhelming. The first thing I noticed was the AC in the upstairs of the house seemed to not work and there were fans in each of the bedrooms. The second thing was the grass in the backyard was not cut down. I spoke with the managers and owner of the property who were very responsive and came (sent someone) the next day to look at the AC and now the lawn. I really appreciated the attention that was given to my complaints. Another thing that struck me and Family as odd had to do with the layout of the inside of the house. We traveled with seniors and a toddler. There were a lot of steps at the entrance of most of the downstairs area. Overall my family enjoyed our stay in the house. The temperature in the upstairs was comfortable enough for us to sleep each night. We felt safe. We had a large group and there was enough room for everyone to sleep and sit around. I would suggest upgrading the refrigerator. A bonus was the washer and dryer access although it did get very hot in the area where the dryer was hooked up. One of the posts in the stair railing was broken and I also suggest having a railing going along the stairs as there was nothing but wall to hold onto when ascending and descending the stairs. All the TVs worked. The grill was a great bonus as we used it each night.
