HOME DESCRIPTION
This is a little gem of a cabin. Built in 1928, it was one of the first cabins on the street, and they built it in the perfect spot to see all of the forest valleys below and all the way out to the Apple Valley.
When you walk in, you're greeted by maybe the best part of the cabin - the kitchen. For a cozy one-bedroom cabin, they built a good-sized kitchen! We've added some lighting and decorative touches, but it was a stunning space to begin with. Before sunset, the light filters in through the trees into the kitchen, and it fills the room with a beautiful, warm glow.
From there, you enter the living room with a lodge-style vaulted ceiling, log beams, and a wood-burning stove fireplace built with the granite right from the property.
Adjacent to the living room is the bedroom with a queen bed, princess canopy, and a huge walk-in closet for such a little place! It's empty, but you won't run out of space if you wish to use the drawers and shelves.
The bathroom features an oversized tub and original building elements like the vintage, hand-painted sink and pine vanity.
And finally, the deck is probably where you'll want to spend some time relaxing. It's amazing how you can park your car just steps away from the front door, then take about 20 steps to the back deck, and all of a sudden, you're in the forest with miles and miles of views! It's why they chose this parcel. It's the perfect spot to view the sunrise over the Apple Valley with your morning coffee, or unwind in the shade of the big oak tree with your favorite drink in hand.
In case you've never heard of Twin Peaks, it's one of Lake Arrowhead's six neighborhoods - we're about 900 feet higher than the lake, so there's a lot more forest and a bit less people! But we're still close to everything - the village is just 4 miles away (10 minutes) and Jensen's Market is just a short drive away.
HOME AMENITIES

* We do not extend refunds due to weather conditions, road closures, driver's abilities or vehicle limitations.
* Mountain weather requires shoveling snow.

A: The Property is located in a mountain community and is surrounded by neighboring cabins. The community itself is surrounded by forest.
**To reduce risk of wildfire during severe wind conditions, Southern California Edison reserves the right to temporarily cut electrical service to its customers, and we have no control over that. Our guests understand that there will be no refunds for power outages, and that they'll happily accept the unlikely inconvenience for the sake of preserving our forests!

From the time we first arrived to the time we locked the door to leave, we had a wonderful time. The place is perfect for one or two people to get away from the city. The outdoor deck was perfect for morning coffee and breakfast - also great for just sitting and listening to the wildlife.
Owners were a huge help with suggestions of where to go, eat & site see.
My wife and I can’t wait to go back.

Wooded paradise
I chose this cabin for a solo getaway to recharge and refresh. I spent most of my time out on the deck that is nestled amid tall pine trees with a view of the mountain in the distance. I can’t imagine a more perfect setting to unwind and just be. On the deck, I did yoga, sipped my morning coffee while reading, journaled and just soaked in the beauty surrounding me from my little piece of heaven on earth. If you’re looking for a solo or duo getaway, look no further than David and Patricia’s lovely, thoughtfully appointed cabin in the woods.

Magically delightful getaway cabin!
Such a welcoming, joyful ambiance in this cozy cabin with a tree-filled deck view that instantly relaxes and renews the mind, body and spirit. Lots of attention to details. Clean. Loved the open kitchen and dining area. Location is ideal--walked the neighborhood and up to Strawberry Peak Lookout Tower. Quiet. Private. THE BEST! Gold stars to hosts, David and Patricia.

Peace and quiet above the clouds
The cabin is an adorable little place that is well-kept and feels truly loved. The decor is charming and the kitchen has all the equipment you will need to make a romantic dinner for two. The deep bathtub is perfect for a relaxing soak before cuddling up by the fireplace.

Perfect spot for solo soul searching!
I am newly single after 3 decades of marriage and was looking for a place to get away from all the distractions and stress of life to do some soul searching and recharge. This property was sooo perfect for that! Communication with the owners was superb; very timely with amazing attention to detail - quickly, thoughtfully and thoroughly answered any questions I had + provided lots of tips for making my stay truly enjoyable (my favorite tip was to bring Duraflame logs for easy & perfect fires).
While most of the visitors are lovebirds looking to connect with each other, I also highly recommend it for those looking for a place to fly solo and love on themselves. The property was very easy to find and was so comfortable, clean and cozy. It is in a great location with easy parking and quick access to a market, movie theater and Lake Arrowhead. I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed staying in to read, cook, meditate, sleep, soak in the tub etc. When I felt like venturing out to enjoy the beautiful, snowy area, I popped down to Jensen’s market to get baked goods for breakfast, took advantage of the provided parking pass to go hiking, and hit Arrowhead village for shopping and a visit to the Taproom & Kitchen (sat at the bar with a stunning view of the lake and the friendly bartenders chatted with me as I enjoyed a beer and a bite while using their WiFi to watch my sons streaming college volleyball game…go Ducks!). The view from the back deck is beautiful and I can’t wait to go back after the snow melts to enjoy enjoy it for longer periods of time.
This is truly the perfect mountain getaway for two lovebirds or a solo souls searcher! I plan to make at least a few trips a year to this adorable cabin….to spend quality time with myself and to connect with my lovebird…..when I’m blessed to have another one fly into my life!
Many thanks to my gracious hosts for sharing this perfect spot with me when I needed it most.

Best cabin ever!
Before you go, grab some starter and fire wood at the store. I recommend 1-2 cords a night. Besides that, you don't need anything. Everything is provided and works just as expected. The host provides more than they need to and ensure you have everything you need for an amazing weekend. My wife and I stayed here and had a blast. Our only regret about this cabin is that we didn't stay longer. 10/10 beat cabin I've ever stayed it.

Nice Cabin feel but late check in.
Enjoyed it but 5PM check in is late considering you pay for that night and have to be out by 11. Other than that it was a good experience and very relaxing. Quiet and beautiful view.

Perfect Getaway for a Couple (or individual for that matter!)
This place was PERFECT. We loved the size of the living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. The whole vibe of the place was soothing and pleasant. The wood burning stove served us well, along with the heater and space heater. Great kitchen for preparing food if you want to do that and there are some good restaraunts pretty close by. The deck is AWESOME. It snowed the night we arrived so we didn't hang out too much out there, but I shoveled a path out there and it was just great to be out there in the sun, taking in the view. Come prepared for snow and potential HEAVY fog. I loved not having a TV or wifi for a bit....although I had my hotspot so we could still watch a show here or there if we wanted to. The hosts communicated regularly through messages and gave detailed instructions and recommendations. Overall, exactly what we were looking for in a Lake Arrowhead vacation.

Everything I Wanted
This was a perfect place for me. I wanted a solo trip for a couple of days to relax quietly with nature. The neighborhood is on a hill making it seem more secluded. The cabin was the perfect size for me. The rooms are well decorated with a wood "cabiny" style. The home was very clean, and everything was in great working order. I especially appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine left for me on the counter. But the greatest feature of all was the nice deck in the back. It is very private and overlooks forest. Between some of the trees you can see mountains out in the distance. Beautiful! All you hear is the breeze blowing through the trees and the many birds. If you are an early riser, you can see an amazing sunrise. David and Patricia are friendly and helpful hosts. I highly recommend this place, and hope to stay there again myself.

Great trip!
We had a fantastic stay here! The house is adorable- very clean and nice in a cute little neighborhood. The owners couldn’t have been more friendly. They provided lots of helpful tips for what to do on our stay and were super quick to reply to any questions. Highly recommend staying here.
One general word of Caution for lake arrowhead summer visits- it gets very hot and most homes don’t have AC. So just something to keep in mind!

Outstanding place to relax and recharge.
What a magical place to stay! My wife and I stayed to celebrate her birthday and the upcoming birth of our first child. Such a peaceful relaxing stay. The views from the balcony were incredible and sunrises from the balcony were breathtaking. Has everything you need and is a 10 minute drive to lake arrowhead and all of the cool attractions around the area. The hosts were extremely nice and thoughtful. Must stay! We will no doubt be back in the near future.

Phenomenal cabin with views!
We just got back from our long weekend at the cabin. From the moment we walked in we fell in love with this beautiful and cozy cabin. It was very clean, stocked with what we needed, the view from the deck were breathtaking. We enjoyed bird watching, we saw a couple squirrels and mommy with baby raccoons. It was quiet and exactly what we were looking for. Close to some awesome hikes and close to Lake Arrowhead as well. We will definitely be back. Thank you Dave and Patricia for sharing your beautiful cabin!

Love nest
A beautifully crafted love nest for couples looking to spend a quality time away from the busy life.
Amid the lockdown situation, this place helped me and my fiance to spend quality time together in peace and was indeed a breathe of fresh air. We didn't miss a single day from eating our meals sitting outside on the porch with the views of the woods and use the fireplace.
David and Patricia left us a wine which we relished on our picnic to the Big Bear Lake carried in the cute picnic basket.
Everything in the cabin is so well thought. We had enough supplies to last us for 3 nights. We had extra heater, fans, and absolutely everything one could think of on a romantic holiday.
Thank you for the amazing experience. I'll definitely visit again.
Regards,
Trupti and Oliver

Local Getaway
I'd like to comment mainly on the great communication back and forth with the owners. The home was very cozy and perfect for our weekend trip away from the city. The bed was surprisingly comfortable as well! The owner also provided a comprehensive list of things to check out locally and it was very very helpful. Overall it was a great experience and would like to do it again someday. Thank you Patricia and David.

my girlfriend, it was exactly what she expected from what she saw on the listing on Vbro. It was just as nice as she thought from the pictures. We loved it! The place was perfectly romantic and the hosts were so prompt on replying to any concerns and completely understanding and helpful on everything. Definitely going back for quick romantic getaways

Quaint and clean.
Lovely place. Bed was very comfortable and kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed the large bathtub and pretty deck. The location is in a populated neighborhood so don’t expect a private experience in the woods. However, our stay was quiet and peaceful and hosts were attentive.

Sweetest cabin with a tree-house feels makes for a lovely, romantic getaway
My husband and I came up for our wedding anniversary weekend. The cabin is the perfect size for a couple. I loved the authentic wood beam structure, wood burning fireplace and spacious porch overlooking the Lake Gregory area. Having our morning coffee or looking at the night stars created a perfect, relaxing setting. The porch overlook is a 10+.
We made full use of the homey kitchen, cooking all meals there. It was well equipped with all the necessities plus some wonderful spice mixes. David and Patricia were nice enough to leave some extra goodies, which we really appreciated.
Lastly, the owners left us a ton of local recommendations and went out of their way to leave several passes so that we can access the lakes and water sports at no charge.
Thanks so much for making our weekend memorable, David and Patricia. ;)
