About this apartment rental

Our charming 1 bedroom/1 bathroom penthouse is sunny and cozy. The private rooftop terrace has a stunning 180 degree view of the beautiful Villefranche-Sur-Mer bay. The apartment is situated on the top story of the historic Palais de la Marine, which is located just down the street from the old town and directly across the street from the bay. The Palais de la Marine has an elevator to the 4th floor. Our flat is located just 1 floor above on the top floor, just 1 flight of stairs. The bedroom has a queen size bed which is open to the living area and can be closed off with a privacy screen. The living room has a sofa with a pullout bed. The kitchen and bathroom have been recently renovated. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Watch the fishermen come in each morning while sipping your coffee on the terrace, you are just a 2 minute walk to the dock where the fishermen sell their daily catch. The town's weekly market is every Sunday. The weekly market, grocery store, boulanger, patisserie, wine store and many wonderful restaurants are all just steps away. The pristine beach of Villefranche is a top rated beach on the Cote D'Azur and is a short walk from the flat. The quaint town is charmingly beautiful and truly magical after dark. The Italian border is 30 minutes away. If you get the urge for a more cosmopolitan scene, Nice is just a 10 minute drive or train ride away. The glamorous and ritzy Monaco is 20 minutes away by car or train. Whether you are a francophile, oenophile, foodie, golfer, sun worshiper, ski enthusiast, scuba diver/snorkler or a glitzy jet setter, Villefranche-sur-Mer has everything you need and want. The train and bus stations are just a few minutes walk from the flat. There are also 5 private parking spaces available on a first come first serve basis and public paid parking is nearby. This is a non smoking apartment but smoking is permitted on the terrace. ASK ABOUT OUR INSTITUT DE FRANÇAIS DISCOUNT!!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. Great for 2 people. View is fantastic. Location is quiet and away from the noise of the restaurants and busy areas but so close to walk to everything. The train station is a few mins walk away but you barely hear the trains. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything that we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great base to visit the surrounding areas or just spend the days at the beach.

The property is very comfortable, clean, and has a stunning view of the Bay of Villefranche Sur Mer. It is steps away from restaurants on the water that excel in service and food; as well as shops, and a fresh fishmonger. Villefranche Sur Mer is a sophisticated small town close to Nice, Monaco, Cannes, and other towns on the Côte d’Azur. All amenities are within walking distance: shops, restaurants, grocery, pharmacies, post office, a beautiful long sandy beach, as well as the train station and bus stations for taking excursions to other towns. Another nearby attraction is Cap Ferrat and the Baronness d’Ephrussy-Rothschild Villa and gardens.

Really enjoyed our stay at this property! Waterfront with a great view of the sea and the gorgeous surroundings from the private terrasse. Check-in process was super smooth with the property manager and she was responsive for all our questions. Ideal place for couples visiting French Riviera. Everything was well maintained and many amenities at our disposition. If ever in the area again will try to grab that and highly recommend it to friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this lovely seaside apartment in the sky. It had all the amenities you could need. It was very clean, cozy, with modern conveniences, and old rustic beams overhead. If you wish to relax and watch tv at the end of a long day make sure to bring your streaming passwords. The apt. is perfect for 1-2 people, but anymore would be too tight, imo. The apartment is SO close to everything you need- restaurants, the beach, and the train is only a 5 minute straight walk. Marie Laure, and Suzie, answered the many questions I had prior to and during my trip. They were very gracious hosts. I would definitely stay again if they would welcome me.

The rental was a top choice for the view and location. Gianfranco, the “concierge” for the building was most kind and helpful. The apartment was perfect for my wife and I. Clean, well equipped, comfortable and the view from the balcony was spectacular. Thank you Suzie, Scott, and Gianfranco!

We felt very privileged to stay in your top floor apartment for a week. It was the perfect base for our first stay on the Riviera. Enjoying a morning coffee on the balcony while watching the sunrise over the harbour is pretty special. Of course, the balcony works just as well for a pre dinner drink. The apartment is well equiped with everything needed for an extended stay. The only negative is that the apartment is obviously set up for 2 + 2 guests and the extra furnishing required for this does make it feel a little cluttered. Sometime less is more...

Stayed for 4 days at the lovely apartment. 360 degree views from the balcony are gorgeous. The town of Villefranche is charming, train or bus are not far away so you can explore the Cote d'Azur without a car. The apartment is well equipped, comfy bed, good quiet aircon and the building supervisor Giancarlo is around to help or have a good chat. The only issues were 1; I banged my head a few times on the low beams, but that's entirely my fault for being clumsy! 2; Saturday night on the balcony drinking rose wine was ruined by a very load wedding party from the restaurant below, terrible music been pumped out at ear splitting volume until past1am. I went to complain but the guy said they had a licence for the event so tough luck. I would suggest next time they inform Giancarlo so he can warn guests in the future of load events. Otherwise a lovely stay at Suzie's lovely place. Robert

Words like magnificent and spectacular don't capture the magic of this property! It was beyond our expectation in so many ways: great restaurants just steps away, fabulous balcony views over the water, comfortable bed; lots of hot water in shower, speedy internet, property manager easy to access/ask questions. The space itself is nicely decorated and comfy, and because of an elevator in the building, this loft apartment is only one flight of stairs (we're senior couple and had no trouble) Con: only potential con is that the loft apartment has some sloped ceilings. My 6 ft husband had to be aware in a few spots, but not a real issue; however basketball players, beware (hehe)

Wonderful location and cozy appartement with beautiful harbor views from terrace. Excellent professional service from booking to departing. Property manager Gianfranco was attentive and really went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. I couldn’t have been happier!

We loved this place! The loft has a wonderful view. It is quiet and comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. The location is exceptional. It is very close to the busstop and train station. With the bus you can be in 10 minutes in Nice or you can take the train to Cannes or Menton. Gianfranco is very helpful and friendly. We highly recommend tis place.
