We were very impressed with the facilities. We arrived late at night after a late flight into Dresden. We could arrange to have the instructions how to let ourselves in and the set up was modern and secure. The room was of high standard with very comfortable beds and pleasant shower room. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice of savoury and sweet options and hot beverages. Unfortunately, the transport to and from the airport was somehow cumbersome.
Connection to airport (transport).
4.5
I was looking for a hotel relatively near to the airport, and also in a relatively quiet location near natural areas where I could go for walks. For me, this hotel met all of these criteria, being on a dead-end street with little traffic, and across the street from a forested swimming lake with cottages all around it (which is almost certainly much busier in the middle of summer than when I was there), with walking trails through the adjacent forest. As a bonus, I discovered that there is a tram line that starts less than 200m away from the hotel that runs directly into the center of Dresden within about 30 minutes, and with trams running every 10 minutes.
The hotel's beer garden/restaurant had its regular closing days on Monday and Tuesday (and no breakfasts served on Monday) when I was there. I would not say that this is "bad", but just slightly inconvenient. The management did warn me of this in advance, so I just needed to plan accordingly; there are bakeries and grocery stores within walking distances of less than 1km (i.e. for breakfast food).

Very good traditional restaurant with friendly staff.
We slept on the top floor and it was a bit cold. It was just about 0 degree outside. So probably something is off with insulation.
3.5
Great location not too far from big Kaufland shop. (food store) The bathroom was very nice despite it was not too big but had everything you need. Close to the tram station with just walking distance.
The room was quit small, but enough space for walking as well as for not too big table with chairs. Available restaurant was quit expensive even it was far away from Dresden city center. Disappointing that lake which is steps away is open from 11am till 5pm only, thus unable to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon even sun is still shining.

The room and facilities were beautiful, and the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was excellent. The morning waitress/staff were very kind and helpful.
If you are looking for something remote, relaxing, and/or beautiful, this place may be surprising and delightful, especially given the price and the food.
I selected this room in part because other reviews had ranked it high for location, stating that it was very near the Sbahn. It is not a convenient location, nor is it close to the Sbahn. It is at the end of the tram line, outside of the city limits of Dresden, in a place called Weixdorf - emphasis on the "dorf" because it is quite rural. It is, in fact, so far beyond the city limits that it is literally one stop PAST Fuchsberg.
It takes a full 30 minutes to get there from the old city (Neu Stadt) and a full 45 minutes from the Central Bus Station. There is one line of public transportation to get there (the tram line, #7, toward Weixdorf). This tram does run into the late hours and on weekends, but there is only ONE line, and it runs fairly intermittently on nights and weekends. You will have to walk through a somewhat isolated and poorly lit woodsy patch to get to the hotel, and there are no obvious or direct signs to get there.
If I had it to do over, I would recommend staying in the old city Neu Stadt, or in the district of Neustadt (either Neu Stadt - the touristy, reconstructed after 1989 old city, or Innenstadt..... - or the part of the city called Neustadt, which is a district across the river from Neu Stadt and was reconstructed by the Soviets after the war ; this can be confusing).
That said, the place and the grounds are lovely, and some may relish staying there - if the time and distance away from the center are not a concern. That's especially so because of the excellent price, restaurant, the excellent breakfast, and - yes, the fact that it is one stop past Fuchsberg and surrounded by woods and people's dachas does have its particular charms, if that is what you are going for.
Also - the staff --> not exactly warm. With the exception of one very kind-hearted waitress, the staff were rather indifferent. Not cold, but not champing at the bit to be helpful, either.

Nice Restaurant
Rooms were smaller then I expected.
