Owners were responsive to problem we experience and fixed immediately. Cosy cottage with comfortable beds and everything you need. Great position. We hired a car so there was no issue with the hilly surrounds.

We are interested in heritage architecture, so we really loved staying in this charming cottage. With all the quirks of its age it is still clean, cosy and comfortable and has all the necessities (and more) for guests. It is in a great location, not too far from the best heritage sites Hobart has to offer. Many thanks Denise and Greg for the opportunity!

Ideal position - we could walk to most attractions. Well stocked pantry and the wine and cheese was a lovely surprise! Great little basket of info pamphlets helped us work out what to do. Lovely stay in a delightful little cottage!

property was great parking was a problem which we were not aware of beforehand we were not given the number of the road on arrival and had trouble locating the property when we phoned the owner it took them all day to get back to us by that time after asking people in the immediate area managed to locate the property overall had a great stay

The cottage is quaint and cosy with all the modern comforts. It is a perfect blend of new and old.
The location is convenient and surprisingly quiet. Easy access to go North or South of Hobart. It is on a hill so if walking, this should be taken into consideration. There is no designated parking spot, however we had no trouble finding one.
The beds were very comfortable, the water hot and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was a winner.
The view from the backyard is great with water views. A perfect place to have a bottle of wine and some cheese as is the couch on the front verandah.

This is a return visit. We enjoyed it this time and will come again. The house is delightful and had everything we needed after active days. Self catering with Tassie produce was made easy with the amazing kitchen. Heated bathroom floor and cosy beds meant great recovery for the next day.

My husband son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cosy comfortable well appointed cottage.Lovely touches were wine cheese and crackers to welcome us with chocolates and port to tempt.Location is superb with an easy walk to the city including Salamanca market the waterfront and Battery Point. The only negative from my husband and son's pint of view was the very low door frames in some of the doors in the cottage.Being short there wasn't a problem for me!

The location was amazing, so central to everything we wanted to do. We used this as our base & did lots of travelling from here including day trips to Port Arthur, caves, etc. Lovely treats on arrival 🍷🧀& the floor heating in the bathroom was sublime! Would definitely stay again! 😊

Great wee spot to relax. We didn’t have a car but convenience store was nearby. Handy to restaurants and variety of takeaways. The cottage was clean and warm. The hosts were friendly and quick to reply. I would definitely recommend to others.

The property was very suitable for 2 friends needing seperate beds! It is well heated and comfortable. The only thing is to be aware that there are step stairs at the front and the hill is quite steep if you intend walking. We decided to Uber up and down which was a great solution.

Denise our host was amazing - everything we needed was at the cottage - location was fantastic and close to what we needed - would love to come back and stay again

The owner was very helpful with letting me check-in a little bit early. Great spot close to town, and a very fair price. Charming little house with history.

The house was perfectly clean and comfortable. Anyone who hasn’t visited Hobart should know that it’s very hilly and this house is a few blocks uphill from town. Wear your walking shoes.

the cutest little cottage only a short walk from Hobarts attractions. It was very clean and welcoming and fully stocked with kitchen appliances, and bathroom and laundry necessities

Excellent stay, comfortable, cozy, quirky, convenient. Everything we needed was magically thought of, all instructions were clear, things worked as they should. Cannot recommend enough. The house is high on the hill and nothing could prepare us for that climb on the way back but then there are the views and we just used lots of Uber on returns

We very much enjoyed our 2-week stay in this 19th century cottage full of character. We had the 2-bedroom cottage to ourselves- it was also lovely to meet Denise who is a friendly and welcoming host. All mod cons and comfortable beds; well supplied and with charming homely touches. Thick stone walls and slightly dark interior, but a pretty terraced garden to sit in. Set on a hill like much of Hobart. Convenient quiet location within walking distance of the city centre. Would highly recommend.

Our stay was delightful in the homely and comfortable property located in Central area of Hobart. For lazy people (like me) or disabled the hills and steps were a killer but other than that the home had every comfort it was just like being at home. Thank you for the positive experience that we all enjoyed.

A home away from home, with plenty of space and walking distance to the city. From the thoughtful food items left for us, to the heated bathroom floor, our stay was comfortable. Be aware that the saucepan size range is small. Thanks Denise and Greg for a great few days in delightful Hobart.

Loved this quirky cottage with its cosy, character filled rooms and it’s welcoming ambiance. Everything we could possibly need was there for us to use and the beds were comfortable. To be able to walk into town was great but the hills were a challenge on the return leg.

As soon as my fiancée and I arrived at the property we knew we booked a winner.
Such a comfortable and cosy cottage in the perfect location.
We did so much walking as the cottage was not far from everythingwe wanted to see by foot.
Thank you Denise.

The host provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would stay there on any future visits to Hobart. Although the distance to town and Sandy Bay was not far, the steepness of the surrounding roads can be difficult for the aged to walk to those destinations.

A great cottage just on the outskirts of Hobart CBD. Warm, inviting and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

very hard to fault
Photos and descriptions dont do this place justice. It is a real home and with all the comforts of such. I expected a simple little cottage. It has cottage charm but in all other respects is a comfortable home

It was such a comfy, home away from home. Clean, warm and welcoming. Lovely wine and cheese on arrival. Everything has been thought of. Close to town and local attractions. Looking forward to staying there again.

Fabulous quirky home
We had a great time staying in this quirky home. The low doorways were a bit of a challenge for our tall friends though! We loved the history of the home and the extra things the host included. We certainly recommend this place.

Always the best!
This was our third stay and we love it! All the comforts of home (and more) plus it’s lovely and warm.
Close to town and not far to walk down the hill to Salamanca Place etc.
See you next year hopefully 😊

Disappointed
Quaint cottage and good location. Disappointed to find food items left for guests, such as butter, quince paste, jams and spreads were already open and partially used. Due to the ageing sewage system of the area, an unpleasant smell persisted in the bathroom/toilet and permeated into the second bedroom and hallway. Beds were comfortable and the cottage was toasty warm thanks to good heating in each room.

Fantastic little cottage surprisingly bigger than expected. Loved the little touches of cheese and bottle of wine on arrival, plus all the little things that were supplied.
We would definitely stay again if I Hobart and fully recommend. Thanks Drnise
