About this cabin rental
This cottage is located in a private friendly community on Lake Wallenpaupack with lake access, floating docks to fish and swim off, and boat launching. (no boat slip available) Wood floors, knotty pine walls, log furniture, stone fireplace and rustic decor offers the perfect getaway with a true feeling of being in the country. The bedrooms have queens, and the loft is quite large with one log queen bed and a log futon for additional lounging or sleeping. There is a ductless air conditioning system that serves the whole cottage along with two ceiling fans and fans in each bedroom.
There is a front and rear deck. The front deck is set up with a stainless BBQ, stainless counter top deli table, picnic table and bench. The rear deck has seating and perfect for watching the deer pass by in the afternoon. There is a shed conveniently located by the front deck with garbage cans for you to toss your kitchen garbage, I will take it from there; you are on vacation!!
There are many benefits to being located on this side of the lake that I would like to share. The “507 Country Store” is right outside the community offering all the conveniences of a traditional deli, homemade bread, gourmet food, incidentals, coffee, seating and gas station. Also in the immediate vicinity is the “Rubber Duckie” and "The Boat Shop" for boat and PWC rentals; visit their websites. As you continue towards town you will find all the great lakeside restaurants like “The Dock”, “The Boathouse”, “Gresham’s Steakhouse”, “Lake Wallenpaupack Brewery”, . Also check out the newly built "Ringside Bar and Grill" just a quarter mile from the community. Of course once in town you’ll find your basic stores like CVS, Dunkin Donuts, IGA supermarket, Sports Shop, Beer store, Ice cream parlor, Pizza, etc. There are parts of the lake that are 5 or more miles to the nearest town so it is something to consider as you do your searches. Lastly and most importantly are the sunset views from this side of the lake, you may choose to enjoy these from the community beach area as you fish or sit by the beach fire pit, or take a short drive to the dam where there is free parking and take a stroll along the high path on the dam as the sun sets!
There is a visitor’s center just past the dam that will provide information and brochures about things to see and do. Please visit their Pocono Mountain web site and begin exploring!

Awesome place to stay. Not having a TV was a bonus because getting away from everyday life for a bit is always helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. Owner was a very nice guy!

This place was absolutely perfect for us. The cabin was beautiful, there was plenty of parking, outdoor entertainment areas and great access to the lake! They had firewood SPLIT for us, plenty of seating and gorgeous scenery. The owner TRULY cares about the guests staying at their home! we had an amazing weekend because of this cabin!

This property is exactly as described and shown. We stayed 3 nights to enjoy the lake with our new boat, and this cabin was perfectly located. Plenty of restaurants nearby but off of the main road so it is very quiet. We used the grill too which looked brand new! Yes, the deer come often! They will eat right out of your hand and are very calm. We visited this cabin at the height of a heat wave (over 90 degrees) and the place was very well air conditioned with convenient air flow. Would stay here again!

This was a nice cabin however, I was disappointed that it was not cleaned inside. There were cobwebs on light fixtures, very dusty on tables and lampshades and spider webs inside all the windows and on the walls. I realize it is in the woods but I am referring to the inside. The Microwave and refrigerator was not clean. Smashed bug on the wall in a bedroom. The propane gas grill outside was completely rusted and the burners were rusted through and broken in half and there was no way to grill on it. The cabin is very nice and the location too. I hope it is cleaned thoroughly for the next visitor.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Was very comfortable. Wonderful neighborhood and community. We saw deer on the property every day multiple times a day. Enjoyed our nights around the fire pit. It was a great attachment with not having a TV would highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking to get away and just decompressing online to stay here.

This cabin felt like home. It was warm and inviting and I loved the fires we had every night. The cabin is spacious, clean and had a good supply of essentials in the kitchen. We hope to visit again, maybe in the warmer weather when we can enjoy the lake and our kayaks! Susan

Great Cabin for our fall weekend away. Bed was very comfortable, but don't forget to bring sheets/towels. My husband and I were able to launch our kayaks just down the street and my husband did a little fishing too. (The floating dock was removed for the season). We walked around the neighborhood, enjoyed s'mores by the nice outdoor fire pit and saw lots of deer during our stay. We had a nice lunch at Ringside Fire Grill and got some great baked goods at the General Store, both just minutes from the cabin. We are already looking to book a return visit for the summer.

Although it rained the entire time we were there, it was relaxing. Cottage was in a great location. The kitchen had everything. We were visited by the deer which made our stay memorable. Bill was very helpful.

First time staying here and this will be my new favorite spot from this point forward. This is the 4th year my son's and I go on our annual fishing trip to lake Wallenpaupack and this place was awesome, loved the woodwork and everything including the loft, even no t.v. was great, awesome spot 👍👍

We were very happy with the house. We really like that the kitchen/dining and living room were open to each other. The beds were extremely comfortable. The yard was large and had a nice fire pit with a lot of chairs to sit. The bonus on this home was having two decks to sit out on as well. We highly recommend this home; the community it is located in is quiet and peaceful.

We had a medical situation right after arrival that prevented us from staying at the cabin. Bill was very helpful and did everything he could to make our stay at the lake work out.

The cabin was really nice, was a little surprised we had to bring our own linen and towels, but cabin was clean and nice and super close to private lake entrance.

This was our first time visiting Lake Wallenpaupack and wanted a place close enough to the water where we didn't need to drive our kayaks to the water, and this fit the bill. The place was just the right size, had a full kitchen which was great, and a nice back deck. Thank you Bill for the stay!

My wife and I rented over Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. Very cozy and great location! Loved watching the sunsets at the lake access for the community.

Simple pretty cabin very close to the lake. Owner very responsive. We had a really nice time. Only negative for some folks might be no tv but did have WiFi if you bring electronics. Not an issue for us just calling out.

Had a wonderful long weekend in this great cottage which just as easily could have been nestled at the base of a mountain or in the middle of the woods. It's certainly on the smaller side but is deceivingly large for the footprint, especially given the loft space. Beds were comfortable, baseboard heating worked great, WiFi was strong, and the access to firewood for the fireplace made for wonderful evenings. Great location around the Lake and close to lots of activities and restaurants. We used this as home base for skiing at Big Bear, about 25 min away. A great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, and the cabin was cozy. A bonus was the daily sightings of a family of deer that took a stroll through the yard, along with several nice people we met in the neighborhood!

Went for a weekend getaway with my family. Its a cute cabin, minutes away from a few trails, waterfalls which is where we ended up going to since it was a cold rainy day but I would like to be back in summer since its a few blocks away from the lake as well. There was no TV which was mentioned, I’d recommend you not forget to get your laptops or bluetooth speaker.

This beautiful quaint cabin was in the perfect location. We enjoyed a fire and mountain pies the one night and then cooked on the grill and had a fire in the fireplace the next. Adorable little cabin! Owner communicated great. We also went to Hawley and checked out Penny Lane candy store and took a bike ride on the Soarin Eagle Rail Tours. Highly recommend both of those too. Definitely going to visit again.
