ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
The house is in east Old Town- best neighborhood in Chicago for both families or if you are looking to have fun. It is perfect for walks, picnics, boat rides or good old fun in the sand. The beaches are free to the public and have breathtaking city views. Grocery shopping is made easy, seeing as Plum Market and Jewel are located right in the neighborhood. Nearby coffee shops include a 24 hour Starbucks and La Fournette. The Second City only two blocks away and it is a famous theater that specializes in sketch comedy and improv, and has been delighting audiences for over 50 years. Oak street and beginning of Michigan avenue is about 15-20 minute walk.

Location was great and house was very big and had everything we needed.

A large group of us stayed here for 4 days to enjoy chicago - we were actually there for a wedding!
It was a perfect hangout spot and provided plenty of rooms. The downstairs was great for hanging out together and there were plenty of seats.
You can also book the basement unit - we had some friends book it and really enjoyed having the entire building to ourselves~
The area is also great for going out and the train was very close.
The only con I would say is some details of the house are a little broken? But otherwise, the place is super clean and well kept. The rules are strict, but I think it helps protect the property. It was very worth it.

This property was everything described in the listing. It's extremely spacious with tons of living area and bedrooms. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay and located in a very convenient place. The neighborhood was lovely. It was easy to get to the train, but restaurants and other activities were with in walking distance. The host was the best at communication that I've ever experienced. I absolutely recommend this place and would stay there again for future trips to Chicago. Many thanks!

The VRBO and its amenities were great. The space was perfect for our group and the area is awesome for exploring Chicago. Great launching point to get to other spots around the city.

Perfect house for a large group! There are plenty of beds and bathrooms. The location is awesome. The host was super attentive and checked in frequently without being annoying. We had an awesome time!

Perfect property to wind down after a long day at work. Had all the essentials. Host was very quick to respond to messages and inquiries.

What a treat to stay in old town and experience the neighborhood. We loved the space in this home and ease of letting our little dog go outside to potty. Thank you for hosting us!!

We booked this home for our family ages 7 months to 58 as we celebrated my daughter's graduation for grad school. It was perfect for our group. All 9 of us were very comfortable. The multiple kitchens and the 2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds added to the flexibity. We took advantage of early check in and late checkout (for added fee) and that was very helpful. The neighborhood felt very safe and was walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Parking was convenient (included covered parking appreciated). We cooked in, carried out and ate out, and the home was very comfortable for our group. The Master bed/bath are very spacious and we all had space to relax and to get ready for the various events. 4 bathrooms was also very helpful. The outside space is nice too. We will definitely stay here again if we all come to town as a group.

The house was large and had so many beds which allowed our family of 10 plenty of room to sleep and have areas to ourselves. The bathrooms are updated and great. The location was wonderful and within walking distance to so many things. The host communicated regularly and we had a great experience with her and the property! We will definitely stay here again!!

This spacious property was a perfect location for our family of 12 to stay while in Chicago. We each had our own areas and the location was convenient. It is roughly a 15 minute drive to Shedd/Field Museum and only 12 to Navy Pier with fairly easy directions. Lots of food options nearby and safe neighborhood. Would definitely recommend.

This was a great house in a nice part of Chicago. We had a group of 8 adults and 4 children and it was hard to find a house of this size in a good location. Very spacious and free parking for two cars was also a plus. Communication was very quick with the owner. Third floor was very nice with a jacuzzi and big shower.

Coming from four states, we gathered in Chicago for a family weekend. We had all the beds and bedrooms we needed. Location was great for walking to parks, restaurants and transit. Place was good for hanging out together

17 women stayed for a bachelorette party. Plenty of beds and more importantly, plenty of bathrooms! Great location with bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. We could easily access Uber/Lyft to get to other places.

My team hosting a learning session at the location and couldn't have been happier! We were greeted by a nice welcome gift after a full day of flights. The unit was clean, easy to find and a great value! 5 star plus!

Overall experience was good. Parking for more than one car was tough. The VRBO description states 20 ppl can sleep in the house. It does not sleep 20 adults comfortably. 14 adults could
Sleep comfortably at this location. The trifold
Mattress is very thin and the futon is older so I’d suggest younger kids and adolescents. Other than that super responsive and great location!

Our first visit to Chicago… loved the location very central. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance (several dog friendly patio options in the summer). Close to the trains if you want to explore other parts of the city.
Good comms; everything was clean; would return!

This was the perfect space for our bachelorette party of 10. The layout allowed plenty of room for hanging out together in the main area but also plenty of space to spread out away from the group when needed. The are surrounding area offers plenty dining and shopping options within walking distance. Excellent communication from the host.

So much space!

Hostess was very responsive and the place was spacious. Might be tight if you try to get up to 20. Most comfortable with around 14 people.

This was an excellent location and centralized base (close to Sedgwick brown line) for our 20 minute family. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks very much!

We stayed in this VRBO during the marathon with multiple family members and friends staying together for the long weekend. The home was spacious and had everything we needed. Plenty of bathrooms, plenty of beds, laundry. It had it all. Communication with the host was easy and convenient. The home is close to public transportation as well as multiple restaurants and walkable to the water and Lincoln Park Zoo. I would highly recommend staying here!

Perfect for a large group. We loved being walking distance to all things Old Town and a short Uber to anywhere else!

This very spacious house was perfect for three couples and three children. It was very clean with ample linens and a well-stocked kitchen. The location was conveniently close to restaurants and a grocery store. Light sleepers will need to bring a sound machine to sleep through the rumblings of the train. We appreciated the host taking the time to orient us to the house.

This property served us for a business stay during a period of extremely high hotel rates in Chicago. I highly recommend it for both family and business travel.

Overall this was a great place for a large group. 4 full bathrooms made it great!

Wonderful, clean, well stocked! Property manager checked in with me on the first day and several days until my stay which was super helpful. I love the amount of space with plenty of bathrooms and towels. Great location. Love having a garage space and even parking on the street is pretty good.
Very close to the eL stop but can also hear it from the house, so bring ear plugs if you’re a sensitive sleeper. Hopefully vacant overgrown lot across street will be addressed by city of Chicago soon because the area is so perfect otherwise.
My family loved it. Was in town for a nearby wedding. Can walk to Lake Michigan which is the most spectacular part of summers in Chicago!!

Stayed here with a group of 12 and had plenty of space for everyone! Great location with lots to do in Old Town and easy access to the sights in downtown. Would absolutely stay again!
3.0
Overall, the house was fine and met our needs. There were 10 of us in total. This is not a house a large group can comfortably hang out in as there is minimal furniture. The beds/ linens were overall acceptable. The place needs some up keep. There is one TV. However, we didn’t come to Chicago to lounge around this house. We used it as a place to sleep and eat breakfast.

I rented this property for the weekend for 14 people. There was plenty of room and the rooms on the third floor were so spacious! Beds were comfortable and the rooms upstairs had bathrooms attached, which was a nice surprise. The property was clean and in a great area - walking distance from the heart of Old Town with so many awesome bars & restaurants. I would definitely recommend and certainly stay again.
5.0
The house was perfect for our bachelorette party. There was plenty of bathroom space for a large group of girls to get ready at the same time. The 3rd floor was secluded enough too that anyone who wanted to go to bed earlier could without being disturbed by any noise on the 1st floor. Kitchen is very well stocked and there were plenty of extra towels and linens! The location was also great, we never felt unsafe and could walk to a ton of bars and restaurants within 10 mins.

Family vacation.
Had a great stay, good central location for activities. A little too close to train for sleeping.

Great for a Family Stay
Our family stayed here for a graduation in Evanston. The property was well managed with good communication and prompt responses, near a grocery store, and had space for us to gather on the main floor or for a small group to gather on the top floor. Plenty of bathroom spaces, as well. The main amenity is the outstanding response and support of our wonderful host!

Old Town location
We traveled with a group of friends to Chicago for the weekend, and thought the location of this property was phenomenal. There was also plenty of space to spread out with the multiple kitchens, and four different bathrooms. We were minutes away from plenty of bars and restaurants, and fairly walkable to the beach. Would recommend to others in future!

Best part was location
Everything great and as expected
1.5
Very pleasant home, overall. Plenty of bath and bedroom linens and the washer/dryer was a huge plus with our extended family crowd! Kitchen was well stocked and nicely appointed. Location was fantastic!
However, the mattresses in the second floor double room have big divots and are due for replacement.
The DIY lighting in the living/dining area is more than confusing. Even once we figured out where all the switches were, they did not always work reliably.
The host was not very receptive to our mentioning a few safety hazards around the home, such as a faulty breaker, and we wish our interactions with them had been more pleasant.
In the end, a good time was had by all and this home is worth a look if you are bringing a large group to Chicago.
