About this house rental
Welcome to our holiday home in Provence, a stone's throw from the Luberon National Park, and close to Gordes and the 'Golden Triangle Villages'. With three double bedrooms (two can be configured as either King or twin), large heated private pool and modern kitchen and bathrooms, all set in an acre of shaded wooded grounds, we hope that you will love it as much as we do.
Tucked away on a rural no through road, but less than 10 minutes drive from both the centre of L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous for its markets, antiques and restaurants, and pretty Fontaine de Vaucluse, this is the perfect base to unwind by the pool, or to explore the picturesque Luberon villages and Vaucluse countryside, historic Avignon and the Rhone valley. With the help of a local architect, sympathetically refurbished the house in 2017, keeping original features but creating a large, airy open plan kitchen / breakfast room which leads to a spacious and comfortable living room. Everything was new and good quality - German appliances in the kitchen, comfy English beds, boutique bathrooms, white cotton bedding and fluffy towels.
The large (11m x 4m) pool is heated by an air source heat pump and has an electric security cover.
Specifically we have:
• L-shaped kitchen with gas hob, integrated double ovens (including combi/microwave), dishwasher, fridge, two sinks, Nespresso coffee machine. Plenty of glasses, crockery and utensils.
• Adjacent utility room with American fridge-freezer with ice making, washing machine, tumble drier and ironing board
• Dining area with large table, traditional fireplace, high chair, French windows to huge terrace and further door to side terrace
• Double open arches lead to spacious sitting room with sofas, TV (European satellite channels), DVD, fireplace, door to terrace. Air conditioning.
• Further room with table tennis table, doors to terrace
• Large L-shaped terrace around two sides of the house with outdoor dining table, gas BBQ, comfy sofas and sun shades
• Master bedroom with super-king size bed (180cm) or 2 x 90cm beds. Space for cot (travel cot supplied). Air conditioning.
• Second bedroom with super-king size bed (180cm) or 2 x 90cm beds. Access to romantic roof terrace. Air conditioning.
• Bedrooms 1 and 2 share a bathroom with twin basins, full sized bath, walk-in shower and wc
• Third bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room (walk-in shower and basin). Air conditioning.
• All beds made up for your arrival with quality cotton bedding.

A wonderful house so very well equipped with various amenities (i e ) table tennis, heated swimming pool etc in an equally stunning area with so many interesting places to visit. Genevieve the local manager couldn't be more helpful, which she was in an unexpected problem. Highly recommended

Wonderful accommodation in an area of France we hadn’t explored before. Gorgeous house, garden and pool. Everything had been considered for our comfort and a friendly welcome on arrival from local caretaker. Air conditioning in bedrooms a definite plus during current heatwave. We couldn’t have asked for anything more, and lots of family rivalry around the tennis table and pétanque. Fantastic trip too canoeing down the Sorgue with Canoe Evasion - thoroughly recommend that during your stay.
We would definitely recommend staying here, and very much want to return again for another holiday at this house.

A superb house in a superb location - lots of thought has gone into making it a fabulous holiday
Secluded yet 5 minute drive to the centre of the local town. Immediate access to the countryside for walks and biking. Beautiful villages and great activities to do or just relax by a beautiful pool in the shady garden. The boule court was a great extra touch. Host and housekeeper excellent. We shall return!

Nous avons adoré nos vacances inoubliables dans cette jolie maison.
La maison est bien équipée avec beaucoup de goût, elle est confortable, lumineuse et très accueillante.
Nous avons bien profité du jardin ainsi que de la piscine chauffée.
Claire, la propriétaire, est très prévenante et symphatique, la communication par mail était remarquable.
Il faut également accentuer que Geneviève était très accueillante et serviable.

Maison stylée et agréable
Maison stylée, agréable, confortable, propre et bien équipée. Cependant, un peu déçus, notre "coup de coeur" n'a pas été confirmé, bon séjour, sans plus.
Il serait nécessaire de revoir l'entretien et la sécurité de la piscine (alarme) : nous remercions Geneviève pour sa réactivité et pour son accueil professionnel et très chaleureux.

Super Provence
My Family really enjoyed our stay. The house itself is lovely and well-appointed. The bedrooms with their aircon mean that sleeping in the height of Summer is no problem. We loved the indoor/outdoor living and the pool. L'Isle Sur La Sorgue is 6 mins from the house (by car) and is charming with some very nice restaurants. Exploring further afield is well worth it with plenty to do culturally and activity wise. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Magnifique maison haut de gamme dans un emplacement tres calme
C'est une maison tres agreable a tout point de vue: grand confort (literie, clim), bien equipee (cuisine avec tout le necessaire, meme le frigo americain pour l'eau froide et les glacons) et propre.
La maison a ete restauree avec gout et le resultat est tres joli. Les exterieurs sont tres bien arranges avec plusieurs coins pour se detendre et un mobilier de jardin tres confortable. Nous avons profite de la piscine a 29 degres, de la table de ping pong et du terrain de petanque.
L'environnement est calme et en meme temps tout pret de l'Isle sur la Sorgue.

Fantastic Week!
We had an amazing week at this gorgeous house. We are a family of 5 including 3 children between 7 and 11 who absolutely loved it. The house is luxurious and the garden is spectacular. The pool area is something special and we spent many a day relaxing and having fun in this massive pool! The local area is great and the position of the house perfect to allow you to chose whether to partake or not. We had a lovely time at the market in Isle du Sorgue as well as lovely dinners at lovely restaurants. Clair and Martin were the perfect hosts and Genevieve who met us to show us around was just lovely. We managed to explore the local village which has spectacular views as well as going over to Gordes and surrounding areas to admire the lavender. We also went canoeing and tree top adventures for the kids. We would def come back to this lovely place. Thanks again for a brilliant week.

Well equipped and beautiful property
Mas Bois Carré was exactly what we were looking for. The house and exterior have everything to have an enjoyable and relaxing stay. From the welcome to the send off, Geneviève was attentive and welcoming. Bottles of water and rosé/red started the vacation off well. Lots of information provided for activities and tourism in the area.
The pool is not secured, but that was not a problem as we have teenagers. We had to take turns on the chaise swing! Heated pool was a treat and allowed for evening swimming. We also enjoyed the ping-pong table and Pétanque pitch. Be sure to bring mosquito repellant with you. There are coils and electric anti-mosquito items provided, but we were especially attractive to them.
We would definitely stay again and regretted not renting for a longer period! Thanks, Claire!

Beautiful Traditional Provencal Home
Bois Carre is an absolutely beautiful traditional Provencal home with wonderful swimming pool and the reality superceded any expectations we had from the photos. The owners have equipped the home extremely well so you are left wanting for nothing. All three bedrooms are very good double sizes and the beds are wonderfully large and comfortable! The only drawback for us was that we hadn't realised the house didn't have air conditioning and the mosquitos seemed to love our British blood! Location couldn't be better, rural yet very close to town with an Abundance of beautiful villages all around.

Il y a vraiment tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner ( matériel de qualité ) les extérieurs sont spacieux et bien arborés , la maison est très bien située tout près de l’Ile sur la Sorgue très jolie commune, la piscine grande et chauffée, un très agréable séjour.

Simply wonderful property with everything you could wish for. Fabulous setting, pool and facilities. We loved cycling down to Boulangerie for breakfasts, L'Isle sue la Sorgue, Arles, Avignon t and the local Luberon hill top towns are breathtaking.

Beautiful Provencal house sympathetically modernised offering everything for a relaxing holiday.
Claire and Martin have created a delightful holiday home in the heart of Provence. There were four of us staying in the house so there was plenty of space in which to relax either together or find a quiet spot in the shade to read and/or sleep! We had a daily game of boules and although the water in the pool was what would be described as bracing we still had a swim to cool off each day. We also had several games of table tennis. I can imagine that the house will be cosy even in the cooler months with log fires and central heating. The market in L'Isle sur la Sorgue on Sunday morning is well worth a visit as are the many surrounding villages and wine estates. If you like good wine and food then this is a place to stay. We would highly recommend Bois Carre.

Sehr schönes Haus und Garten
Das Haus ist sehr schön und sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch der Garten ist traumhaft. Einen Punktabzug gibt es wegen starker Geruchsentwicklung im Obergeschoss wenn es stark regnet. Dann merkt man, dass das Haus nicht an die Kanalisation angeschlossen ist. Was auch wichtig zu wissen ist: der Pool hat entgegen der Angabe in der Beschreibung! keine Heizung sodass das Wasser im Mai zum baden noch sehr frisch war. Auch gab es nicht die wie in der Beschreibung angegebene Zwischenreinigung nach einer Woche! Dennoch hatten wir einen sehr schönen Urlaub und würden wieder kommen. Die Kommunikation mit der Hausverwalterinund der Besitzerin klappte prima!

Magnifique maison, accueil parfait !
Nous avons passé quelques jours très agréables dans la maison de Claire et Martin, aménagée avec beaucoup de goût et confortable à souhait. Tout est parfait, ainsi que la situation de la maison, proche à la fois du village de Saumane de Vaucluse, de l'Isle sur la Sorgues (pour les courses notamment) et en même temps en pleine nature (plein de balades à pied ou à vélo à faire tout près).
Nous nous sommes sentis particulièrement bien accueillis, grâce notamment à toutes les informations données par nos hôtes avant notre arrivée, à la présence et le sens du service de Geneviève qui s'occupe de la maison, aux bonnes bouteilles de vin...beaucoup d'attentions que nous avons vraiment appréciées !
Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

The perfect place to holiday in Provence
The location was just wonderful, a very peaceful and well appointed house to retreat to at the end of the day, within a stones throw of Isle sur la Sorge (great town). Lots of wonderful hilltop villages to visit within a 30 minute drive, all with local markets selling great local produce to cook with and very good restaurants to eat at. The vineyards were interesting and we had plenty of tasting and buying opportunities, of which we took full advantage! The recommended walks from the house were great with stunning hilltop views along the way which we really enjoyed. The pool at the house was a real joy at the end of a warm day, particularly after a session of table tennis in the sun room! The outdoor terraces gave plenty of options for lunch or dinner when we cooked at the house, and there was often sharp competition to see who got to fall asleep in the garden hammock afterwards. We had such a relaxing time, a real place to unwind and just enjoy. We will be back in the future.
