Miss it already. Excellent location. Great communication with the owner. We had some bug issues at the beginning due to the humidity and hot weather. Cathy immediately took care of it. Always responsive. Place was mint clean too. Comfortable beds. Looks small from the outside but it is quite comfortable inside. Close to ponds and walk/hiking/run in trails. Very quiet. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable stay. :-)

Our stay in Orleans was everything my family had planned for and staying at Cathy's made it such a wonderful trip. The home is was perfect for our family of 5 and our dog with room to spare! My children loved the outdoor shower and how close we were to local Skaket beach. The home was well stocked with everything someone may need on a trip to Cape Cod and after a few hours of unpacking it felt like home. Communication with Cathy over our 2 week stay was amazing and she took care of any of our concerns right away. I would absolutely recommended staying here and look forward to future bookings!

We loved our vacation in Orleans. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and outside with proximity to all of the great beaches. We especially loved our walks to Bakers Pond as well! Very close to lots of shops and restaurants. The kids loved the games in the garage and all of the toys. We hope to be back!

this was so close to Route 6 yet felt
Like we were in the woods. we loved that! A few photos did not reflect the actual furniture in the house, but for 3 of us, we were comfortable and happy!!

I highly recommend this property. We needed a pet friendly home but cleanliness is super important to us, this home was not only clean but comfortable as well. The only thing that needs attention is the outside shower, we couldn’t use it. The host was also extremely flexible and responsive. Also good location 👍🏻

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay in this home. It was very clean and comfortable and close to all of our favorite beaches, restaurants, and trails. The neighborhood is not ideal for walking/biking based on proximity to major roads, but it was quiet and only a 5-10 minute drive to some beautiful spots. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

Early Summer Stay
We stayed at this property in early June, which was a lovely time to visit the Cape. Access to the home was very easy via the keypad on the front door. The layout of the home was somewhat unusual with the master bedroom on the ground floor and the only full bathroom on the second floor. In addition, access to the basement was not available from inside the house. The loveseats in the living area were comfortable and the kitchen table was very spacious. The electric fireplace in the living area made the home feel cozy.
We enjoyed spending time on the deck. As another reviewer mentioned, the house is in a wooded area but the neighbors’ homes, one of which appears to be brand new, are fully visible. Location relative to the beaches was great, with Skaket 5 minutes away and Nauset 10 minutes.

Perfect Location and Comfortable Accommodations
Spent a long weekend in this home in Orleans. Location was perfect. Plenty of privacy, yet close enough to shopping, surrounding towns and beaches. Access to Cape Cod Rail Trail is close to house. Home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner was very responsive to all inquiries.

The house was easy to check into and right off the highway. It was clean and well stocked, there was even a baby gate for the stairs for our 1 1/2yr old. Would love to stay again!

Great Vacation
We had such an amazing time in Orleans, my kids first Cape trip. It was so special and this house had exactly what we needed and additional amenities (my son now loves ping pong). It's a great location to both Skaket and Nauset beaches and to lots of great food spots and shopping. Thank you for making the stay extremely easy!

Great homebase location
The house was the perfect size with all the basic amenities. It is not a walkable or scenic neighborhood but the property is perfect for morning coffee or evening dinner in the sun on the back deck. The best part was that the location was perfectly situated as a homebase for exploring. We visited Nickerson for walks and bikes, Chatham, Skaket beach for sunsets, Eastham nature trails, Salt Pond Nauset bike trail, Wellfleet and PTown and Dunes. Great take out breakfasts and dinners nearby. Totally recommend if you plan to be out during days but want a cozy place to crash at end if day.

Perfect getaway
Bright and clean. Well-appointed. Great location. My husband said it was his favorite rental house (and we've rented a lot of houses) and my 4yo wanted to move in. It was very comfortable and a great layout for 3 adults and 2 kids. The only thing to know is that it does have some steep steps if you are traveling with someone with mobility issues, but there is a first-floor bedroom.

Charming place on the Cape
Very good location for access to beaches, the National Seashore, and things to do on the Outer Cape. The house is a great size and could easily accommodate a family, with bunk beds and a twin bedroom upstairs. We enjoyed our time there. Rating 4 instead of 5 stars because:
-The house is closer to neighbors than we thought based on the listing. The photo suggesting the house faces a "wooded area" is no longer accurate, as the facing lot has been clear-cut and a large construction project started. Construction started at 7am while we were there (but maybe this will be done by the summer/);
-An electrical issue meant that we could not use the fireplace or TV in the living room. The surge protector on that wall shut off every time the fridge cycled on; and
-We saw several carpenter ants inside while we were staying.
VRBO does not give me the option of sending Cathy this feedback privately. We did contact Cathy a few times during our stay and she was a very responsive host. Some of the things I mention here are tough to correct during a stay, but I hope they'll be addressed (or the listing corrected) soon.

Christmas at the Cape
Great weekend at the Cape. Very easy check. House was inviting and had a well equipped kitchen. Very cozy environment which was nice for just the 4 of us. It was great we could bring our dog and there was a dog bed which he was too big for but enjoyed anyway. Very convenient to grocery store and restaurants. Had takeout from Land Ho! and it was very good.

Lovely stay for 5 adults and a pup
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The proximity to Bakers Pond and the trails of Nickerson Park was fabulous for walking the dog and running. The beach was just a short drive away, and local coffee just down the way as well. Overall a perfect fit for our needs of relaxing with family, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors!

Wonderful stay
We spent two weeks here and highly recommend it. Orleans is a great central location on the Cape, with the best coffee/sandwich/treats spot, the Hot Chocolate Sparrow ( we were there multiple times a day!). The house was clean and a fine size for a family with two teens. And when the garage door broke (I think my daughter put the wrong code in multiple times and gummed it up) the owner sent someone to fix it right away. She also has really nice sharp knives, which I appreciated since we cooked so much. You can walk to trails that go around the pond, but be aware the you aren’t in a very walkable area... if you look at the map it seems like you’re super close to Shaw’s, and Nickerson state park (which is gorgeous), but you definitely need to drive there, with no sidewalks and 6A to contend with. No big deal, just FYI. Enjoy!

Really nice, big deck with excellent table and chairs where we ate all our meals. Neat and clean, just as advertised

Close to Baker Pond
We enjoyed our stay although it was a bit tight for 6 adults. Best for a family with younger kids. The house was airy, bright and the kitchen well appointed with everything you need even a lobster pot. The deck space was a bit tight for our group. We had an issue with the mattresses in the upstairs bedrooms as they were springy and not usable for adults. However, the owner did remedy by buying new beds which were delivered a few days after our check-in date. The owner does provide linens and towels which is very nice. She was also extremely responsive and quick to recommend restaurants. My only suggestions is that a dehumidifier be installed in the garage. Due to the strong musty smell in the garage, we did not end up using the ping pong table which we had looked forward to doing. In addition, we could not use the beach chairs as they were covered with mold. I suggest you bring your own chairs. The location is great, but does not have easy access to the bike trail as you would need to go on a very busy road to get there so not recommended for kids. Baker's Pond is very close by and a great place to go for a swim. The water is clear and the bottom is sandy. Overall we had a nice stay and highly recommend this vacation home.

Just Like Home at the Cape
My husband and I and our four year-old twins absolutely loved the house. It's fresh and bright and has everything you might need, all the way down to spices and measuring cups. Cathy was lovely and incredibly responsive. We adored our stay and didn't want to go home. We'll be back!

Central location to great swimming and recreation
The house is in a great location via a short drive to some key Cape experiences: Nickerson State Park, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, Orleans town center, Brewster, and Skaket and Nauset Beaches. This smallish salt box cape is best for one family. It is in need of some upgrades to make a stay a bit more comfortable and appealing. Entering the house can be awkward, in that, the main entrance is up several stairs. There is no garage access to the house and if coming home at night, it is a bit difficult to see. The neighborhood is very quiet and there is a small conservation area nearby that you can walk to.

Great House!
We loved our stay and loved that the house was conveniently located but also private. Very clean and well equipped for renters. It felt more like a home than a rental. The house had everything we needed and even our dog had a great week!
