We loved every thing about this condo. It is on the first floor, located 7 minutes from the beach, enough space for all our family members, and allowed to bring our dogs! We felt very comfortably there.

We love this condo for its location on the lagoon and proximity to the beach. It’s clean and well equipped. The owners continue to make upgrades to the property each year.

The unit was clean, comfy and well equipped. A short walk (5-10 minutes) from the beach and an easy walk to dining options and parks. The porch was a lovely quiet spot to relax with a book and listen to the wildlife.

Great example of “you get what you pay for.” This condo is in a great location, had clean and comfortable beds, we were glad to be able to bring our dog, and was clean upon arrival. Vacasa was perfect to work with. That being said, this house definitely shows its age with wear and tear. Couches and carpet are old and dingy. The kitchen is the most poorly stocked kitchen of any rental we’ve ever stayed in. Half the cabinets and drawers were empty - the others had MINIMAL and old cookware, etc. Doors to the laundry/utility closet had been removed and looked junky. All in all, we loved Kiawah, the beaches (which we walked & biked to) were gorgeous, dinner at The Sanctuary was amazing. We had a great time and this condo was far and away the best deal economically - and for a reason.
Also, we saw so many alligators on this trip - several swimming right outside our bedroom windows :)

Great property and location! My only complaint is the master bed is broken on the left side. I didn’t investigate why…
Husband fishes in the lagoon behind the condo and caught several. Lots of alligator activity as well! Thank you for a greasy stay!

This condo is conveniently located mid island and a short walk to the beach. The kitchen is well equipped. The porch looks out on a lagoon complete with alligator. It was very clean.

Spacious condo with two bedrooms and two baths, a good size galley kitchen open to dining area and great room with patio doors opening to a large screened in porch overlooking a beautiful pond with all kinds of birds.
The condo is well stocked with most necessities to start you off on your stay there. I stayed a month, so I had to buy basics like paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc. The coffee pot is an old fashioned drip coffee maker but it served its purpose. The frig is small, but usable. The master bed is king size and nice, but not the best mattress. The master bath is very nice with a sink, dressing area and a separate room for tub and toilet. The beach is a very short walk from the condo, about 1/4 mile, and it's a gorgeous beach with very little traffic/people.
Customer service was very responsive to a few things that needed to be fixed. The neighbors upstairs are very nice people and very quiet. There was ample parking.
I loved my stay and would go back.

Great location. Well appointed.
Pet friendly.
Master bath commode runs. Easy fix.
A few bugs, not many over a 10 day stay. Also, an easy fix.
All told, a fine place.

We had a wonderful visit and enjoyed being able to include our dog. The condo was very clean, nicely appointed, and a short walk from the beach. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

We love Kiawah Island and have vacationed here for 35 years and always leave wishing we could stay longer! This rental was only a 5 min walk to the beach and had a lovely screened in porch overlooking the pond. The master bed and one of the twin beds were comfortable but the twin bed by the closet needs replaced. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

Great back porch
Loved watching the alligators and egrets on the peaceful screened porch. Having a place to bring our dog was important, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. After staying at both East and West beach rentals, we realize we prefer the convenience of Freshfields, so this location is a bit far for us. I would recommend changing the carpet to solid surface flooring.

Hull Stay
The condo was beautifully appointed, and the view from the screened porch was spectacular! We were lucky enough to have a resident alligator we were able to watch some mornings while we had our coffee! Our stay was lovely in every way and we would definitely stay at #4849 again if we have a chance!

Short walk to the beach
Short 5 minute walk to the beach. A bit dated and smaller than anticipated. Red aunts in the back bedroom with twin beds.

Lagoon
We enjoyed being close to the lagoon. Sitting on the porch watching alligators was a wonderful place for morning coffee and meals. Did not enjoy the elephants that stayed above us! Maybe post some etiquette rules for people staying on 2nd and above floors.

Good location, meant for golfers
The residence was fine but seemed to be more suited to golfers spending a week playing and going out to dinner. The cooking supplies were sparse and could be updated.

Good location, but needs a lot of love
The location is fantastic, but unfortunately this place needs a lot of TLC. Everything is old and dated. The master bathroom had paint peeling off the walls and the shower was pretty old and grungy. In the kitchen, the pots and pans were gross and all burned. The TVs are also tiny and not even in HD. Overall, the layout and size is good, but just needs new living room furniture, pots & pans, and a deep cleaning / touch up. the rental company was easy to work with.

Long weekend get-away
The house had the basic necessities and a comfortable bed. It was clean and tidy. It was about .5 mi walk to the beach, but also had the Sanctuary hotel right there so access to coffee in the mornings and other restaurant options. Lots of trails and beautiful scenery nearby.

Close to Turtle Point Golf Course
We have been coming to Kiawah for many years. This is our first time renting a villa in Turtle Cove. It’s close to the golf course . It’s kind of a hike (5 minutes walk) to the beach . The condo is as pictured on line. It’s clean but could use a little update. The beds were very soft ( we like a harder mattress. Personal preference) . When we arrived we discovered that there weren’t any hangars. Vacasa came quickly with some. The check in and check out process was very easy. We love coming to Kiawah and plan to return in the Fall. Probably renting something with an ocean view.

Very nice setting
Right on water master bedroom and porch a delight. Gators appear well fed so keep your small kids and pets away from lagoon. Kitchen lacked cooking sheet and couch/mattresses past their prime. No grill. Lots of kids in this 8 unit attached building so if adult only (and downstairs) be prepared for some noise. Dated TV’s on old fashioned cable no streaming option. Folks managing property 5 star only issue we experienced was birds getting in porch through hole in screen but quickly fixed.

Great views from porch! This place was clean and the most comfortable king size bed in the master bedroom!

The unit was clean and well supplied. We had a comfortable stay, and loved spending time on the porch wildlife viewing. The walk to the beach was short, and the sunrise - full moon was spectacular.

Very much in need of rehabbing!
The pictures make the villa look bright and cheery. It is not. It is run down and old and not worth the money. We chose this property because it allowed pets, so I knew it might not be luxurious, but truly it is sad and run down. The owners should be embarrassed to rent this place. I am sure they would never themselves stay at a place in this condition. It smells. The carpet is stained. The closets are broken. The door knobs are loose. The light bulbs were burnt out. The curtains are torn. The shower curtain is stained. The furniture, including all of the beds, is worse than anything you would find at a garage sale. It is stained and sunken-in. The mattresses in the extra room are joke. They are so old that the springs make so much noise nobody could ever actually sleep on them. Maybe the saddest feature are the barren walls. When wall hangings have broken, they have not even attempted to replace them. In at least a dozen places all that remains in the walls are the nails and hooks sticking out of the wall where apparently there had once been some type of decor. During our stay, we returned to the villa to find a small picture had fallen off the wall. When we examined it more closely, the frame had previously broken and had been mended with Scotch tape. Pitiful! For our entire month-long stay, there was construction in one of the villas in our building. Even though it was an inconvenience for us, (they turned off our water and a building inspector walked into our villa unannounced), at least it did show some owners take pride in their property and are attempting to make improvements. Truly, I don’t know how the owners of this villa can in good conscience continue to rent out this property.

Good for dogs, people not so much
Time for owner to reinvest in property. Kitchen cabinets had peeling paint, tub tile surrounds were broken and moldy, carpet and furniture need replaced. Stains on walls, doors, etc.

November break
Pros. Great location near the beach with a lagoon view. We enjoyed watching the wildlife from the porch.
Cons. The unit was very tired and not very clean. On our arrival the unit had an unpleasant smell. We discovered a glass tumbler on the patio table with a large cigar butt in it. The smell was cigar. Due to COVID, the unit was supposed to be sanitized on all high touch surfaces. We found toothpaste on the faucet and handles in the bathroom. Fortunately we brought sanitizing wipes and wiped down the entire unit when we arrived. There was also only 6 hangers in a 2 bedroom unit.

Great location from the beach... adorable pond with wildlife all around. Was a perfect fit and short notice rental was a breeze! Plus I was able to bring the family pup! Great choice.

Beautiful place, close to the beach
This appartement is absolutely charming. Well decorated and well equipped with all the necessities for a restful stay. Walk to the beach is about 5 minutes through the golf-side neighborhood and over a couple of lovely bridges. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us !

Average unit
The location to beach was great. The property management could use improving for the weekly rentals. We arrived after 5pm to give plenty of time for cleaning. The unit was unlocked. On the surface looked clean. However both shower curtains had pink mold all over the curtain. Cleaning person would had seen. No sheets for pull out sofa. Extra comforter stuffed in the closet. Clearly not cleaned. 1/4th roll of paper towels and half a sponge for kitchen. NO extra trash can liners. I called management about the liners. Only one is provided so had to go to store for more plus dishwasher detergent and roll of paper towels.

Very enjoyable stay
Very clean and comfortable and everything was in excellent working condition. It was one of the best dog friendly units we have stayed in and only a short walk to the beach. Weather was excellent the first week of June.....rather mild and not too humid. We would definitely stay at this unit again
