Nestled in the Alyeska resort area of Girwood. This house provides the perfect home away from home

Great location, plenty of space, enjoyed our stay.

This is a gorgeous and unique property. It was generally comfortable and was really clean. We wished the beds and pillows were less cheap/more comfortable given the price of the stay.

This property has great potential. Good location, spacious and nice kitchen but really needs some repairs, especially the electrical system. We mentioned this in our review with manager and no response.

Girdwood is great. Quick walk to a brewery. Lovely wooded location and lots of room. A little dated, but otherwise nice!

This home was perfect for a ski week. Very short drive to the resort and the town of Girdwood, and there was plenty of space for our group of 8. Well stocked kitchen. Disappointed that the hot tub was broken but they did let us know well in advance.

The house and location were great. This is a really nice space. Beautiful spot too. The house is suffering from a lack of maintenance though. The oven didn’t work, hot tub would only work on full hot, dishwasher didn’t work, most blinds in the house didn’t work, etc.

What a great house for a big group. We stayed here with our family for a hockey tournament in Anchorage slept all 8 of us comfortably. Such a unique gem!!! Highly recommend!

Property is very ran down, needs alot of updates and repairs. We could not get the stove or oven to work til day 5 of our trip, local manger came in and fixed it but we still smelled gas when we used either of them, had to open doors and windows to use. We still enjoyed Girdwood and loved the scenery the mountains there are breathtaking.

This place was tucked away in the woods but still close enough to everything! Lots of stairs but that’s ok! It helped after all the eating we did. The glass room was super cool. If I wasn’t on the porch drinking my coffee, I was in the glass/sunroom. The place was equipped with everything you need. Fabulous place to stay!

We are locals who decided to book a chalet to stay in for a wedding we were attending in the area. Upon arrival the check in information given to me was incorrect. It took 15 minutes of being on hold and prompting the customer service agent for more information. She sounded like she was reading off instructions that we didn’t have. When we got into one lock box - a key was missing (it was under the deck and dishes still in washer) the other lock box has a separate code and so does the door.
We were only there for 2 nights (a $900 + weekend though) and the hot tub was Luke warm on our arrival. No instructions or assistance in trying to figure out how to make it work. When i messaged the customer service agent through the app the reply was “sure you can turn the heat down!” We figured it out but for a 2 night stay and only 1 with an actual Hot - Hot Tub is a little frustrating. I feel like if there would have been ab actual host to talk to there wouldn’t have been so many issues.
The 3rd step up on the stair case to the master bedroom has a nail sticking up through the carpet. Took my husband and I multiple stabs to remember to walk on the left side of the stair case. The master bedroom bed is 2-Twins pushed together and it feels like they put a piece of plywood down with a piece of memory foam on top and called it a day.
All in all this is still a wonderful property- we love girdwood and the fact that we could have our dog with us was a huge game changer.

Excellent stay in Girdwood. Beautiful chalet in beautiful setting! Well stocked kitchen for cooking, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Would recommend for families & friend groups. Property photos & listing were accurate. Bonus for us was walkability to beautiful waterfall hike within neighborhood. Also convenient to downtown Girdwood, Aleska Resort, and many activities.

Our family has found that spending time together under one roof is special. This place was comfortable and clean. The fact pets were welcomed was such a bonus. We had an enjoyable weekend.

The cabin had everything we needed. The open living spaces made for very comfortable meal time & relaxing after skiing. Beautiful views & the hot tub was nice.

We spent a ski weekend with our family and enjoyed the house very much. The upper bedroom feels like your sleeping in the tree canopy. Plenty of beds and bedding, well-equipped kitchen, and quiet location.

We had the pleasure of staying over the weekend for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day! Really enjoyed the space this place provided to get the family together for the holidays. We all really loved the beautiful table and the sun room in the kitchen is a great feature to the house. Vacasa was fast at getting back to me about any questions and overall didn’t have any complaints about this stay. Thank you!

The kitchen was well supplied and the sun room breakfast nook area was very nice. The house has a lot of character and would be a great place to stay with some basic upgrades. The couch has torn cushions. The lounge futon is about to fall apart. The hot tub was not operational (water not hot). The heating unit behind the bunk bed is loose and not attached to the wall. There was no trash can in the kitchen or main level bathroom. I think it was in the downstairs bedroom. The master bedroom did not have blinds on the big windows. Simple updates would make a huge difference.

We had 6 adults and, given it advertises 8+, we had some unhappy guests in our party. Two twin bunk beds as advertised but otherwise one king, a full bed, and a futon. Not very comfortable for a couples weekend as we thought it would be. One of the couples ended up sleeping in the bunk beds.
Hot water doesn’t last very long. It went cold and then entirely shut off when one guest was showering.
Cleaning fees are ridiculous when you have to drive the trash a mile down the road in your personal vehicle.
Overall pretty place in a great location but not the best experience.

Overall the place was great, fantastic location, very clean. Only thing it could use are some more comfortable mattresses.

Good location. Cozy home. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. House is clean. A unique house design.

This place was perfect for a girls weekend getaway. 4 bedroom house allowed each of us to have our own room. We really enjoyed having coffee in the solarium in the morning with a view of the forest all around, and soaking in the hottub after a long hike.

Nice house, nice location. Furniture and hot tub need some upkeep

House is nicer than pictures. Beautiful kitchen area make you feel like in middle of forest. Some rooms missing shades but overall very lovely

Pretty clean for the most part. Really needs some upgrading. Main couch had big ripped holes. Beds were hard as wood. But sheets and bathrooms were clean and cabin in nice area

Overall this property worked well for our purposes, but there were a few hiccups. The hot tub had been set so hot, we could not use it the first day. Some of the windows lacked screens so could not open in the summer and some of the windows lacked shades, which is quite a problem for sleeping in Alaska in the summer.

Clean, very unique home and central to many cool Alaskan activities.

Our original property became unavailable. Vacasa did an amazing job getting us an alternative. My family and I were pleased with the new property.
4.0
Run down and smelly.
The place had an odor when we walked in the door. One of the beds had a very thin mattress pad on it. Was very uncomfortable. The hot tub was boiling hot and no one could get in it. The sofa upstairs had huge rips with the stuffing coming out. There were no clean sheets available to put on the sofa bed. The bathroom light over the sink in one of the main bathrooms would not switch on. All of the bulbs for completely burnt out. This property was definitely well used and if you are going to have a college party it is no worries. But if you want to have a family gathering it is not the place for you. We also notice a soft spot in front of one of the doors in the floor going out to one of the balconies. The banister was very loose on one side going up and down the main staircase. Definitely need some repairs here.

Pictures really don’t do it justice! We enjoyed ourselves so much.

Hidden gem!
This property was amazing! The biggest perk had to have been the fact the hot tub was actually HOT! Too many times it's a lukewarm tub. The atrium was the second-best feature of this property. It was a dreamy escape from the city. Thanks for having us!

great place to relax
Loved the hot tub. Could use a blender, waffle maker and more trash bags.

Great spot for a bigger group
This property worked well and it didn't break the bank for our fairly large group.

Family Vacation
The house was very nice, but the furniture was very uncomfortable. The king bed was fabulous but the other beds could use replacements.
Overall? We had a wonderful time!! Hiking, skiing, snow machining and whale watching! Can’t wait to go back!!

Best Spring Break!
We are from Florida, so this was a non traditional Spring break. We traded sand and salt water for snow and mountains. It was fantastic. The cabin was spacious, and clean upon arrival. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. Kitchen is well equipped for home cooked meals. We visited the Crow Creek Mercantile several times to pick up some groceries. They are a bit on the expensive side, $12 for a 12 pack of Coke. We found that the gas station at Seward Hwy and Alyeska is a bit more reasonable. Did some skiing/snowboarding at the resort and snowmachining out to Spencer Glacier. Highly recommend Alaska Wild Guides for snowmachining. We are looking forward to coming back!

Great getaway
Perfect way to escape and enjoy the mountain. They had everything we needed to have an awesome trip. We will love to come again.
