Exceptional

Owners are very responsive. Awesome view. Nice terrace. Clean. You can play billards and grill. 2 rooms are awesome, one is with separate bad. Easy transfer to airport and to Funchal.

If somebody wants to be near restaurants/night life, this is not the place. We love it. It was a very calm villa neighbourhood.

Exceptional

The house is big and cozy, everything you need is there, even binoculars to enjoy the incredible view over the bay of Funchal. Patricia is a great host, we were welcomed with bread, ham, cheese, fruit, wine and cake. If we had any questions, we could always turn to her and she was happy to help - thank you very much. We were visiting as a family with 2 teenage sons for 10 days, and the house was perfect for that, also because of the two beautiful bathrooms. We couldn't use the playroom with the pool because there was so much to experience on this great island. But if it had rained, we wouldn't have been bored in the house either. We can only recommend Patricia and her house and would stay there again at any time.

PERFECT, we can't wait to come back!

Even prior to booking Patricia was in excellent contact with us, answering any questions that we had. Patricia very kindly allowed us to check in slightly early and check out late, which was a HUGE help considering our flight times (this was dependant on availability). We used Uber to get to the villa from the airport (I would recommend if you are familiar with Uber, using this in Funchal, the cost of travel seems much cheaper than taxis and we had very friendly experiences using Uber). Upon arriving at the villa, it was very easy to let ourselves in using the key safe and once we were in, we knew we were definitely going to come back to stay. Patricia gave us a warm welcome and brought us fruit, wine and cake. The villa is very spacious, airy and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped, with kitchen utensils, an oven, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, fruit juicer, microwave, toaster with table and chairs, more than you could need. The dining/lounge room has couple of large sofas and TV with a dining room table with loads of homely touches. Loads of board games and even some binoculars! From the lounge is the hallway to the bedrooms. Each room was a good size, we were only two of us so decided to stay in the room that leads onto the balcony, additionally the one that has an en suite bathroom. The pool was a great size for us, there were plenty of chairs and loungers spaced around the grounds of the villa. Although there seemed to be a few other villas surrounding Villa São Paulo, it is very secluded and private. The views from the villa and in particular from the room we decided to sleep in, were an absolute delight to wake up each day to. You can see the ocean for miles and across to your right, a beautiful view of Funchal town. The games room was a great addition, many a time playing pool! Already planning another trip back ASAP. If we could, we would move to this villa. Fantastic holiday, WOULD RECOMMEND 1000 times. Thank you!
