About this cabin rental

Unlike most cabins in the area, this cabin is right in Alpine Helen. Located on the Chattahoochee River, it's just a short walk into downtown Alpine Helen and the Oktoberfest Festhalle. Park your car and walk to town. For about the same price as a motel suite, you get 2 big bedrooms, living/dining rooms, full kitchen, washer & dryer and two jetted bathtubs. Best of all, you get the privacy and quite a motel room could never offer. Each bedroom has one queen sized bed. The fully equipped kitchen has solid surface countertops & ceramic tile floors, microwave, and dishwasher. There is a gas grill on the riverside deck. Make Helen Riverside Cabin your luxury 'base camp' for exploring all of Northeast Georgia. Right next door we also have the four bedroom Helen Riverside Retreat, VRBO property #2447604 https://www.vrbo.com/2447604?noDates=true. If you have a really big family group, rent both and be side by side!

What's in the cabin.: All cooking utensils and linens are provided. There are jetted bath tubs in each bath with a two person jetted tub in the downstairs bath. The floors in the baths are also ceramic tile. Towels and linens are provided. There is a flat screen smart TV in the living room and flat smart TVs in the bedrooms. Free WiFi service is included. The owners live in Helen, so if there are any problems, we'll be there to make it right.

The covered riverside deck looks over the Chattahoochee River. The street side view looks over horse pastures and toward historic Hamby Mountain. Located within walking distance to restaurants, shops and activities in Helen, Helen's Riverside Cabin is also just minutes from Unicoi State Park, Anna Ruby Falls, the Old Sautee Store, Innsbruck Golf Course, Appalachian Trail, Lake Burton, Lake Chatuge, and much more. Let this be your luxury 'base camp' for exploring all of Northeast Georgia. The Chattahoochee River flows under just 50' from our cabin!

The parking area is limited to a maximum of four cars. No pets. No smoking or vaping inside the cabin. For the security of the property and safety of our guests, there are security cameras outside the house, but there are absolutely no cameras inside. To avoid additional charges, please be accurate with the number of guests in your party when making your reservation. Understating the number of guests can result in an additional charge. After your final payment and two days prior to your arrival date, we will send you a complete welcome email with the check in procedure.

We stayed at this property two years in a row. The house is beautiful and perfect for my wife and me. It’s comfortable and very well maintained. We enjoy sitting on the porch and watching the river flow by. It’s a very short walk into town so there is really no need to move your car once you arrive.

The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The best part is you can enjoy walking to the restaurants and shopping stores. Sitting on the porch and listening to the river was very relaxing. Will definitely go back!

The cabin stay was amazing! The house is beautiful with all the features included. We spent a good amount of out time outside on the beautiful deck overlooking the Chattahoochee -Relaxing! Short walk to town to enjoy the charming town of Helen.

I now understand why so many people have posted about staying multiple times at this cabin. It truly is the perfect location! We enjoyed watching people tube down the river after we went tubing ourselves. Then, we walked to Betty’s Country Store to pick up some steaks to cook on the BBQ grill on the porch. The next day, we walked around Helen a couple of times and returned to the cabin to rest. With a rainstorm approaching, we headed to the Fun Factory before it hit and found plenty to do inside while it rained. Not only is the cabin in the perfect location, but it is also beautiful and cozy, with lots of extras such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, extra blankets, and even a bunch of sticks for tubing. Book this cabin now before someone else does!!!

We love this cabin, this was our third stay here. This cabin is alway very clean and well equipped.. Riverside cabin is very cozy and comfortable. Great porch with rocking chairs over looking the river. Very ptivate and quiet.

Lovely spot right on the river. Enjoyed spending time on the porch as well as by the firepit watching the tubers go by. Convenient location as it was very easy to walk to downtown avoiding traffic and parking. Fully stocked kitchen allowed for making meals easy.

Everything was wonderful and the hosts were easy to communicate with when setting up our stay. The house has the best location in town - close to everything but private, on the river, great deck and outdoor space, great kitchen, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again!

It was very peaceful with the river flowing in backyard. I only have one recommendation, it would be nice to have robes there for people to wear around the house. We only travel with carryons and my housecoat wont fit in it. I sure needed it while we were there. Besides that. It was very nice to walk around town and chill out.

This property was exactly like the photos. A very easy walk into the town of Helen. Very close to many places for day hikes. The cabin was very relaxing, situated right on the Chattahoochee river… beautiful view from the porch! It was a perfect getaway!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Helen Riverside Cabin and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the immaculate condition of the property, which boasted upscale appliances and thoughtful amenities that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The cabin’s proximity to downtown Helen – just a half-mile walk – offered the perfect blend of convenience and seclusion. Nestled on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, it provided a serene retreat that felt like a true cabin in the woods. Our host was exceptionally kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. What stood out most, however, were the thoughtful touches throughout the cabin. From extra lounge chairs for relaxing by the river, to a ready supply of firewood for the fire pit, and an abundance of towels, blankets, and pillows – it was clear that every detail had been carefully considered to enhance our experience. We didn’t encounter a single negative aspect during our stay, which speaks volumes about the quality of the property and the level of care from our host. This is the sweetest little cabin right on the river, a few minutes walk into town and an easy drive to Meadows at Mossy Creek in Cleveland and Yonah Mountain Vineyard-locations for our daughter's rehearsal dinner and wedding! We could not have enjoyed our stay more!

Great communication with the host allowed for easy check in and out. The location is great, only a walk to downtown Helen, and still have immediate access to the river. The only issues we faced were the TV in the downstairs bedroom went out on us while we were there and a few nails on the porch are a little high that could prove to be something to watch for with barefoot little ones.

We very much enjoyed this lovely little cabin. Everything about it was perfect. It has the feel of a cabin in the woods with the river running behind in, but the walk-ability of in-town living. Check-in and out was easy, the owners very responsive and friendly, the accommodations were exactly what we needed. We will return!

We have stayed at this cabin 6 times over the years. It is as clean and new looking as it was the very first time. The river being right there is so wonderful. The neighborhood is quiet but just a block and a half walk and you're in downtown Helen. The house keeping is amazing and the owner is so very nice and always there if needed. We will be back again for stay #7. The Young Family.
