Welcome to Plum Island! Come and relax at our cottage that sits on a quiet dead end street. Walk the path of 250 steps to the beach; sit, swim, walk, fish, watch and listen to the surf, meditate, beachcomb, stargaze, inhale the medicinal ocean ions. If you do drag yourself off the beach, Newburyport, Cape Ann to the south, and New Hampshire and Maine to the north await you. There are accommodations for 6 guests (one queen bed, one double bed, and one pull-out couch). Enjoy the large deck to rest and read or cook and dine.

Guests are responsible for their own bed linens, blankets, pillows, and towels.

We couldn't have been happier with the cleanliness and location of this cottage. It is steps to the beach that we enjoyed beautiful sunrises. The cottage is equipped with everything that you need in the modern, open concept kitchen and living room. The welcome and communication with the property owners was also excellent. I highly recommend this cottage .

This place was great, very close to the beach which was nice to have a short walk every day. The owner was very welcoming and even brought us a few extension cords when we asked if she had any. We had 3 adults and one 4 year old. The smallest bedroom is attached to the main bedroom which worked out for us.

The property had everything we needed as an extended family- parking, a grill, outdoor shower and a lovely open floor plan. With a short walk to either wild waves or calm waters for the children, we plan to visit again next year. The bunk bed room is very small, so plan accordingly.

We had a very relaxing stay at the cottage , great location close to the beach . The owner was very friendly meeting us at check in and sharing some “local” knowledge . My only complaint was there were no pillows provided

We arrived late at night and was our first time at this cabin .picture online was not as updated as it actually was ,,, comfy ,,,awesome bedroom layout for family traveling with multi-generations. Dunes and beach just a short walk on very quiet road,,,,loved the sea walls,,, close by to lots of history and attractions !!!! Would have loved the ability to use yard and a fire pit for chilly night would be the cherry on top !!! Overall excellent for cleanliness and proximity !!!!❤️❤️👍👍

Highly Recommend this adorable beachy cottage

This cottage is adorable and well decorated for a beach theme. Its clean and organized. The owner Mary met us at the house. She was quick to respond with all communication. The house is so close to several beach entrances. Remember you need to bring pillows towels sheets and all linens for your trip since the house doesn't provide them. In my opinion the house is better than it looks in the photos. Its really cute and nice. I would definitely rent here again. The little bunk bed room is connected to the bedroom with the queen so my son was near us which was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful beach house vacation

Our family had a fabulous visit to PIum Island at the cottage. The home was adorable and perfect for our stay with our young children. Mary-Corrine , Shane’s Mother, met us upon arrival and was very welcoming. She was responsive when the toaster broke and delivered a new one to us the next day. The kids complained a little that the bunk bed wasn't the most comfortable, but all in all, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend and are already planning to book the property again when we come back next year.

We had a wonderful week on the island, enjoying the beach and Newburyport. The cottage is very clean and adorably decorated. We spent a ton of time just sitting out on the porch listening to the many different bird calls and enjoying the sun. The walk to the beach was a bit difficult for older folks, and I'd recommend wearing sneakers/shoes, not flip flops, as the sand can get extremely hot and it's a bit of a walk. Totally worth it for the privacy and location on the beach. I would also recommend bug spray for the beach and porch. Our favorite part was watching the newly hatched piping plover chicks learn to hunt at the water's edge - just amazing! Highly recommend this spot and will likely be returning next summer!

Wonderful location

A group of 3 friends booked this cabin near the beach. The location is perfect. The host is wonderful--she's a wealth of information and brought us fresh eggs and wine! The only negative is the bedrooms are in need of updating. The beds are very creaky; the room with the bunk bed was smaller than tiny and the bed was very uncomfortable. We still loved our time there!

Lovely rental in amazing location

I had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The property owners made sure the rental was in excellent condition and they provided so many extra touches to make it welcoming- going above and beyond. The location is right next to the beach and it was so easy to get there. I can't wait to bring my family back because I think this set up is wonderful for adults and families with children. I loved exploring Plum Island and the neighboring center of Newburyport. This trip was everything I was hoping for and more!

I visited with two long time friends and wanted to show them the beauty of Plum Island. Mary-Corrine , Shane’s Mother met us and was wonderful. There were flowers on the table and a bottle of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, our favorites. She also dropped off two dozen fresh eggs from her farm for us. Delicious I highly recommend. We will return again and again in the future.

Beautiful and convenient stay

We had a lovely LDW here just steps from the beach. We were able to enjoy our stay and go the the beach a few times per day between babies napping. Very relaxing! We were even able to get out for night out in downtown Newburyport for dinner which was less than a fifteen minute drive from the cottage. We hope to come back next year!

Mary Corrine (Shane's mom) very nice, brought us farm fresh eggs and a welcoming bottle of wine.. much appreciated. Great cozy place, deck is so nice for morning coffee and very much enjoyed sitting out at night beautiful sunsets and watching the stars., walk to the beach a little difficult. Personally, I prefer Sandy Point. much calmer and softer sand.,no drop off. Very nice kitchen, Shower is teeny tiny and living area furniture could use a little updating. Overall, if you want a quiet place, and the beach. I would definately recommend.

My family just returned from a week at the Cozy Cottage. It was a perfect vacation. The cottage was spotless when we checked in. Plenty big for the family and visitors. I actually think the pics make the inside look smaller than it is. Living room area is quite spacious. And deck is brand new and big. We've rented on PI before but further from the beach. Being so close really changed our experience for the better. The ease of carrying beach gear or the ability to run home for lunch/bathroom was terrific. I even happened to be up early one morning and easily walked to the beach to watch the sunrise. Shane and Mary-Corrine were responsive, showed us everything when we arrived and then left us alone. Super nice and easy peasy. Couldn't ask for more.

The cottage is adorable, very clean and cheerful. There is a fully stocked, beautiful new kitchen, nice bathroom and two comfortable queen beds, as well as a set of bunk beds. It's a long hike to the beach along a sandy path, but the beach is wonderful! The only issue was that the trash had to be put out by 7:00 am. on Saturday morning. We were advised not to put it out the night before. As it turned out the trash collectors didn't arrive until 9:10. Also, the living room furniture isn't that comfortable. We would love to rent again and I've already recommended this cottage to friends!

We had a lovely time at this cottage on Plum Island. The location was perfect for hosting a number of friends and family through the week we stayed. The only hitch is having to provide your own linens and towels. Otherwise, a clean and well-appointed vacation cottage at a beach that we love to visit once a year.

We rented this cottage for a girls' weekend. The weather turned out to be a Nor'Easter, lots of rain and high winds, on one of the days. Despite that, we felt protected and safe at the cottage. Mary-Corinne met us at the house and gave us the low down on the area and the house, which was very much appreciated. The house is deceivingly small on the outside, spacious and clean inside; sturdy in the high winds. The heat worked well. The cottage had everything we could ask for: a tv with cable to watch the Red Sox play off games, a wine opener, and even wine! The house is a short and easy drive into Newburyport, and an easy walk to the beach. There are also fun restaurant/bars on Plum Island that we took advantage of. We'd definitely go back.

We loved this little beach bungalow. It was bright and comfortable. Just a few steps away from the dune path leading to a long oceanside beach. Great kitchen, comfy beds, cozy living room, nice porch. We stayed during some cool weather in October and were warm and happy! Our host/greeter was helpful and welcoming.
