About this cottage rental
Seabright Cabin is a fully updated 1913 historic cottage in the Seabright neighborhood of Santa Cruz. We rent to mature adults over 25 years old. Home may be unsafe for toddlers and small children due to the loft. No pets.
Completely renovated from top to bottom. Walk to the beach, harbor, restaurants, coffee shops, and Boardwalk. One bedroom with queen bed. Open, light-filled floor plan creates an inviting space that feels much larger. Features include high-speed wireless internet, warm-water outdoor shower, gas BBQ, and stacking washer-dryer. Snugly insulated for comfort and quiet. Ceiling fans and double-hung wood windows circulate summer breezes, and a gas stove keeps things toasty warm on winter days. Driveway with uncovered parking for one car. All linens, beach gear, cooking and serving supplies, board games, DVD library included. Flat-screen TV with blu-ray, and Roku for streaming Netflix, HBO Max, and other content. No cable at this time. Youtube TV has live sports and news.
Front porch with antique chairs gets morning sun, perfect for enjoying your coffee or catching up on email. Back patio has a dining table with umbrella seating 4. Fruit trees provide shade and fresh fruit for summer guests.
Seabright Beach is a 6 minute walk and the Santa Cruz yacht Harbor is a 5-10 minute walk. The Boardwalk Amusement park is an easy walk (15 min and save the high parking fee), but geographically separated from our neighborhood by the San Lorenzo River so you don't get the crowds and traffic. Warehouse complex across the street has the popular Verve coffee roastery for your morning latte, and a rock climbing gym with yoga and other classes available for visitors. Great restaurants and coffee shops are on adjacent blocks. The home is centrally located so you're usually less than 10 minutes from almost anything you want to do in Santa Cruz.

We had a great time. The house is great has everything you need the neighbor hood is fun. Coffeehouse across street was good to have. We stayed in May so no ac was fine, we had cool nights and days. Lots of room for two maybe a small family it did have a loft. The only negative was bathroom was tight. TV or entertainment system took a while to figure out never got streaming service that they said they had. But we did get tv to mirror from IPad which help. Otherwise parking was close. house was beach bungalow.close to beach and all the area to hang out and close to PCH 1. Price was great for what you get.

We had a wonderful time enjoying this cottage. It was well equipped and I appreciated your suggestions. It was nice having the driveway for parking and washer/dryer to clean up before moving on. The outdoor shower was refreshing.
We enjoyed several bike rides in the area; Henry Cowel pipeline trail, East/West Cliff St, Natural Bridges, cliff ride by Seymour discovery center, Cliff ride at Wilder St park, beach ride from New Brighton to Rio Del Mar…
Wednesday night sailing race with happy hr at the Crow’s Nest was wonderful. Steam train through the redwoods was a great way to enjoy the trees. The sectional was comfy for a movie at the end of the day and the bed refreshed us for another day of fun. Loved all the windows and so much light.

It is very rare that a rental lives up to our expectations. Perfect location. Walk to most all the first n stuff to do. Close to a great beach. Good breakfast place around the corner. Small grocer two blocks away. Very clean and comfortable. Host is spot on and instantly responsive. Rental cost very reasonable. Good parking for one car. Wonderful little patio out back. House feels bigger than shown. Perfect for a couple. I would happily rent again. Thanks for being a great host!

Seabright is a wonderful neighborhood with the beach, restaurants, coffee, grocery stores all in walking distance. The house is unpretentious but comfortable, attractive, and well maintained. We stay here, if we can, every time we come to see our sons’ family.

Incredible renovation of an early 1900’s cabin. Very well equipped and comfortable. Verve caffe across the street was a perk… haha. Would recommend to others.

This small home fit our needs perfectly for our short family getaway weekend. A young adult couple slept comfortably in the loft, while my husband and I enjoyed the bedroom. The owner was very responsive. We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We enjoy the Santa Cruz area, especially the neighborhoods surrounding this home. The climbing gym and Verve coffee is right across the street, and our favorite Italian restaurant, Tramonti, was just around the corner! The Boardwalk and beach are an easy walk away. A compact gas stove in the family area is the only source of heat, but it is very sufficient, and adds just the right ambiance to the home. We look forward to returning.

The cabin was just as pictured- very clean and very comfortable. Just me and my husband so we did not use the loft space. It’s a short walk to the beach and a short drive to the Redwoods. Highly recommend!!

This house lives larger than it looks. Was perfect for my wife and I. The front porch and enclosed back patio/yard provide enjoyable spaces beyond the house itself. The location is easily walking distance close to Seabright Beach and a handful of good eating/drinking establishments. Easy drives to the boardwalk and municipal wharf. We will return again.

Our family of 4 loved staying in the Seabright cabin! It is stocked with everything we needed, like cooking supplies, laundry, and even a boogie board. There's a fantastic coffee shop across the street and another just around the corner, plus great restaurants one block away. Beach is gorgeous and about a 10 minute walk from the house. We hope to be back next summer!

a great little cottage across from Verve coffee, near the beach and Soquel Ave markets and restaurants, inside the unit all the attention to detail that you would want in a high quality VRBO property. As Goldilocks said, it was "just right."

Wonderful home which appeared more spacious than it is. Very comfortable and well kitted out. Owner responded very promptly to all queries which was much appreciated when our flight was cancelled at the last minute. Within easy walking distance of beaches and harbour, the famous Boardwalk and shopping areas. The coffee roasters across the road was a little too convenient!

We found Seabright Cabin perfect for visiting family in the Santa Cruz area. Though cozy, we had enough room for everyone. We made breakfast in the well stocked kitchen every morning. Seabright was well located for our adventures from San Francisco to Monterrey. The owners were extremely easy to communicate with.

Very impressed with the cottage. Small but very cozy. Contained everything that we needed and was in a great location. The bed, bedding, and pillows were very comfy. The smell of roasting coffee beans from Verve was great. We walked to the restaurants in the neighborhood and every meal was amazing. Rarely had to drive anywhere. Would definitely stay there again.

I almost don't want to share this with other people as this place is sure to book up with repeat visitors. This was the best short-term rental I've done over the years (~50) across various platforms. (OK, it's a tie with another excellent place on Vine St. in Paso Robles).) Everything is as described. It is very clean - the owner's attention to detail is reflected in the specific instructions for facility and equipment use. It is comfortable and well laid out. The kitchen is well appointed with quality equipment and serviceware - it felt like cooking at home. The gas grill is on the smaller side, but worked well. Loved the outdoor shower, too.
It is also very well lit - so many places, whether hotels or house rentals, have poor lighting. (Took a while to find the overhead kitchen light on the side of the counter, but even without it, there's great counter lighting.)
We did not use the heat, so don't know how that works.
We did not go up into the loft, but it does have quite low ceilings and a steep ladder up. Also, the two small windows don't appear to open, so if it's hot, the home ceiling fan might be smartly accompanied by a small personal fan(s).
It is a short walk from the wide beach and there's a closeby market as well as several great pub and dining options.
If and when we stay in Santa Cruz again, I hope to stay at this place.

Very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated home. The loft was great for my teenage son. Close to the nicest beach. Great breakfast cafe and burger spot around the corner. The host was extemely prompt in responding to questions.

My family is familiar with the Seabright neighborhood of Santa Cruz, and targeted this area when visiting. This house had everything that we needed and we loved the location! The home is clean and equipped with everything a couple or small family would need. My daughters, ages 8 & 9, loved their little 'hideout' in the loft area, and could easily access the space with the ladder for sleeping or just getting some downtime. My husband and I loved sitting outside on the front porch in the morning after grabbing our delicious coffee from Verve! We walked to the Boardwalk each day, and enjoyed Seabright beach with fewer crowds compared to the neighboring beaches. The house is easily walkable to great restaurants and shops. We appreciated the ease of check in/check out, and look forward to returning in the near future!!! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to visit Santa Cruz!

Bright, clean, comfortable, good location
When I walked into the house I said 'wow' because it felt so airy and bright inside, compared to what I was expecting based on the listing and the apparent size from the street. The street is quiet and feels safe, and the house has everything, very homey, nicely furnished, lots of things within walking distance. My sister and I stayed in SC for a few days while visiting our mom. It wasn't quite warm enough for us to need the outdoor shower but we enjoyed the wonderful back patio. I let my sister take the bedroom, and I crawled up into the loft, because it seemed more fun and cozy than sleeping on the comfy sofa. I stacked the two twin mattresses and slept pretty well.
When I was getting something from the car, a passerby said "Your house is so cute!" I said "I *wish* it was my house." Definitely would stay here again if going to Santa Cruz.

Bronson Vacation
I absolutely loved this place! It was quiet, clean, and roomy for the four of us that stayed there. I will definitely return the next time we stay in Santa Cruz. It was close to everything, the Boardwalk was a fifteen minute walk. Jump on this place before your dates are booked.
