Stunning Wanaka has much to offer the visitor throughout the year from art galleries to adventure tourism. Easy access to outdoor activities such as biking, skiing, walking and water sports make a trip to this area a must. Come and enjoy this natural wonderland of mountains, glaciers, rivers and lakes.

This art filled house has quality furnishings and comfortable beds ensuring you sleep well. With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms over 3 levels your group will have plenty of space to enjoy their stay. The light filled master bedroom with walk in wardrobe and ensuite with bath will delight. The house also features two spacious living areas with well equipped open plan kitchen and dining area opening onto the outdoor living area. A heat pump, under floor heating and wood fire will keep you warm in winter.

Other features include a double car port, generous off street parking and free WiFi.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Peter’s home is the perfect location for your stay in Wānaka as everything you’ll want to see and do is an easy walk or quick drive. The beds are soooo comfortable, the kitchen was very efficient and well equipped, washer and dryer are a nice plus as is the parking carport, and there is a ton of room inside and out. One of our most favorite stays!

First time in Wanaka and The Art House was a perfect place for it. Just outside of main town area and next to a big park. House had everything that you could need and had great spaces for relaxing especially when enjoying the fireplace!

This is a stunning home that was an absolute pleasure to stay in. Extremely clean and tidy, great open plan flow, everything you need provided with a lovely outdoor area and garden. The owner was very nice, helpful and hospitable. We will definitely stay again. Thanks very much for having us to stay.

The Art House experience

Four of us stayed at this beautiful, comfortable (especially the beds), well-equiped house. It was great to have the owner next door in case we had questions or concerns. Everything was in good working order & the laundry facility was great. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with lovely views, easy off street parking with a 10 to 15 minutes walk to town. We were all delighted with our stay & have no hesitation in recommending it to others

Great location with every amenity you could ask for. Backyard garden with fresh fruits and vegetable. Walking distance to downtown Wanaka. Easy access to wine country and the mountains. Peter is a great host!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautifully maintained property with a lovely feel to it and worked really well for our extended adult family. An easy walk into town and great views, especially from the matter bedroom.

The art house was an absolutely wonderful base for exploring Wanaka. The home is decorated in a lovely way. Lots of beautiful art and little touches. Phenomenal beds and bedding. Fully stocked kitchen with upscale appliances. Great couches and chairs. Beautiful vegetable garden. The host, Peter, could not have been nicer. We’ve stayed in 18 homes on our 3 month trip. This is the first we’d love to live in.

We had a great holiday in Art house. The house is very well laid out, plenty of room, clean and tidy with everything we needed. Awesome indoor/outdoor living for hot sunny days. Great location, only a short stroll into town. Amazing views from upstairs!! We will definitely be back!

This is a really amazing house set just outside Wanaka but in easy walking distance to the lake front. The house was immaculate and furnished beautifully. The art work on the walls was wonderful. We loved it so much that we decided to stay for another 3 nights!

The house is new, comfortable, and well laid out with a nice little outside area. We were three couples - every one of us loved the place. Including Peter's iPod - the only source of music in the place (unless you also have an old iPod) - which initially we were worried about, but by the end of the week we all had a higher appreciation of jazz... cheers!
