About this apartment rental
The 93 m2 air-conditioned apartment has the original design of the 1950-60s with a few modern pieces of furniture and details. It features furniture designed by classics of Croatian and Slovenian modern design that were recently professionally restored - one of which is unique. The spacious apartment offers a unique interior design, dominated by a large living room that can be divided in two with mobile glass doors; the room has one real bed and one comfortable sofa bed. Wall-to-wall windows in the living room towards the south, offer a lot of light, as well as an attractive panoramic view of the city - with the central St. Blaz church tower. A balcony in the kitchen, next to the living room, offers a place from where the city panorama can be enjoyed outdoors. Our apartment also offers a private library, with various books from philosophy, political science, human rights, history, art history, literature, in English, French and local languages.
Kitchen has a dining table, stove, dishwasher, water heater, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, toaster, Moka pot, dishes and pottery, breakfast, coffee, tea, spices.
The main bedroom has a king-size bed, nightstands and a wall-to-wall wardrobe and a closet.
The second bedroom, has a single bed, a night light and a working table.
All beds have accompanying linen.
The bathroom is equipped with a tub and installed shower; toilet, bidet and lavatory with a mirror. The second half-bathroom has a toilet and a lavatory with a mirror. All guests get a set of towels and toilet essential.
The neighbourhood is located between two beautiful squares - British Square and Franjo Tudjman Square, where a large green surface offers an ideal place to walk your dog. Just 2 minutes from the apartment there is a small park that goes by the Bosanska street - one of the most residential streets in the city, with numerous early 20th-century villas and embassies. The historical British Square offers a unique Zagreb experience of a vibrant square with bars, restaurants, food market and weekly flea market - where visitors can look and buy everything from authentic classic furniture to jewellery and old books. Bars on and around the square offer a great experience: Mali Cafe offers a great Illy brand coffee, overlooking the square from the higher ground; two Ellis cafes in the Ilica street next to the square offer one of the best coffees, personally roasted by the owner of the bars, a coffee expert with numerous prizes and recognition; Kava tava offers a terrace on the square, where one can enjoy pancakes or delicious sandwiches. Just across the tram station on the square, in an inner yard, there is small restaurant Sherry's, where one can enjoy one of the best gourmand hamburgers, tuna steak and delicious meals under an open sky. In Ilica, next to the British Square, there is a nice Chinese restaurant Peking, while 2 minutes away there is the Jung Yuan - the first authentic Chinese tea house in Zagreb. In Ilica near the square, there is also the Asian fast food Walk n' Walk, with affordable meals. Nearby Pivnica Medvegrad offers the experience of an old Zagreb tavern, where one can drink draft beer and eat traditional food.
Just 3 minutes from the apartment there is the nearest tram station, across the Franjo Tudjman Square. 2 Minutes from there, on the same square, there is a bus stop. When the square is crossed, some 5 minutes away, there is a train station. On the square, there are also taxi stands. 5 minutes from the apartment there is the bus station on the British Square.
