Hale Ola Kai is a three bedroom, three bath home located near world famous Hanalei Bay. The house is an elegant and modern remodeled home. The stunning interior is equipped with anything you need to make your stay in Hanalei perfect. No expense has been spared to make this the vacation destination of your dreams. The living area focuses south, with floor to ceiling windows featuring the most beautiful views of our beloved Hanalei Mountains and waterfalls - not a common sight in many of the homes in Hanalei. But the sun does go down in Hanalei and there's a massive flat screen TV for game day. The kitchen is open to the living and dining space, so the family can interact freely. The kitchen is well equipped for the gourmet cook. And there’s a dishwasher for the workers. Two of the bedrooms have king beds, the third bedroom has two twins. The two master bedrooms and the main upstairs living area have AC. The lanai is over-sized, with dining and seating options, a perfect spot to enjoy the view, using the high-speed wireless Internet service to stay in touch with the outside world. There's a huge outdoor shower, with hot and cold water. Gas BBQ. The amenities also include top of the line kitchen appliances - gas cook top, stacked wall oven and microwave, side by side refrigerator with filtered water in the door, large capacity Washer and Dryer. The first floor offers an expansive media room / den, with a kitchenette. Hale Ola Kai is located barely a block from Hanalei Bay, frequently voted one of the best beaches in the country. It’s a gentle lagoon dotted with sailboats all summer, and boasts world-class surf in the winter. The picturesque little town of Hanalei is about a half mile from the house – within easy walking distance. Hanalei town has delicious restaurants, lovely shops, and a local grocery store for your convenience. Bi-weekly local farmer’s markets are within less than a mile for fresh produce and local products. Despite its fame, Hanalei has been able to maintain its charming small town atmosphere, and the beach in Hanalei is rarely overrun with beachgoers. Paradise Found!

We really loved our stay at Hale Ola Kai for several reasons. First of all, the location was amazing - literally around the corner and across the street from the beach park at Hanalei Bay. It was easy access directly to the beach. The home is in a very quiet and peaceful culdesac. We loved using the surf boards, SUP, boogie boards, chairs and miscellaneous beach equipment. The kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed to fix our meals at home and eat outside on the deck, which had incredible views all around. The rooms were comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was great. The one room with the 2 twin beds wasn't air conditioned, so we had to make sure we turned on all the fans and opened windows to get a breeze, otherwise it was uncomfortable for a bit. We didn't even use the downstairs family room or office and kitchenette, but it would be great if we had the need to stay inside. I also really loved the fact that there was enough seating indoors for our whole family to relax at the end of the day - there are 3 large couches in the upstairs family room. I really loved the fact that I felt like I was walking into a home that had everything I needed for my vacation - from garbage bags, laundry soap, bathroom supplies, extra towels and linens, a fully stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies, beach toys, etc. It made it so much easier to relax as well as clean up after ourselves. I would highly recommend this rental and we are excited to return again soon!

Very relaxing stay - walking distance to beach and town. Well equipped house, great kitchen set up, beach gear etc.
AC works well in the 2 bedrooms. Definitely warm in rest of the house during the day, but not unbearable at all.

Wonderful house. Three bedrooms were comfortable. We had four people, but could have easily accommodated a couple of more. The downstairs has a sectional sofa and big tv, but we hardly went down there.
Internet is very fast, which is appreciated. There is an Xbox on the 70” tv upstairs, which our kids enjoyed.
As no surprise on Kauai, the chickens are loud at night!
The house next door is also rental and they were loud a couple of nights.
There is a nice assortment of beach gear (wagons, chairs, towels, body boards, light snorkeling gear).
One thing that would be a big improvement woukd be some bikes to ride downtown. At least two would be awesome.
We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Hanalei.

This was our second time staying here. We actually arranged our vacation around when this house was available because we knew this was where we wanted to stay while in Hanalei. And hopefully, we'll be fortunate to stay here again. You can't beat the location or the views of the mountains. It holds a large family very well. I think the only drawback is that the room with the two single beds in not air conditioned. In January, this was fine. The time before we stayed in October and it was hot. But the basement stays very cool, as an alternative place to sleep. We all cherished our time here. Thank you!

This house met our needs quite well. It has very easy access to to both the beach and to Hanalei town. The appliances and furniture are top notch, and it is well equipped with various beach items, snorkeling and boards. The house has lots of space for 6 people - two air conditioned bedrooms with king beds, one un-air conditioned bedroom with twin beds, and a very large un-air conditioned living/dining/kitchen room. The downstairs also has a huge un-airconditioned living room that we barely used. Both living room spaces have large flat screen tv's. The drive-through under the house has washer/dryer and all the beach gear. We spent a lot of time on the front deck, and had most of our meals there to enjoy the summer breezes in the morning and evening. Our only complaint was that the un-air conditioned space got quite warm in spite of the large ceiling fans and the open window louvers.

We recently vacationed in Hanalei after only taking day trips on all of our visits to Kauai. Wow!! I didn't realize when booking this property that it is STEPS from the beach, as well as just a quick walk to the town. We enjoyed Hale Ola Kai not only for the location, but for all the wonderful extras...beach gear, furnishings, space to spread out, and especially the views of the mountains and those waterfalls!!!! The house had every amenity we could want, except for a garbage disposal. It was quite comfortable with a beautiful view of the mountains from the lanai. The house is on a dead-end street so it is quiet, but it is so close to down town and right across the street from the beach park, a perfect location. In addition, the property manager was very available and responsive. We could not find an iron, and Halley (sp?) brought one over. The bridge closed on the morning we were to leave due to flooding from heavy rains, and Halley contacted us to assure us that we could stay if we could not get out. Fortunately, we could get out before our flight. Thank you, Halley.

We very much enjoyed our three week stay at Hale Ola Kai. Over the course of our stay our two sons and their families were able to come to be with us. Our older son and his family joined us for the first part of our stay and our other son and his family came for the last seven days. We loved the chance to be with them in such a lovely home that is in such a perfect location so close to the beach and town. The location is very quiet and free of traffic. The home is very comfortable. The amenities were perfect for our needs.The home was clean and well-maintained and the Na Pali Properties staff was very helpful. We would definitely recommend the property to friends and relatives.We especially enjoyed being able to walk so easily to the beach every day and evening as well as being able to walk to town to shop or eat at so many excellent restaurants.We hope to be able to plan this special family gathering time again in the coming years! This place is perfect. A block from the beach. My family (my wife and I, our two little ones, and the two grandmothers) enjoyed every moment of our stay (even the rainy ones). Amazing view of the mountains behind Hanalei. Nice amenities (beach equipment, downstairs shower, etc.). Also, property manager was very communicative and responsive.

Beautiful home in a great location. Morning coffee on the deck with the Mountain View was our happy place. The furnishings in this home are beautiful. Lots of Hawaiian charm. The two king beds (suites) are very comfortable. The twin beds are not quite as comfortable for adults but perfect for kids. The beds are not the same height and weren't ideal for the couple who got that room since they couldn't be pushed together. The AC in the bedrooms were a lifesaver and one of the reasons we picked this house. There is not AC in the main living area. We had planned to do a lot of cooking but it was too hot to turn on the oven. More fans or shade from the afternoon sun for this area would be helpful. We were there in August so it may only be an issue during the hottest month. The other amenities we loved were the large TV's, 4 beach chairs (could have used 2 more since the house holds 6 people), beach carts, beach toys and towels. This is truly a magnificent home to rent and the Na Pali management team were very good and helpful. Hope to return someday.

Our family has stayed in many places in Hanalei one the past 10 years, but Hale Ola Kai is the best place we've enjoyed. Why? Location and lanai. The house is only a block from the beach and when you are not at the beach you can enjoy the comfortable furniture on the lanai and enjoy the view. All in all a great time.

Beautiful home near the beach
We had a lovely 2 week stay at this home. Everything was clean, comfortable, pretty, and well stocked. The view of the mountains was beautiful to wake up to every day, and we spent many hours on the expansive lanai. The bonus space on the lower level provides an extra area for TV watching, playing games, or just relaxing. And of course the location can’t be beat - one block to the beach and barely a 10 minute walk to town.

Beautiful house, but advise against renting thru Na Pali Properties
Beautiful house. However, advise against renting any property managed by Na Pali Properties. This firm charged me final payment on May 24 instead of June 2, which would have been the 60 days prior to reservation, and only then informed me of landslide which cut off Hanalei from rest of Kauai. It was very difficult to come in/out of Hanalei and ruined our trip because we had friends staying in Princeville. The water, ice and washing machine didn't work. I had to rinse our clothes in shower and manually wring them out. Na Pali rep thought that was quiet funny.
