About this house rental

Upside down contemporary saltbox with upstairs great room, working fireplace, and brand new updated kitchen with half bathroom. Sliding doors open to newly renovated wrap around deck on both levels with gorgeous views of Long Pond. Swans on the water not guaranteed, but usually there. Central A/C makes for a comfortable stay during hottest summer months.

Two private master bedrooms (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs) with en suite full bathrooms, queen size beds, and separate access to decks make this house ideal for extended families, groups, or two families with children. Downstairs has 2 additional bedrooms and a full bath: one is a charming twin room with two beds and a larger bunk room that can sleep up to 4. We will accept well-behaved pets.

House is located 1 mile from Madaket Beach, Millie's, and Smith's Point and all the loveliness of the West End of the island. 1 block from Madaket bike path and bus stop (5 miles into town). Gas grill, table and chairs and lounges are on the upper deck for relaxing and best views of sunsets. Beach chairs and outdoor shower included.

WiFi, Washer/Dryer, Cable package with HBO and other premium channels, and stereo system provided. Seven night minimum stay required in summer.

We love our stay at Long pond road. This is our third time at the house. It is perfect for two families and appreciate being able to bring the pooch too. The view off the back deck is stunning in the morning. We hope to be back again!

Long Pond Road is a quiet and serene location in Nantucket. Wake up in the morning to swans swimming leisurely in your backyard. Close to town and beaches. Thank you for a nice stay.

Highlight of this rental is by far the location. Pond view and a 2 minute drive to Madaket Beach and Smiths Point. Kids rode their bikes to beach on the bike path! Host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall a great stay and the house was as advertised.

We just returned from a great week in Madaket. The house is spacious and the location is great. Lots of good running and walking loops around and also very close to beach and Millie’s. Upstairs is very bright and sunny with views of Long Pond. The downstairs is useful because it accommodates sleeping 8! However I would say it’s a little outdated downstairs. Good for kids.

We really enjoyed our week! A very peaceful and private spot yet close to beaches and a quick drive or bus to town. Very comfortable for our family with plenty of indoor and outdoor space! Sally is extremely responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you!

Stayed here with a few friends for a wedding. While the location definitely requires a rental car / ubers to get around, the house is nicer in person than the pictures portray. The deck is a great place to hang out and there is ample space in the house. The host was friendly and accommodating on check in / check out times.

We had a wonderful time staying at the house! it has a nice sunny deck overlooking long pond, and a nice back yard for the kids to run around. The rooms were clean and the kitchen well appointed. the island is small - downtown was 15 minute drive away and provision stores were 15-20 minutes drive away (like stop and shop). Millies, the only dinning this side of the island, was fantastic food. Madaket beach right near by is a rough and tumble fun beach, but several northern beaches are less then 10 minute drive away - we really liked Jetties near town. The owner was incredibly responsive to questions - which we had many prior and during the trip. Thank you!

I've been going to ACK for 50 years. Never stayed in a home with such breathtaking views and a wonderful location. Saw a family of beautiful swans on Long Pond swim by at least once a day. The main wrap around deck provided so much natural light from the four sliders in the master BR and living room. Open the sliders and we always had a cool breeze. Had A/C but didn't need it very often. The beach was a five minute drive and at times you could hear the waves from the house. Two master bedrooms, one for my daughter and son in law, and my grandkids loved the bunk beds. Plenty of space, one bedroom was never occupied. The home was clean upon arrival, well stocked, and I never had to contact the host because everything was perfect. Nantucket is a beautiful place, this home made it even better.

Great house on Nantucket! Provides privacy but still an easy car ride to everything. Great house for two families as it has two master bedrooms and two other bedrooms with multiples beds. This house checks all the boxes!

We loved this home and the location. We have been visiting Nantucket for over 15 years and try to stay in different locations each year. This is definitly one of our favorites. The home was a perfect location to beaches and easy to get into town. The home was very comfortable and the homeowners provided all the necessities that were needed for our week vacation.

I was looking forward to early morning coffee on that deck , looking at the pond. After a quick run around Bartlett farms, armed with Nantucket Barlett Blend, and a bread from the Nantucket Bakery, I lived it. House was great. If you haven't been to Madakeet, it's a 10 min drive to town. We took our car for flexibility, but also used the bus right up the street to have adult cocktails while shopping and dining. I've been to Madakeet before, so Millie's was on the list and was amazing. Great margaritas. We scoped out all the beaches, settled on Dioynus for the gentle surf. You just can't beat a Nantucket stay. And the house was large. 3 bathrooms was a treat. High end appliances. (I think I'm buying that toaster oven). Owner was very nice about an issue with the internet. Even trash was organized and a breeze.

We have been coming to Nantucket for 25 years and immediately felt at home in this home. Everything was perfect. A great location to get into town or to the amazing Madaket sunsets. Or, just sit on the deck which has a great view of long pond and the occasional Swan family floating by. We loved it and will be booking for 2020.

We couldn't have been happier with the property and our stay. We had two children under three and a dog with us, and the house was perfect for us. Easy access to multiple south-side and north-side beaches, Millie's and town. We'll be back.

My family of four enjoyed our stay at this Madaket area home. The home provided all the essential amenities. We biked and walked to the beach and Millie's Restaurant (about a mile away) often and enjoyed the sunsets! If you are looking to escape the hustle of town, I would certainly recommend this home. You also have the option to walk up the road (less than a 1/4 mile) and catch the Wave Bus at the corner. In addition, the owner was extremely accommodating.
