The location is perfect! The hotel is very nice and with stylish furnitures you have the impression to move back in time!
The internet on the last floor didn’t work but we could enjoy the time without it.

Nicely kept historical house. Bed and linens very comfortable. Excellent service - very nice and welcoming. We took the train, transferred to subway outside train station, then walked only a couple blocks to the Bed & Breakfast.

Breakfast was great, very substantial. Lots of variety. Nice bonus touches of wine in the late afternoon and cookies after dinner. Staff were exceedingly friendly and very pleasant. Lovely old period home.
The mattress needs to be replaced immediately. I had a very sore back from sleeping on it. Pillows need replacing as well. Internet is spotty on the 4th floor. We could only get the main TV station. We couldn't get the other stations using the second remote.

Everything! But especially our breakfast with the best coffee.
You will be able to enjoy the coffee anytime but again expect homemade cookies nightly.

The historic nature of the house was respected and enhanced.
Liz is a treasure! Her cooking was excellent (special mention to the french toast and the lemon slice) and she made us feel very welcome.

The charm of the place made it so comfortable and the people were very friendly.
We were 4 floors up and no elevator. But they offered to change our room to a lower level. We chose to stay at the top. Lots of stairs. But it was fine.

Very fun historic hotel with a great location and lovely breakfast.
Room, as you can imagine in a historic hotel, was rather small and the bed/pillows were not the most comfortable.

The room was nice. The location was near where we wanted to go. Parking for the B & B was easy but was not free.
Our room was on the third floor and there is no elevator. The ceilings in this historic property were very high, stairs between floors were nearly double. They do not allow food in your rooms, and therefore no refrigerators or microwaves. You are allowed to bring in delivery or take out, but can only eat it in the dining room, no kitchen access.

Nature was so sweet and welcoming! She really made the stay perfect! I also loved how well preserved the home was. It felt like I had stepped into the past.

accessibility from the old city, price, breakfast, staff attitude, free flow drink service, historical building
small insects on the bed and the ceiling, no elevator though it has 4 stairs-troublesome if u have a heavy suitcase

Beautiful, classic, periodic ambience! Understand that there were no elevators, because t outside if that, it is an [updated] page out of history! We will stay again. Thank you Nature!!

The property is a historic building located in the older historic side of the city, so there is really great access to the liberty bell, independence museum etc, all within easy walking distance. As the property is older the room we were in was not big however it had en-suite and the usual facilities, however the property is charming and the staff really friendly and accommodating. A great place to stay for visiting Philadelphia.
There was no fault I could find with the place.

Cozy hotel located in a historic building, with matching decor. We think there was only one other person staying there besides us.
The highlight of our or stay was the breakfast - by far the best breakfast we ever had in any hotel! The person cooking the breakfast prepares it right there, so it feels like a home-cooked meal and the portions are very generous and very tasty. One of us eats vegan and got a special - likewise tasty - meal. They also put out cookies in the evening for the hotel guests, and they had prepared separate vegan cookies.
The hotel is located in historic center of Philadelphia and is about 10 minutes walk from Independence Hall and Liberty Bell and about 5 minutes walk from the nearest subway station.
Not a negative, just something to keep in mind: because the hotel is located in a historic building, there is no elevator inside, and carrying the suitcases up steep stairs might be challenging.

Weekend breakfast was nice, hot entree added tot he cold spread made for a nice change. During the week, smaller cold spread of fruits, eggs, assorted breads and pastries.
Room was a little small for our taste. And the stairs were not the favorite but understood. Otherwise, was nice stay, short ride from the airport and in the midst of downtown.

Location great. Staff outstanding! Loved little touches, cookies out late and wine hour of course. Friendly
Stairs to top room, no need for gym. Bed position as I got the lesser straw and slept under the sloping roof, few banged heads.

Food was DELICIOUS, the charming level of the house is off the charts, and it was just generally cozy and adorable.
Be prepared for lots of stairs. Its very warm and dry in the rooms in the winter, that heat isn't messing around.

My first hotel/b&b stay in Philadelphia and honestly I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Lovely staff, Nature was so sweet and helpful. My husband has a gluten sensitivity and they made sure he was taken care of for the breakfast included. Plus they have free glass of wine between 530 and 630. After 830, they made sure my husband had gluten free cookies as they bake cookies in the evening for their guests.Beyond expectations, definitely worth the money.
A little noisy from people walking but it wasn't terrible like most areas of the city. Rooms were on the small side but it's how it was constructed in the 1700s.

Great place to stay. Love the character of the building.
The late arrival process resulted in some confusion when it came time to checking out.

Warm greeting upon our arrival. The house is old and very cozy! Everything was clean! The location is great! You can walk everywhere (museums, restaurants, attractions) or take a taxi, Uber, train or bus. We were there over the weekend to see the 76's play and it's only a 10 minute drive to the Wells Fargo Center. A car park is a 2-minute walk from Thomas Bond House. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a dream. We've never had that before here in the US! Really fresh and tasty with a large selection, lovingly prepared! We were even asked if we had allergies to certain foods. We felt comfortable there from the first minute. If we come to Philadelphia again, we would definitely only stay at the Thomas Bond House! Many thanks to the TBH team for making it possible for us to have a great weekend!!💕

Nature and the rest of the staff were wonderful. Enjoyed the wine hour one evening and breakfast was wonderful. We really liked our room and the bed was very comfortable.
We really liked our room and the bed was very comfortable. We are getting older though and our room ended up on the top floor but we managed. It was extremely hot inside our room and no air conditioning as the heat has been switched over for the winter.

We really enjoyed returning to this cozy and hospitable guest house for the second time. The location is unbeatable, the atmosphere is unique, the weekend breakfast is truly memorable, and the team who works there makes you feel completely at home. The Thomas Bond House isn't just a place to spend the night, it's a full experience. We will miss Georgie, the lovely feline staff member!
Nothing, everything was great!
